What's the point in saying a question is a duplicate in an answer? Why can't you just mark the question as a duplicate and leave it at that? If someone doesn't want to be told they have repeated a question, they should be more careful, and make sure it has not been asked before. Even with the buggy search engine on here, I still have managed to only have 19 questions rejected as duplicate over the years, out of 588 total questions asked. If I managed to keep my duplicate percentage so low, there is no reason others cannot as well.

I grew up in a "toughie" family; meaning, we DIDN'T "cry" on one another's shoulders and we DIDN'T go to each other for answers to problems. It made me strong, self-reliant, confident, and unwavering. Is that good? Or is being "babied" better? I think either extreme is harmful. The best way, in my opinion, is a healthy medium between "toughie" and "babied". One would be strong enough to make it on their own, but able to understand and relate to the emotions/moods of others. This would also make one a great parent, as they could be both tough, and nurturing, as the situation dictates.

Do you get annoyed by or feel sorry for the people so insecure they feel the need to get attention via answerbag? I feel sorry for them. For about 2 seconds. Then I realize that it would be much more fun to screw with them, and point out how sad it is that they are seeking attention on a website.
