It could need degausing. Most newer sets automaticlly degause when you turn them off or on. Check the menu and see if there is a degause function. If not, consider how you are turning it off and on. No it is real. The Earth has gone through several ice ages. Time was when the whole Earth was covered with ice. The most recent ice age had ice caps as far south as central Ohio. That ice is still receding. We did not cause it. We may have contributed slightly. We can't stop it. We may be able to lessen the minimal affect we have. My temp job at the nursing home is over, and my boss wants me to continue on. I'm concerned because every time I came on a shift, it seems someone was finishing a double (I'm a student/can't do that). Is this a bad situation to get into?
Since he wants you to stay he obviously thinks you are a good employee. He wants to keep you on. If that's true, he will understand your commitment to school especially if your education is in the nursing or medical field. If you want to stay on full time, explain to him up front that you are a student first, and work will have to be after school, double shifts are not possible when...

I have had the SUV for just over 26 months and have only put 6900 miles on it. We drive the wifes VUE to do most of our running. It does much better on gas.

What would cause my brake light fuse to blow & make it so you have to use the shift lock override lever to put it in gear? this is on a 2002 toyota tacoma. every time you step on the brake pedal the fuse blows
It has a short in a brake light wire. If it has a trailer hitch on it, the short is probably there, near the hitch in the wiring that goes to the hitch. If it is a factory hitch, there may be a connector that can be unplugged for the trailer lights. Unplug it and see if it blows the fuse. If it doesn't you know where the short is.

The PCV valve is almost always located in one of the rocker covers (valve cover) it has a hose connected to it that goes back over to the intake manifold or the throttle body as it is vacuum operated. The hose should just pull off. It probably does not have a clamp on it. The PCV valve should just pull out of the rocker cover too.

Once in 5th you may not have enough power to pull the high gear at 3rd gear road speed. If the intake kit was made by a reputable manufacturer it should bolt right in with no problems with clearance or emmision regulations. Some systems are a bit more noisy than original. That is, you can hear the air rushing in. Better breathing should mean a slight increase in fuel economy and performance.

Are you comfortable with the concept of;
"Everything happens for a reason!"?
I can already see this going many ways...
Yes, and the reason is because someone causes it to happen. By accident or intentional someone intervenes. if someone did not cause it then it was nature that caused it. There is no high power watching over us to cause us to wreck our car so we can meet that special someone at the body shop. No one to cause us to lose one job so we can be available for a better one.

I am very opinionated. I try to avoid making waves but sometimes I just can't help splashing around a little. I guess its a matter of how we are raised. If I think I am right and someone else is wrong I want to say so. Most of the time, I just let it go.

Stableboy is right. I have seen this method used when one needs to monitor the xfmr temp. Thats a good one. A mattress is pretty tough. I wonder if a carpet cleaning machine would work. Then spray with Fabreeze. Then place an absorbant pad under the sheet. I bet you could get those big blue paper pads the hospital uses if you looked around. I used to have night sweats from time to time. I think they were caused by stress at work.

What is the difference between a Buick 350 8 Cylinder and a Cadillac Northstar 8 cylinder? I'm wondering about gas mileage is why I'm asking
The Cady Northstar has what is called D.O.D. or Displacement On Demand. What it means is that the engines will run on 8 cylinders when it needs power, but at cruising speeds the engine will shut down 4 cylinders and run on 4. Its a fuel saving option. It is possible that the Buick also has this option, but I think all Caddy V8's have it.

I wish it were true. I could take some satisfaction in knowing that those who have wronged me would get whats coming to them. No GWB does not get the credit. The President only delivered the message to the American Public after his staff of advisors worked out a plan. Our men and women in combat and our intelligence agencies get that credit. Unfortunately the President must take the blame for any part of the plan that was ineffective
or turn out to be the wrong move.

I am never on the wrong side. I am however often on the unpopular side. Most people have their minds made up and no amount of reason, logic or references to facts will change that.

