I'm not gay and I've never been asked that question...But I would take a stab in the dark and guess that people are just curious to know. Homosexuality in our society is still a little confusing. As long as they aren't meaning it in a disrespectful way, try not to take it personally.

There are plastic caps made for kitty claws, to keep them from scratching up furniture etc...try going to the local pet store or vet office and ask for something similar. (I hear they work very well, with no uncomfort for the animal)

Culture is different then your nationality, you could say your nationality is African, but you lean more toward Asian culture. It is possible to combine cultures, that is what makes each of us unique. :)

Most of the time the animal is killed for the fur only, and most leather comes from farming cows that will be someone's meatloaf later that evening. People think differently if the entire animal is utilized.
