One measure is stereotypical behaviour, which is often seen in caged animals. The animals will do the same thing all the time, like walking the same pattern in their pen. It is believed to be caused by lack of stimulation. I guess you could call that a kind of unhappiness....

As I've already said in a comment to TheGrimReefer's answer, you have to keep in mind that healthcare is free in Denmark, that means paid by the state. This is not so much to generate money through extra taxes as to save money on the healthcare bill. Also, unhealthy food is more expensive here...

I use canon (550D), but to be honest I think it's a matter of taste much of the way.. Canon might be a bit more sturdy while nikon typically seems to handle noise reduction at extreme ISO speeds a bit better

Kinda difficult to answer since asking what started it implies that some process or energy led to the initiation of the beginning of the universe. However, before the creation of the universe, there was no time, so there can't have been anything. Even saying "before the creation of the universe"...