14, I think that would depend on her attitude in the morning. If she gets up, gets ready for school on time, let her decide. Should the debate be "not" whether "Global Warming" is real, which evidence strongly suggests, but what are the causes and solutions.. if any?
It is real. The earth was once more than half covered in ice. It began melting before man ever came to be. It is still melting. We may have contributed. We probably can't stop it. But look at all the money some people are making talking about it. How come no one pays us to talk about it?

Answer to:
So why would the US government censor a report on global warming from the CDC? --see answers
I don't think we can stop global warming. We may have contributed but we didn't cause it. The earth was once more than half covered in ice. The ice began melting long before man set foot on earth. It is still melting today. I am not sure we can even slow it down.

If I see fit to answer, I give points right then. If I see other answers that I think are good I give points there too. Sometimes I wish I could give more points.

This could be Kennel Cough. Contact the pound and ask if they have or have had any other cases recently. If it is Kennel Cough it is serious and it will not get better without medication. They probably gave them shots for it. If they had been exposed before the shot, it is even worse. I recommend you see a Vet right away. Well now wait, not so fast. If it is like the Ohio DMV it wouldn't be bad, at least the office I dealt with. All the various offices, driver license and auto tags, auto title and driver testing are in three seperate offices but they are all together in the same little strip mall type setup. One can comunicate with the other and computer systems are compatible. It works quite well.

My 2002 Blazer's oil pressure gage varies considerably from 40 – 80 when I’m driving. Is that normal? Should I be alarmed?
No its okay. When the engine is cold it will show much higher pressure than when at normal operating temp. Once warmed up, at idle the oil pump is turning slower thus producing less pressure. At higher RPM it produces more pressure. 40 psi at idle fully warmed is fine, even less is acceptable.

Clorine bleach will remove the mold/mildew. You can mix it 50/50 with water and spray it with a pump spray bottle. Let it set a few minutes until the mold disappears then rince with plain water. You can buy grout sealer at any home improvement store or larger hardware. Its an easy fix.

After I drive my 77 corvette, I have a strong gas odor from the right rear side of the car. Have no gas leaks. Do I need a new gas tank?? VRM
Probably not. The gas tank has to be vented. Newer cars use an evaporative emmisions control system. Simply put, they pull fumes from the tank into the intake of the engine. Older cars had the fuel tanks vented to the atmosphere. I don't know which the 77 Vette uses. In either case you may have a vent hose that has come loose or deteriorated with time and is leaking fumes. Some older...

If you ask 100 people to read a verse then explain what it means you will get at least 20 different versions of what the verse means. How do we know that the original DIDN'T speak of computers. The guys around you may think you are 'out of their league'. A well placed smile from a pretty girl can go a long way toward easing a young mans shyness.

Gm power windows have a fuse and a relay. I had a '95 pick-up several years ago. This lock up is also governed by road speed and the anount of load on the engine. I think younger people, in their teens, usually stay close to their own age. After 20 maybe 5 or 6 years wouldn't matter. 35 or 40 and up no cut off.

If you and your partner sleep in different rooms, is it because of relationship problems or because you want to get a decent night's sleep?
We did sleep in seperate rooms for a few weeks. She gets up real early, and goes to bed real early. I would bother her when I came to bed, she would bother me when she got up so she went to the spare room. Didn't work! Neither of us liked that plan so we are back in the same bed. We both still get woke up once in a while but sleep better when we're together.

It was a simpler time. Dad went to work, Mom stayed home. A local high school game was the event of the week. The Fire Dept. sponsored dances or a battle of the bands on holiday weekends in summer. All the city police cars cruised the streets on Halloween handing out candy. We had TEEN CENTERS, to provide activities until 9:30 PM two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday.

If the radiator is new and is full of coolant then the overheating problem has to be the water pump, the thermostat or the fan. The computer is shutting it down, but the computers temp sensor may be different than the temp gage sensor. The temp gage could be incorrect too. 220 is not too hot for normal opperation, the computer should not shut it down at that temp. but 235 to 240 is too much. A...

