| About me: | The new personal philosophy for the time being: Stoicism I must remain stoic through all adversities; be the one who acts calmly and maturely in such situations. Please bring back the following: A Category Suggestions page! This very important feature was around some time ago, and has now gone missing. No one has explained why. Suggested new Features to add: 1. After level 10, please increase the time allotment to edit a question and comment by one minute every two levels. (Therefore, a level 60 has 30 minutes to edit these.) 2. After level 40, increase the time allotment to ask a question by one question per hour every two levels. (Therefore, a level 80 is entitled to ask up to 40 questions an hour, or 10 questions every 15 minutes.) 3. A mobile-friendly version of Answerbag! (like http://m.answerbag.com ) (Google has a mobile-friendly version of itself here: http://m.google.com ) We can safely extrapolate that a mobile-friendly version of Answerbag is quite easy to program! 4. Amazon's Askville (http://Askville.Amazon.com) had a currency system that we earned for making good contributions. Enough of that currency could buy us advantages on their sub-site, and even go towards charging up gift cards to purchase real items on Amazon.com! If only Answerbag could do the same! 5. Amazon's Askville (http://Askville.Amazon.com) does not reveal the answer submitter until AFTER a rating is given to them. They therefore discourage trolling. I believe the same goes for the question submitter when coming from the other way around. Why shouldn't Answerbag have this?! Current site Glitches to fix: 1. The following happens after I submit 5 questions in under 15 minutes: If I need to go back and edit to correct an error to a question, and attempt to submit the correction, it will NOT go through because the system thinks I'm submitting a new question! Therefore, it'll tell me the question limit has been reached while I'm merely only trying to edit a pre-existing question! 2. The "Unanswered Questions" page only shows up to ~5510 pages while there are in fact about ~5582. Believe it or not, we still have questions that haven't been answered since 2003! See Look how far back that goes.. I heard that the Answerbag application for Facebook does NOT allow us to edit our submissions, though the main website does. (Questions: 5 minutes, Answers: Anytime) 3. When I type a word to find a question, but that word is in quotes, the search won't find it unless I INCLUDE quotes. The search feature ought to be smarter than that. 9-4-2008: I am now part of the "Starfleet Crew" here on AB. My specialty is Research & Development, so now I have been placed in Engineering. I'll be sure to enjoy my yellow turtleneck! (I wonder what a green one would be used for...) A question that requires deep thoughts: --->"Why can't life be perfect?" |
