I find that the idea that we are in control of our bodies with a soul an illusion. What we really are is, first of all, the whole of our body. And although our bodies are bounded with skin, and we can differentiate between outside and inside, they cannot exist except in a certain kind of natural environment. Obviously a body requires air, and the air must be within a certain temperature range....

This question is especially for those who believe there is no designer or creator of the universe. How did atoms, with their great precision and nearly unbreakable bonds, come into existence? Why do they follow such exact , predictable patterns?
Nobody really knows... Imaging or believing in a creator or manufacturer just makes the whole ball of wax that much more complex....

Using food products like corn or soybeans to make fuel is counterproductive and will substantially raise our food prices. It has about 1/10 of the carbon footprint from oil and we don't have to start new drilling to get it....

The bible says in Proverbs 6:6 to consider the ways of an ant and be wise. What is it that we can learn from ants?
The ant isn't restricted by words and thoughts of being an independent agent and inherently understands that he is part of the whole and acts accordingly. The lesson to me is that we need to understand that we are far more than just an ego in a bag of skin. We are the Whole. And we should act accordingly.

Using the withdrawal method as a contractive when is it safe for your partner to ejaculate and you not get pregnant?
The withdrawal method isn't an accepted contraceptive and is never safe. You don't have to ejaculate to have sperm coming out of the penis. There have been cases of woman getting pregnant just from a man touching her on the clitoris with a penis that just had a little pre-ejaculate on it. There can be little spermy in the pre-ejaculate. Practice juggling . Juggling four balls or oranges is in a way an illusion. The trick is to juggle two in each hand of something of the same color. You need to juggle them in a clockwise way in the right hand and counter clockwise in the left to give the illusion that you are juggling them all between both hands.

How important is it for our high office holders to have an accurate understanding of science including evolution - whether they agree with it or not?
The American people don't care about the theory of evolution. They want a leader that understands our failed energy policy and our economy. Good leaders don't alway need to understand things as much as they need to have the skill to find out..That's why they should have a good team of people that are leaders in those particular fields to advise them.

Death penalty....for or against and why?do convicted child molesters, rapist, and drug dealers that kill, deserve to be monetarily supported by you(taxpayer) until they die of old age?
FYI..It costs more for appeals than to house them the rest of their lives. I'm against the death penalty mainly for that reason. We pay way too much for prisons. We have 5% of the worlds population and 25% of all the worlds convicts behind bars here. 40% of those in prison are there for crimes involving just possession of drugs with...

And why do Christians break all kinds of rules and commandments? They are all sinners but like to grab onto one phrase in the Bible of how another man shouldn't sleep next to another man and condemn their brothers and sisters. What about working on The Sabbath? I find that the sensation of myself as an ego inside a bag of skin is really an illusion. What we really are is, first of all, the whole of our body. It won't be that long. Our economy is very dependent on transportation and we presently have no alternatives to oil at this time. A lot of people will tell you that they have faith. But true faith is a state of openness or trust. To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. And the attitude of faith is the very opposite of clinging to belief, of holding on. In other words, a person who is...

If atheists had their way would they be as tolerant of religion as religion has been tolerant of them?
Atheists have no agenda like the religious and are only bothered when religious people babble on with scripture and how they need to be saved. Atheist don't go out of their way like religious fanatics that come and knock on your door. When was the last time you had an atheist come knocking on your door handing out flyer's and booklets on how to be an atheist.

Al-Qaeda isn't the real problem right now in Iraq. We are in the middle of a civil war between the Sunnis and Kurds. If we leave they will have more chaos there. Al-Qaeda has had plenty of time to hit us again on our own turf, but haven't. There is no doubt they hate us, but they hate everybody and will still want to get us.

Where does house dust come from? Can some houses be worse than others? I have to dust once a week or grass starts growing on the tables and countertops. I don't understand why my house should be this dusty.
The air is full of dust, kicked up by the wind and dispersed throughout the atmosphere. Unless you have a "clean room" like they do at chip making manufacturers, you will have dust. It's just one of the things that will always infiltrate your house no matter what you do. If you have air exchange in anyway you will get dust particles.

I would recommend you get a HVAC or refrigeration tech out to look at the system. Having the high pressure switch kick off your unit could mean a lot of things. It could be a faulty switch, but if the pressure is that high you will have very high head pressure on the compressor. This can cause very expensive damage.Someone needs to check out why the HP switch is kicking out soon.

Why did McCain vote to defund solar energy and push for use of unsafe nuclear power?
Solar energy isn't ever going to be a major source of energy. On the other hand, Nuclear Power Plants that are now very safe can replace all our coal and oil fueled energy plants and help cut down on CO2, a major greenhouse gas, and lessen our oil dependency. Nuclear Energy is by far one of the cleanest and effective ways to go. Just look at Europe and Japan.

Anyone with a swimming pool use those chlorine tablets that go in the little floaty thing instead of liquid chlorine? How do you use these and are you happy with them?
The tabs are better than the liquid. The liquid has a Ph of about 13 and when you use it you will have to keep adding muriatic acid to help keep the pool balanced. The tabs can last up in one week or longer when put in one of the floats you need to put in your pool. You don't need to remove this float when people are in the pool, but is recommended if kids are in so they don't play...

Ok, Who agrees with me that relationships work based on maturity level not age difference. You can have 20years age differenc or more but be on the same maturity level and the relationships work. Really think about this. Am I right.
Yes and No.. 20 yrs difference is a big gap of experience. There is probably going to be a difference in likes and dislikes. It is important to have some shared interests in a relationship and the more of the age gap, the harder that will be.

Why do home construction contractors have such a bad reputation? Everyone says you shouldn't give them any money before they complete a job satisfactorially, but all I've dealt with won't start until you pay them. I've never had one that worked well.
Every state has a Contractors Board and you can check if a prospective contractor's lic. is up to date, been suspended and what for, etc. The payment schedule varies from state to state and is governed by that states Contractor Board. I should also point out to you, to get at least 3 bids for any kind of work and ask for references and their lic. #.

My mother passed away two years ago leaving her house to me through a will. I sold the house last year fr $76,500 minus $11,000 for repairs, etc. Is this amount taxable? The whole thing or just partial? It was inherited. Thanks.
On the day she died it had a value. That value is the passed on value of the house to you. It may have increased in value but really doesn't mater since you automatically have a $250,000 exclusion on the sale. You didn't make anymore than that, so you owe no tax, although you are required to report the sale on your 1040.

I think because we want a quick fix. We want what we want when we want it. We, as a society are to damn impatient. And this type of attitude is why we are presently in this state.Treat the immediate behavior not the cause.

No..He got caught with his pants down and is in denial that he has a serious problem spending up to $80 grand for sex. I used to live in Reno and it is legal outside the city limits. The girls are checked once a week by a Dr. and have to use condoms.