I have an RCA model DRC 8295. It plays VHS and DVD. It also records on DVD and will copy a VHS to DVD. If you have the VHS carrier for your little cassett its easy to do. I think it cost about $160.00 at Wal-Mart. If you do a good bit of that stuff you may want to invest. Mine works quite well with only and occasional glitch. I guess thats true with any of this electronic stuff.

88 chevy ck 4.3 w/tbi. The fuel pump seems as if it runs constantly causing it to flood out at starting and backfire while running. Fuel pump countinues to run at least 5 sec. after ignition is OFF. Is this maybe a relay?
Fuel injection systems need high pressure to function. The pressure is maintained by a pressure sensitive relief valve. The fuel pump runs until the required pressure is achieved and the pressure valve then opens to reroute the excess, unused fuel back to the fuel tank. The pump continues to run, the valve allows the pump to maintain the required pressure, but not to over pressurize the system....

It is what you see but can not touch. Yours is like you but it's not the real you, only an image on a shiny object. Visible to others even though you may not see it. A reflection is like a memory that still can be seen.

I ordered several new Chevy trucks several years ago and at that time, the 3.73 was required with a factory tow package. Is your truck equipped with the factory tow package? My durango won't start. If i turn the key and give it gas, the engine revs, but if I let off the gas it dies right away. any ideas?
Could be many things but I would look for a sizable vacuum leak first. A hose that has come off or a PCV valve stuck open. After that I would suspect the 'Idle Air Solenoid' Its a little electronic valve located on the throttle body that adjusts air flow at idle.
Answer to:
Why is my service engine soon light on in my 1997 pontiac gran prix code is 1441?
DenLors is right. You might also check all hoses associated with the EVAP system. Look for a crack or split where the hose attaches to various fittings. A small vacuum leak will set a code. I just had that same fiasco with a Dodge Durango. Found a small split in a hose from the fuel tank to the EVAP canister. Also make sure the gas cap is on tight. That will set a code too.

Would you vote for a female President?
Yes I would if she stood in the right place on issues that concern me. HOWEVER, I am not sure that this is the right time for a woman president. We are at odds with some very troubling people who have absolutly NO respect for females. I may be wrong(wouldn't be the first time) but I think it would be a mistake right now.
Answer to:
Do you have enough storage or just too much stuff?
I used to have a very large old bookshelf in the garage that had just about any kind of anything that comes in a can or bottle on it. I often looked at it and wondered where all that stuff was before I got that shelf.
Ever hear George Carlins take on that? He says home is where you keep all your stuff while you are out gettin' more stuff.

What is the most effective way to balance a ceiling fan?
I hate thase fans that wiggle! I have some stuff called "Cord Weatherstrip" some call it DUM-DUM. Its a plyable putty like material, available at larger hardware and home stores. It comes in a long coiled strip. I use a clothspin to find where I need weight(trial and error method) I make a little ball of putty and stick it to the top of the fan blade where it needs it.

Yes, when I was a kid, phone numbers were different. Your exchange was expressed with a word. Like BAldwin or AXminster or UNion. You dialed the letters. BAldwin was 22 Axminster was 29 and so on. Go for it if you have the salt. You will never get rich working for someone else. They keep all the money for themselves, you do all the work. Be prepared for long hours. The next step, after your business is established is to hire someone else to run it for you. You know, switch places with the guy you work for now.
Thats the ticket. You just sit back and count your money.

People don't commit suicide because they have a gun. Having guns would have the same effect on suicide rates as owning any other tool. Guns are not made for killing people. Neither are knives or hammers or shovels but either can be misused. You mind is locked onto the device instead of the act or the person commiting the act. I suspect you know why the suicide rate is high in Hungary.

Tilling, or plowing, loosens the soil to be worked. Trouble is it allows soil erosion from wind and rain.

I connected a remote control extender for my 2nd tv using 40ft coax cable. The extender works fine with bright sharp pictures from satellite dish for both TVs. But the 2nd tv has wavy lines on the screen. What could be the problem and how do I fix it.
You are picking up some interference from something on the extension cable itself. If you have it running near anything electrical, try moving the cable away. If you have a little extra cable you can try coiling a portion of it near the 2nd TV. Use tape or zip-ties or something to hold the coil in place. Either or both of these may work, but not slways.

