Answer to:
Is it wrong not to neuter my dog yet because I want him to breed once?
I just have to chime in that backyard breeding is one of the absolute biggest contributors to animals being abandoned. Breeding is a HUGE responsibility. You have to be willing to care for the puppies as others have mentioned (unless the mother is from another home, in which case you work details out with them).
BUT
There's also simply being a responsible breeder. (Yes, even if you only do...

What's a good website for vegetarian meals? Salads are great, but I would like actual recipes.
I've found this site
peasandthankyou.com
has a lot of great recipes despite being a blog. It's a cute way to find them, too. The whole family's vegetarian, and the wife is a vegan. Happy searching! :)

Answer to:
What are the dawbacks to being a vegan?
I haven't found any yet.
I was a long-term vegetarian before I transitioned to veganism, and thought I would miss cheese desperately. When I went without dairy, I felt much better.
Truthfully, something made to sustain a cow should not be used to supplement a human diet.
Answer to:
Is it cow milk, soy milk, rice milk or almond milk for you?

I think you mean does soy milk have harmful effects?
No, it doesn't.
But there's also rice milk, and my personal favorite, almond milk. If you do try almond milk, Blue Diamond has the best flavor (well, in my opinion, anyway). It's also cheaper than Silk.

Since this is in the LGBT section, I would have to say no- bisexual men and gay men (as well as straight women) may be attracted to a man with a large penis. Lesbians would not be.

Although it is demographically, is the United States a Christian nation? Should it be?
Seperation of church and state- if we were about religion, we wouldn't have built this country without that building block.
We can take important morals and values that we as Americans hold dear and not make them about religion.

Answer to:
Do atheists celebrate Christmas and other religious festivals? Even when they dont believe in God?
While not an atheist, I'm not a Christian. Yes, I celebrate Christmas- it's a tradition for me, and I think the premise of giving without a thought of receiving brings us all a little closer. The problem is that because it's so commercialized, it's harder to think on those terms.

You said it yourself- you JUST got out of a relationship. If you're ready to get back out there and date, then do so knowing you don't have to jump in any LTRs. If you're not ready for that, go on "dates" with your friends until you are.

"Curvy," in my opinion, is the sexiest bodyshape a woman can have. Some people are attracted solely to the rail thin types, some what is considered average, and some pick out the biggest of the bunch. Anyway, these are my ideas of thin and curvy.

I commend you for allowing your son to seek his own path, particularly because of his tender age.

Are there any good reasons to keep pictures of your ex? If so, what are they?
I have pictures (that were worked into scrapbooks prior to me ever meeting my husband) of people who have been long in my past. I keep them around because when I see a picture of me with someone, it reminds me of all the adventures I had within the time period of knowing that person, and the people I met in that same period.

Would you consider having your ashes spread at a special place?
Um... No, I don't think so. I'm very uneased with the idea of cremation. Not sure why- I am an organ donor, and would rather be disected and have my unused body part spread over the Atlantic or something. Perhaps in a past life, I expired in a fire. :)

I think you're sorely mistaken. There's plenty of prejudice surrounding the Islamic faith. There are a few intelligent people who believe in treating people fairly and not based on their religious affiliation.

A. Wow! This is a very exciting time at your house!!!! Depending on the species, and the temperatures, the ladybug larva can hatch out of the egg in 4-10 days. When the larva hatch out, they are so incredibly small,...

You focus on your sobriety.
One of the greatest challenges in becoming sober is removing the toxic relationships from your life. It's a lot harder when those relationships have familial ties.
Realize the strength you have within you! You took control of your addiction! Too many times, people are lost in it, and never find a way out (except by death).
Surround yourself with people...

Is it cheating if a married man has lunch with another woman? (He can't mention it to his wife because she will over-react and make untrue assumptions)

In your own personal opinion, should a 14 year old be made to keep their bedroom clean or should they be allowed to leave it messy if they choose because their room is their own space?
PERSONALLY, I think it needs to be kept reasonably clean. (I wouldn't complain about clutter.) I've known a few teen rooms that you literally can't walk in because they're covered in clothes, magazines, or whatever else. The problem with that is that it is a SAFETY HAZARD- not just for a potential fall, but God forbid there were a fire- not only could you risk faster spread,...

My 15 year old daughter has unexplained passing out/syncope spells. She has little or no advance notice of these spells and all of her vitals remain good before, during and after the episode. These spells last from 3 minutes to 1 hour. HELP!!!
There are a number of reasons for syncope, but I wouldn't trust her vitals remain unscathed during these episodes.
You need to deal with this with her doctor. If you don't get answers from him/her, you need to find another one. Teaching hospitals are great places to turn if you can't find a PCP or specialist who can find the cause.

