For our family camping, we have a Kelty Yellowstone. On the AT, we used the Kelty Vortex. On the Long Trail, we used a Moonbow custom pack/tent, and before it all, we used an old LL Bean 4 season.
The yellowstone is a nice big family car camping tent, but it is still light enough to carry out into the woods if we are doing some family backpacking. The poles broke, but I'm handy enough...

You said you thought KOAs were too expensive. I would like to suggest state parks. A lot of them have all the hook ups as KOAs and they are generally quite less expensive. They will not all have the swimming pools, but they make up for it by each being unique to one another. Happy Trails!

I hope he's not doing that. I hope you need to just study harder and apply yourself more. If he is grading you down because of your mother's past, he needs to be reported. Get proof. Like others have said, the 5 digit zip code is not accurate even down to your street. The first three numbers are a region of your state or country and then the last two narrow it down to post offices, small towns, areas within cities.
Your post code sounds like it is similar to our 5 digit plus 4 zip code, which everyone has but rarely uses. The final 4 digits will narrow down your region...

The current "record", and records aren't encouraged (because thats not what its about), is a little under 48 days I think. The average hiker does it in about 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 months. It took my wife and me 205 days. We had 30 zero mile days throughout the whole trip. It was nice to take our time and enjoy it as much and for as long as we could.

Galeanda is pretty right on....one of the greatest places is Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. Gorgeous. The mountains aren't quite as high as they are in Colorado but they are all glaciated and unique shapes. Very very impressive. That is one of my favorites.

On the long trails across America, most everybody uses internal frame backs and there is a progression towards very minimal frame packs. Gone are the 50 pound packs and here are the 20 pound packs. If you are only carrying 20 pounds, you don't need a big bulky pack....you can get away with a frameless 15 oz pack. But me personally...one of my packs is a seven and a half pound internal...

They are ranked number one and they have a pretty easy schedule in front of them, so barring a freak loss, they are going to finish the season number 1. They are not under "rated". Now as for under "estimated", maybe. Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan hope they can beat them, but I don't think they are underestimating them. Except for MSU, they haven't won a game...

Red John is right on....I'd also like to add that some GPS units (Garmin Nuvi for one) offer subscriptions to MSN Direct, FM TMC Traffic, and XMNavTraffic. With MSN Direct, you can get traffic updates, weather conditions, and even gas prices. You can actually locate the nearest cheapest gas stations wherever you are in the country. This stuff is so cool.

We learned the provinces and briefly touched on how the government worked, but aside from the Native American histories, which were mostly the locals, we barely touched Canada. My wife pumped for a year with both of our children while she was at work and I stayed with the kids. While she was home, she breastfed. When work was really stressful, she did produce less milk but it was okay because we had more milk frozen from the less stressful times. I was happy because I was able to bond with the kids and feed them breast milk out of a bottle.

The longest period was a little under seven months when my wife and I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. We tried to spend a night at a hotel once a month or tenting in a town or in a hostel once a week so it wasn't a full seven months camping outside. The longest stretch was probably a couple weeks from the mahoosics to Katahdin in Maine. Good times.