The old green stuff is highly toxic. It tastes and smells sweet so it attracts animals. The new stuff, pink or yellow, is much less toxic, but toxic just the same. Most auto parts stores sell the less toxic kind that mixes with any color antifreeze. Your 2003 probably came with the pink or yellow less toxic kind. My 2002 Dodge Durango has the new stuff.

The dividing line lies just beyond personal hygene. I insist on being seen clean and groomed.(this extends to personal property, my house, lawn, car, etc). After that, political views, religion and such, I don't care what others think.

Why no official investigation has been undertaken of George W. Bush's conduct of presidency, or the "intelligence lies" that led to George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq?
Because all the people who could initiate the investigation were 'in on it'. A president can do very little on his own. He must have approval/agreement/support from many other officials.

Disconnect the battery. Remove the wires from the starter, there are at least 2 of them maybe 3 or 4. Take out the starter bolts, 2 or 3 of them. If there are any shims between the starter and the engine put them back in with the new starter. Reconnect starter wires, reconnect battery.

Who makes a better answerbag answerer? A professional writer who can bring life to the words on the webpage? Or a professional expert who can bring insight and information but perhaps without the same flair?
For me it would depend on the question. Occasionally, a question requires the expertise of a professional, in which case a pro expert might be best. Most times I would rather read answers from just plain ole people.

If the TV you are using has several inputs, I would try a different input. You could be sending too much signal or too little signal to the set. Different inputs require different levels of drive, and some even require a different impedence.

Now, oil is $93. a barrel yet gas is only $2.89 here.

How much does it cost to replace a timing belt on a 1997 nissan altima and is it hard to do?
Its not hard if you know what you are doing. If you don't know, it's something best left to a professional. The timeing belt turns the cam, which opens the valves. If you get it wrong and the valves open at the wrong time the pistons will come up and hit the valves, destroying the engine when you try to start it.

I have a 1993 Ford Ranger and I am trying to bleed the brakes. I can't seem to get the bleeder valves broken loose. Is it possible to bleed the brakes at the brake line connections, assuming I can loosen them?
No, thats not gonna do it. Try some penetrating oil on the bleeder. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes. Heat the bleeder if you have a flame thats hot enough. Try vibration. Tap the caliper near the bleeder. try tapping the bleeder with a plastic screwdriver handle repeatedly. SOFTLY dont beat the crap out of it. Unfortunatley many times those bleeders end up breaking off. A real pain in the butt....

Do you have a daily routine, or do you just go with the flow? I have tried to get a routine going, but once I drop the kids at school the day just gets away from me and anything goes!
No routine. I did the daily routine for years. I am retired now. I may mow grass today. I may go fishing.
I may do both, or neither. I am likely to take a nap and unlikely to make plans for tomorrow. My time is now my own to share as I wish.

Ride the current. Watch for low branches and brace yourself for those big rocks. It will likely be a rough ride. The still water is deep. The shallows are fast moving. Use your lifes experiences to determine which peril you confront. Escape is NOT impossible. Expect to get wet. This too will become a life experience.

What does "Rent to Own" mean?
It means someone is gonna make a lot of money. They rent you something for a few dollars a week. After a certain amount a time you own it. Only problem is you pay for so long that you could have bought 2 or 3 of the things. Best thing to do if you can't pay cash, is a 90 day or 1 year same as cash thing. You have 90 days or 1 year to pay it off before there is any interest charged.

We had to lick envelopes to send mail. We had to look in the newspaper for jobs, houses, personals and classifieds. We had to go to the store to compare two items. We couldn't just bid on them. We had to go get the dictionary or encyclopedia to look something up. We were probably less informed, but we had smaller butts too.

WC requires a "supervisors first Report of Injury" form if a claim is filed. I always did that form even though I may not think the injured was going to seek medical attention or lose time. It was a good record of incidents and CYA. Besides my company required it. It may be law, for any company who's employee's are covered by WC.

