Simple carbs can sabotage raise your blood sugar, causing spikes in insulin and increased hunger...resulting in weight gain. You may need to increase the fiber in your diet too, try adding fresh vegetables and eat a small salad every day.

When you are preparing meat to cook, do you remove some, all or none of the fat? I generally don't trim the fat unless there is an excessive amount. A good butcher will do that for you. A certain amount of fat adds flavor.

Spray is instant but doesn't last long and can be overwhelming. On Jeopardy, I heard that that "OK" originated from a spelling error for "All Correct." How's that? I don't see how it could have led to OK. It does stand for All Correct. Interestingly I just saw a story about this on Sunday Morning. Maybe the person who has achieved something should be congratulated directly, or congratulatory 'questions', shouldn't be able to earn points. I tend to agree with you and I like your concept of congratulatory questions not earning points because I don't see how they add any value to readers who are seeking "answers" but that said, I also don't see a practical way for that to ever be enacted. My gf says it was disrespectful of me to talk to her friend(a girl) on myspace more than I talk to her. I'd be annoyed too if she talked to some guy more than me but, disrespectful? Maryland has such diversity of outdoor environments and experiences all four seasons. There are urban areas and very rural areas. There are mountains and rivers and coastline. Fall and Spring are unimaginably beautiful, most winters bring a moderate amount of snow but nothing overwhelming and the summers are hot and humid so if you like diversity...it's an excellent choice.

I am making a cake and do not have any "vanilla". Is there something that can be substituted or will it affect the taste if I go ahead and bake it w/o vanilla?