I think it has a lot to do with body image. Kids and teens often strive to be like their favorite hollywood star, and the seed gets planted that they aren't good enough (too fat, breasts are too small, not enough muscle tone). Many people carry that with them into young adulthood, and many times beyond.

College stress!!! I'm in my first year &was doing well untill Xmas when there was a family crisis which caused STRESS, after that I got behind on homework. Now they won't say if they'll let me back next year due to lack of commitment. I'm distraught :-(
I would try to set up a meeting with the dean, or a counselor and let them know everything that had gone on. I would say it's probably your best shot to going back next year. Good luck.

I know the urge to self diagnose can be tremendous- but it only leads to you being convinced of a condition that your doctor knows is not the cause... Ending in both of you being frustrated.
It is a far better idea to ask your doctor questions. If he/she isn't answering them to your satisfaction, seek out another opinion.

Extremely. I believe when you bring an animal into your household you commit yourself to their welbeing as much as you would for a child you bring into your home. Do you think the world would be a better place if people learned to like themselves a little more? I see a lot of vaguely disguised 'self-hatred' in some of the answers on here....a lot of people who feel powerless....when power is really nothing.
In a sense, perhaps. People who hold themselves in high esteem are more prone to being "successful." (Definition varies.) Successful people have a greater impact on the world, whether it be finding a cure for an obscure disease, or smiling to the social outcast in the supermarket just to let them know they aren't unnoticed.
Power does matter to me. I know I have no power over...

For a period of time, yes. The United States isn't entirely ready for gays. I'm guessing their right to marriage will be shot down hugely, although some states will still allow it. Eventually, (and very slowly) other states will come around, and gays will have civil equality. It's a long fight and it's only the beginning so sit patiently- it will come.

If it's really different, he'll hold on until you're ready to get married. 3 months is perfectly possible (I married my husband very quickly), but I would tread lightly with his marital history in mind. Date until you are 100% sure it will work in the end. Move in with him if you like, to give it a trial run... Just don't rush your nuptials!

Talk to them. If they get mad, there's nothing you can do about that. (You can also stage an intervention with his/her friends and family.) If you stand by and pretend it doesn't matter, you certainly aren't doing a favor to them. If they write you off, hopefully you'll start them in the direction of thinking about their actions when they drink, and perhaps they will seek help.

How do you tell someone that thinks they sound amazing when they're singing, that they sound really horrible? BTW- I only want to do this for my friends own good. Don't want her to be embarrassed like all those people during the first few shows of Idol.
If she were my friend, I wouldn't. It's not like she's wearing a dress that makes her look pregnant that takes a quick wardrobe change. This sounds like something she loves doing. I think it's more important to let your friends know that you believe in them. She will learn that people don't hear her singing as she hears it, so there's no need for you to be the...

Only you can answer that. If you do, please be safe. Meet in public, in busy areas a few times before you go any further. Tell your friends where you'll be, a rough time you should be home, and all of his contact info, including license plate if you can. If your ex cheats on you and leaves you for his mistress, shouldn't he leave all together and not keep comming back into the house we used to share, all hours of the night to sleep on my sofa bang around and wake me up? Am I wrong for being mad?
He keeps coming back because you allow it. Speak to him sometime when he has not been drinking, and not when he's banging on the door. Tell him he chose to leave, and he needs to follow through. It's not good for the kids to be around that, so think of THEM. If there's a pattern to his middle-of-the-night episodes, I suggest you get the kids out of the house when you suspect...

Prior to taking our dog to new vet. clinic for med. tests we researched it and saw the very opposite people's opinions about a clinic on the message board. How is it possible for one to say "horrible" & for other to say "awesome" about same clinic?
Prices, the amount of time they book out for appointments, the wait time... Someone may have wanted the vet to do something the vet found to be completely unneccessary, or the vet may have thought something were important for diagnosis, and because it was inconclusive the doggy parent thought they were just out for the cash. It could be any number of things.

Have you ever had a doctor, as an adult, who actually cared more about you than the money he was making from you? One that would do what MUST be done for your health even if he/she may never get paid? Where did those days go?
My doctor now. He does it because he loves it, not for any other reason.
I walked in one time with bloodwork from another doctor, and just wanted him to be aware I had a problem. The nurse let him know, and he asked me to come back, between patients, to discuss options. He never charged me for the visit.