Why do people judge an operating system before actually using it? My friends all say "nothing runs on Linux" or "Linux has no drivers" or "Linux is ugly". These are all blatantly false but people still believe them. Why?
People make judgments or have opinions on about anything, or anyone. If these judgments or opinions are based on fact then they may carry some weight. Unfortunatly this is sometimes not the case. Their dislike for something may be based on what they have heard friends say or their one time encounter with a negative fact about the person or thing.

I'm 16 and realised today that i'm destructive at home on purpose because i've never really had the attention i needed when i was younger. I almost feel like any attention is good even though i hate being shouted at. What should i do?
This is nothing new. Many young people act out in order to get attention, even if it is negative. Keep in mind that positive attention lasts longer than negative attention. People tend to remember good rather than bad. Consider the responsibiities of...

If one looks at it as just a piece of rope with a knot tied in it, no. If one sees it as something more, and is offended, then yes. I see many dummies hanged at halloween. I am not offended. Many times those who are offended by this or that are simply looking for a confrontation. They have a particular agenda and see these things as a way to bring attention to their agenda.

Do you prefer to live in a place with four clearly discernable seasons, or do you not care about the changes in colors, temperature, weather, etc? You like it hot/warm all year around, or do you like variety?
I don't like cold. Cold makes my parts hurt. I lived in Ohio from 1955 to 2002. Moved to Florida. I like the weather and the water here but its getting too expensive to stay. May go to S. Carolina. It doesn't get real cold there.

Have you been friends with anyone for a long, long time? How many years? When did you meet?
I met my wife in 1970, my friend Larry in 1963 and my friend Dennis in 1961. This is what happened.
My friend Larry and I went to see Dennis one day in 1968 after he had been in a bad car accident that left him blind. Dennis' wife worked so he had a babysitter for his 3 month old son. That babysitter is now my wife of 34 years.
I still talk to Larry 1 or 2 times a month and Dennis 1 or...

Because they charge too much. Wife had to go to ER. They admitted her for a few tests. She was released 32 hours later. Hospital bill alone was $14,350.00.
That did not include doctors or lab fees which amounted to another $900.00. No insurance.

When a police car is behind you on the road, what goes through your mind?
Officer Carl W. Smith II. When I was a teen driver, I had a close friend (Carl Wayne III)who's dad was a cop in a neighboring community. He would stop me every time he saw me out at night. Ask if we had any beer or women in there, then rip off some one-liner and go on his way laughing. I still think of Wayne and his dad every time I see a cruiser behind me.

A strong 2 or a weak 3 will do it for me. Its not the storm that I run from it is the aftermath. The power will be off for at least 5 days. I have a generator that runs all but the AC, dryer and oven but it will use $30.00 a day in gasoline. So we hit the road about 10 hours before landfall.

I lost a bet to my friend Sarah and now I have to run down my own street at midnight in any way she wants me to. She says I have to ask you guys for suggestions. Can you please go easy on me, I'm very shy!
A red lace thong with a matching old lady style hat would be suitable but you have to be real carefull with this kind of thing.
Oneupsmanship can get real mean. Any way we could talk to Sarah privatly ? :)

Answer to:
Can I run an 11:1 compression Air-Cooled VW engine on 91 octane pump gas?
I would say yes. Depends on ignition timing. Some older V-Dubs had timing set as much as 8 to 12 degrees before TDC. You may have to back the timing off to maybe 6 degrees before TDC if the old girl pings under load.

Starting problem with a 1976 harley superglide
shovelhead. after riding scoot a few miles it
dies out. it will not start, got bright lights,
new battery. won't start, just clicks starter and
cylinoid. no kick start. push starts with no problem.
The solenoid is just a switch. A switch capable of carrying the high current load that the starter draws.
If the solenoid engages when you push the start button but the starter does not turn you probably have burned contacts in the solenoid. HD sells a solenoid rebuild kit, you get a new cap with contacts and nuts, new contact disc and a new spring. You can install the kit without even...

