| About me: | Konnichi wa, mina-san! My name isn't really Shiranami Michie, but let's pretend it is, because that makes me happy. (I actually just changed it from Yoshizawa to Shiranami, but that's a story for another time.) ^_^ I'm a young adult who's very much a kid at heart (Hello Kitty is my favorite thing EVER). I'm very into Japanese language, music and culture, and I watch a lot of anime- but only subtitled. Dubs scare me. I also very much like cuteness in general. I've just started trying to learn Mandarin, too, so I'll have something to say to my boyfriend's parents. Sometimes I think I'm *trying* to explode my brain. I read Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Amy Tan and Sailor Moon, Death Note, and Crayon Shin-chan manga. I listen to JPop, JRock, showtunes, contemporary a cappella, and Nine Inch Nails. I play flute, piano and bass guitar. I also sing compulsively and am trying to start a contemporary a cappella group. (If you're curious as to what I sound like, check my URL- I'm linking to my YouTube channel. Just be aware that my home equipment is TERRIBLE and I do the recording in my bedroom all by my onesies.) I have two younger sisters (by two years and ten years) of whom I am inordinately proud. I love them both immensely. I have two other "younger sisters" who aren't actually related to me, but I 'adopted' them and I love them so they may as well be! I'm also friendly and I like to talk. A LOT. ^_^ I'm bisexual, biracial, and bipolar (my favorite joke- and all true!) and I don't take crap from people for the way I was born. I love humankind in general, and if I'm going to hate people I do it on an individual basis. Hope to meet neat people here, to get help and to give help, and to have a good time. Douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu! |
