Answer to:
What are your thoughts on the possible renaming of Wrigley Field?
I'm kind of mixed. The name Wrigley Field has so much history behind it, but even that wasn't the original name of the stadium. Before the 1927 renovation (when Wrigley was one of the controlling owners), it was Cubs Field, and prior to that Weeghman Park (Weeghman was the owner who actually built it).
So, it is a commercial name in a way, but I think two things besides the long...

Your so right; I see that mistake alot. People don't pay attention to there writing anymore. Its really annoying. People should be more careful when their writing.

Should the soldiers have to pay back the bonus?" So, bear in mind my answer may not...

At last the supreme court is challenging the right to bear arms of citizens. This has been long overdue and needs to get attention.Original reasons for carrying arms have changed since the old west and changes needed. What do you think the outcome will be?
I hope it will uphold it. I do not disagree with you as far as the historical context, but that right is still in the constitution, and there is a due process in place to change it. If it is the country's desire to remove that as a protected right, they need to go through the steps to pass a constitutional amendment to change it.
A minor point - the Supreme Court is not challenging...

Are you a good Christian or a bad Christian?
This is an asinine question. It equates to "Are you a good Wiccan or a bad Wiccan?" Like most people, Christians are just mucking through life's mysteries as best they can. Whether or not someone is a good or bad Christian depends on whether or not they are a good or bad (in a Christian paradigm: moral or amoral) person.

There is a specially designed maneuvering unit allows a shuttle astronaut on a space walk to move about using small nitrogen thrusters that are controlled by the astronaut's hands. Based on the law of action and reaction how might the thrusters work?
They would probably fire rockets opposite of the astronauts movement. So if they moved their hand left, a thruster on the right would fire, pushing the astronaut left. This would be a very high-tech piece of gear, designed by smart engineers who probably did their own homework when they were in school.

What can a trundle wheel measure?
Distances; usually distances that are longer than a tape measure will go, but shorter than something like a car odometer. It's basically a wheel that you walk along with and it counts up the distance traveled. Other uses are to set boundaries for sports...

Would you find it rude,if you're talking to somebody and they never make eye contact with you or look at you, while the two of you are talking?
I guess it depends. If they aren't looking because they are paying attention to something else, I would. But if they were just avoiding my eyes I would be more likely to think they were very shy or self-conscious as opposed to rude.

Do you think Don Larson's perfect game in the 1956 World Series was the greatest World Series performance ever? If not, who had a better single World Series game performance?
Since you said "single game", I would have to agree with you. Reggie Jackson's 3 home runs was very impressive, but I would put the perfect game ahead of that.

Game 4 of the Series tonight. Who wants to see the Red Sox take it? I do!!!
Sweeps are kinda boring in my opinion. I'd like the Rockies to show at least a little spunk. Besides, it's always more fun when a team wins the series in their home ballpark.

Is your GPS worth it?
Not sure if this is the type of GPS you mean, but I have a sport GPS for when I exercise. It is fantastic because it works for running, biking, or any other sport involving movement. It is much more reliable than my bike speedometer, I can map out the courses I run and use it to keep myself on pace. Definitely a great training tool.

What's the difference between light-year and parsec?
A parsec is about 3.262 light years.
A light year is the distance light travels in a year. A parsec is the distance a star has to be to have a parallax motion of 1 arc-second.
Parallax is the apparent motion of a nearby star compared with very distant background stars 6 months apart - when the earth is on opposite sides of its orbit. Like when you are driving on a highway, close...

I don't think there is an actual rule, though I may be wrong. It is definitely not 4, though. 4 is the "standard" minimum number of days between starts.
During close series in the playoffs, you will often here people talk about starters pitching again on "3 days rest", which is considered very short.
Occasionally you will also have starters come back and pitch...

Well, if you saw "Day After Tomorrow", you know that global warming turns the atmosphere upside-down. So, then it becomes like a lens, focusing the sunlight like a magnifying glass on an ant and causes fires.

I won't miss him as NYY manager. I'll miss him if he is out of baseball altogether, but I don't expect he will be. Hopefully he ends up at another class organization with lots of history - Cubs, Cardinals, Tigers, etc..

I think Joe's skill of managing the personalities was much more important than his actual baseball skill (which I thought was also quite high). I can't imagine who they could bring in to replace him. I don't think LaRussa has the same skill in managing the personalities, as good a baseball guy as he is.

What year did NFL discontinue use football with stripes
I may be completely wrong, but I'm not sure the NFL ever did use a football with stripes.
I did a search of images for some of the top quarterbacks throughout NFL history (Namath, Staubach, Unitas, Bradshaw, Montana, Aikman, Brady, etc..) and I never saw a striped ball in a game shot. The only striped balls I saw were in posed photos or paintings.
College footballs seemed to be the...

I'm 14 years old now and have been playing baseball for a long time. I've always been a right-handed batter. Is it too late to consider switch-hitting?
If you really want to, it's not too late. While many switch hitters start young, there are some who start much later than you. Ray Durham didn't switch hit until the pros. (But it was very hard for him to learn)
Like many things in life, if you're willing to put in enough work, you will be able to do it.
Tim Kurkjian did an interesting article on switch hitters if...

How is a particular country's currency valued?
Currency rates are determined largely by market forces. The amount of exports and imports of a country is one factor, as well as how the currency is being traded on the foreign exchange market.
Some countries, like China, set the rate artificially and do not allow market forces to determine its currency's value. Until 2005, China fixed its exchange rate at 8.28 renminbi per $1US....

What is upthrust
Upthrust is also called buoyancy. It is the upward force produced on an object in a fluid (such as air or water). The force is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object.
If that weight is greater than the weight of the object, the object will float in the fluid. If it is equal, it will sit suspended. If it is less, it will sink, but the object will weigh less than it...

Why is it called the World Series when only the US plays in it?
Back in the 1880s when the term originated, pro baseball wasn't being played anywhere else in the world, so it was somewhat arguable then. Business promoters were just as willing to stretch the truth then as now!

When did the "dead ball" era in baseball end?
The "dead ball" era ended about 1920, with the emergence of Babe Ruth and a corresponding rapid increase in offense. Take a look at league-leading home runs before and after 1920 (http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/HR_leagues.shtml) and the change is very apparent. Between 1900 and 1920, only three people hit more than 20 home runs, and one was Ruth (29 in 1919).