My boat has a 4.3L GM V6 that runs fine for 3-4 minutes, then runs rough for 30 to 40 seconds before dying. Changed the condenser and points in the distributor, also rebuilt the carb. Fuel filter
I would look for water in the fuel, or something blocking the fuel line. Boats can be a real pain. They sit for months sometime, things get funky in the fuel system. You could try running a piece of fuel line from the pump to a can of gas sitting on the deck if it runs, you have a blockage or water.
You may want to check to see that the choke is working. If the choke sticks it would kill the...

When selecting a new outboard motor for my boat what should I look for in a motor? Which brand would you recommend in the 200hp range?
I don't think the brand really matters anymore. One is as good as the next. I have asked dealers and they always recommend something but I have to wonder. Are they recommending the one that they make the most money on? Anyway, I have been on boats with 2 stroke motors. ( engines ) My boat came with a 4 stroke. I really like the 4 stroke. No oil tank, no mess, no fuss. However 2 strokes...

Answer to:
What is the largest rear tire that I can install on a 94 fat boy
I must have missed this Question earlier.
There are many aftermarket kits that allow much larger tires to be installed. They are expensive and very labor intense to install. The problem is the drive belt. Your tire width is limited by the fact that your drive belt runs so close to the tire. Look under there, you can see how close the belt is at the front of the tire. (about 1/4 inch) These...

Whats the year 3000 gonna be like? (assuming there's been no nuclear wars, pessimists)
Funny you should ask. I just received an email from my friend in 3019. Now she was only 4 years old in 3000 but is quite the history buff.
The war you spoke of started 7 December 2041. Yes, it was over oil. Supplies were dwindling so everyone wanted what little was left for themselves. Not to worry. The battle soon absorbed all remaining supplies and the war machine stopped before a lot of...

Years ago, I cut my foot, wading in a stock tank, (pond), craw-dad fishing. My Grandmother told me the next morning, as I was going out bare-footed, that the dew would cause my cut to rot, (infect). Anyone ever heard this before? Old wives tale, perhaps?
My dad would also tell us that if we went out early into the dew covered grass that we would get "dew poisoning." (even though we didn't have cuts on our feet) After looking that up online I see that cattle who stood or waded in wet ground for long periods of time got a skin/hoof disease or fungus that they sometimes called "dew poisoning" or "rain rot"
I...

Answer to:
Where is the pathway of the secondary current in the distributor box of an engine?
I think I know what you mean.
The ignition system has whats called a primary circuit and a secondary circuit. In order to fire the spark plugs you must create high voltage (60,000 or more) to jump the gap on the plug to make the open spark that ignites the air fuel mixture. This is called the secondary circuit, composed of the coil, distributor cap, rotor, and plug wires.
All wiring before...

I've been w/my boyfriend for almost 2 1/2 years. During that time he has battled off & on w/ alcohol abuse (more on). I am head over heels in love with the sober man... he's wonderful, but I can't stand the drunk man. I'm torn & miserable!! What do I do?
I am so sorry. The love for the sober man will give you the strength to support him if he WANTS help.
He must make up his mind to quit. You can't help him if he doesn't want help. Call AA and ask for their suggestions. He is lucky to have you. Lets hope he figures that out before its too late.

Our dog had a piece of popcorn last night. then all she wants to do is lick the carpet ot bite it and pull on it. we took her outside and she ate A LOT of grass. what is happening?
My dogs eat pop corn often with no adverse effect. (big dog)I suspect your dog has gotten it stuck between her teeth. Give her a couple of those dogbone treats. something crunchy to chew on. that usually gets things stuck in dogs teeth out.

Some tuners don't come apart. That is they have tabs bent over to hold the covers on that are meant to be permanant. Check out stewmac.com they have about any guitar or fretted instrument part you want.
Brand new tuners would be nice !

