Depends what the "drug" is. It is such a large catch-all word. Alcohol is a drug, as is caffeine. If he has been smoking weed, I wouldn't worry. If he is on harder stuff, it is time to confront him before it is too late. He may need your support, understanding, and sympathy....

Is it weird that my boyfriend of almost 2 months falls of the planet for two or three days at a time? i don't hear from him at all for days and he thinks it's totally normal.

No, it is not weird. We blokes like to have some time to ourselves now and again - I believe in the US it's called "me-time". Between work, family, and love-life, there is not a lot of time for us poor blokes to just kick back with a beer and a book and consider the lillies....

I am happy for people to believe what they will. If folk wanna believe in God, the Spaghetti Monster, or a Giant Pink Fairy from Outer Space is fine by me. So long as they hold no collective power on our government, society, or institutions.