I think it's happening, but not to the extent that it's blown up to. It's happened in the past, afterall. And I'm sure that if everyone "went green" today, that it would still continue.

I recently saw another baby boy with pierced ears and am now thinking of piercing James (aged 1) ears with small diamond studs. I have made an appointment for monday for him! I think he'll look great but just wondered if anyone else has done this?
I would NEVER. I wouldn't put earrings on a boy unless he told me he wanted them. (What if he doesn't?) And I wouldn't do it so young, for a boy or a girl. Of course, I wouldn't alter my child in any way that wasn't medically necessary.

Does marriage even mean anything to any one any more? It hurts me to see that so many people get divorced with out even trying to work things out. I am only 20 but i see marriage as FOREVER and you should work at it, whats your opinion?
I also see marriage as a forever deal. The divorce rates are killer for sure, which is why I can't figure out why people say that same-sex marriage would be a threat to traditional marriage... Us married heterosexual couples are doing a pretty good job of screwing it up on our own.

Do you think it is tacky to buy a pack of pampers for a baby shower gift as opposed to getting the mom to be a gift basket with several items in it?
Absolutely not. I've given diapers as gifts many times, but will also include something else. (And I try to buy what could be a couple months' supply.) Every recipient has told me they appreciated it so much, as it helped them to adjust to the cost of a new baby. Repeat mommies are equally thrilled, because they're anticipating the cost.

Yes, but only because it's so unexpected. I'm sure the secret service laughed, too.

Yes, I think so. I think it's important, because otherwise the poor parents will be faced with either other expenses, and will end up on government funding anyway, or their children will be institutionalized, and will end up on government funding anyway. Reform could be an option.

Depends on how serious you are. If you see yourself with her for a long time, then it's a good option. It was always in my basement, or in an unused closet. The slim coat closet when you walk in the door is fine, and you can just keep your coats in your bedroom closet.

Do you think Obama is scared to be nominated for fear of assassination and will they have to beaf up the secret service to prevent it?
He's already nominated. But I don't think he's fearful of becoming president, no. Or he wouldn't be running. They always amp up secret service when a candidate becomes president, so if he wins the election, yes, they will.
Answer to:
Why do women go to the doctor more often?
I believe that it's because men in our society think they're "supposed to take it like a man," and not complain.
Women are more likely to seek attention, because there's no stigma surrounding how they should handle pain.
That being said, a lot of men put themselves in much more threatening positions as a result.

I think so. But I don't know that I would be able to do much in public with them, provided they were odiferous. Then again, I'm the type of friend who will tell you that you stink, and they likely would be in the shower before we went anywhere anyway. :)

Guys: I have been told I look really attractive and mature. What I am really wondering is, why do guys always flirt with the slutty girl who acts immature, and ignore me? I am always sweet to both boys and girls, so why? I feel so upset over this.

What is your best excuse to get out of a speeding ticket?
I've never used an excuse. However, I used to bring coffee to the local PD a few years back.
There was one day, I ran a yellow-turning-red stop light, with a broken muffler and an expired inspection stiker. (I konw, I was young and dumb.) Anyways, the cop that was sitting across the way pulled me over. I handed him my paperwork, and he walked about halfway to his cruiser before he...

Being a woman, I don't have an issue with it. I sure as hell know I have equal rights with men, but I enjoy taking on a traditional role. I always serve every man that is in my house... Hubby, hubby's friends, my brother, cousin, whatever. It makes ME happy. Maybe it makes her happy too?

Although I haven't needed to wear them recently, (Last time was when I lived in Alaska's rainforest), I have always worn pants under them. That way, you take it off and you look like you want to. I suppose you COULD wear them (afterall, you could wear a diaper in public- no one would stop you) but I think it's probably more comfotable to wear pants underneath.

Religion in and of itself has imposed morals on its followers. In that sense, it's helped. (God knows we're lacking, no pun intended!) On the other hand, I think it leaves a lot of people more narrowminded than I like to see. In that sense it's hurt.

I wouldn't worry too much. Although we have a lot of illegal resident Mexicans in our country, Mexico is not high on the list of countries to be alarmed by. I'm surprised you didn't marry her when she was here, and petition for her. Although marriage isn't a guarantee to a greencard, the fact that you two have a child together would have likely put her into legal status.

I'm often humiliated, but can't really say anything. (How do you tell someoen they eat like an animal, and allow their kid to behave like one?)