On Average, how much is a morning after pill at a pharmacy (like CVS) , without prescription?
I don't know what the pill costs. I have raised a daughter from birth until she went off on her own when she was 20 years old. I know what that costs !( and she and the experience is worth every penny )
I would guess that the pill would be about one millionth of the cost of raising a child.
I bet if you called CVS they would tell you.

Has anyone else had an encounter with an animal in the woods that the local Fish and Game unit insists is "Imaginary"... Like the wolves they "Didn't release"....or the Black Puma's that "couldn't exist"...?
Yes, my Mom lives in eastern Kentucky. Her friends called the wildlife authorities because something that they thought to be a large cat, such as a couger, was stalking their colt and keeping the other horses in a terror. They showed the authorities the animals tracks and told them they had just caught glimpses of this animal. The authority told them there were no big cats in Kentucky, but DO...

I have a young dwarf lemon tree. It's not quite 2 years old. I live in North Carolina and the tree lives in front of a sliding glass door with plenty of light. The surrounding plants are all healthy and happy, but my little tree looks awfu
I live in South Florida. My little lemon tree is outdoors. It looks real good, is about 5 feet tall but has only produced 3 lemons and that was a couple years ago. Now an indoor tree, I would guess it doesn't have enough root space. I am told that trees have more roots than branches. Put it in as big a pot as you can.
Use some fresh soil and if the roots have all grown into a tight...

What would be the cause of the fuel pump only pumping once on my 86 Honda Shadow 700C? Is taht normal or should it pump continuous with the key on?
A fuel injected motorcycle has a high pressure, regulated fuel pump. It will pump until the pre-set pressure is achieved and then cut out.( some simply reroute fuel back to the tank) Working properly, it will come back on as the fuel is used and maintain proper pressure to fire the injectors. When you just turn the key on without starting the engine, it is reaching max pressure and either...

When talking in confidence regarding abuse, who is required by law to report abuse?
If you are being abused, or you know of someone who is being abused, YOU should report it.
Now I am no expert, but I would think, that any councelor, medical personnel, law enforcement, teacher, school official or anyone working in such positions would be required by law to report abuse. However, laws may vary by state and peoples response may differ when the abused is an adult as opposed...

What's the worst storm you've been in?
Hurricanes Francis and Jeanne back in 2004. They both made land fall at Stuart Florida, 30 miles south of me.
We were in the northern eye wall for 10 to 15 hours.
No electricity for 7 days after Frances, 5 days after Jeanne.
I was also in the 1978 blizzard in Ohio. 4 feet of snow, 12 foot drifts and below zero temps. It would be hard to say which was worse.

Global Warming...What do you think? Human caused or just another earth cycle?
A few million years ago, half the northern hemisphere was covered in an ice cap. The ice receeded and continues to receed today. We may have contributed slightly but I doubt there is anything we could do to reverse the process or even slow it down.

'94 Ranger with Duralast starter. Developed a high pitch whining noise on start up. Removed the starter and had it tested and it tested good. I put it back in and it was fine for 2 weeks and now it making that noise again. Any ideas?
Some engine/starter combinations require shims to properly space the starters pinion gear as it engages the ring gear on the flywheel or flex plate.
The high pitched whine sound is likely due to the pinion gear being too deep into the ring gear. Check with your parts supply to see if shims are available/required.

Do you remember when milk was delivered to your door?
Yes I do! Came everyday. On Fridays Mom would let us get a half gallon of Orange Drink from the milkman. It was lightly carbonated and tasted like Nehi Orange.
We had a small neighborhood grocery where you handed the owner your list and he went and got what you wanted, asked cash or tab, then rang you out, and gave you Tax Stamps.

Repairs on a 1996 olds ninety eight
- when driving heat is hot but when i stop for a liht it goes cold when i start driving gets hot again.
- how hard is it to change the struts
No heat at stop light --- You probably need to add coolant to the radiator. Do not remove the cap when engine is hot.
Changing struts is not hard if you know what you are doing. It can be dangerous if you do not know what you are doing. Best left to a pro if you are unsure of you ability. If your struts are worn out, new struts will make a world of difference in handling.
