mmoul@gosps.com
Priming is just adding a base coat of paint (special paint, but in theory it's similar). If your walls are damaged, fix them with spackle or joint compound, sand, clean and then prime or just paint. The advantage of primer is that the paint color is truer and lasts longer.

I, , applied for a loan from Infinity Group. In the process, I was told that everything as far as financing looked good. I meet with my realtor and gave a $500.00 earnest money deposit. The finance company was getting a Good Faith Docu
Um earnest money is standard practice, done with every home sale in the US. This is hardly a scam.
However, I agree that you should contact the bank and stop payment on the check. All earnest monies, if the financing falls through, MUST be returned.

Humping has nothing to do with "love" it is a sign of dominance. As for the licking, cats do that, as do dogs with their puppies. This isn't love, it's a dog acting like a dog.

My girlfriend is pals with a convicted serial rapist(she matches the type). I told her about his past but she just won't listen. At most she says he's done his time and that I should move on. How do I get her to stop bringing him over to hang out?
It's your house and you have the right to invite whomever you choose. You also have the right not to let someone in. Tell her, in very clear terms, that while you are still friends, her "pal" is not welcome in your home at any time. Period. If she brings him over, ask them to leave. If they don't, call the police.

Can a street address number be 6 digits long in the US? For example, could you have an address like 107980 Elm Street? Or is the limit 5 digits?
Only local (as in city) jurisdictions determine the length and way of numbering street addresses. There is no national legal limit as to how long the address must or mustn't be; that is set forth by the city itself.

I think it's the easy/lazy way out. The results, if there are any, will coincide with the effort put in. Do you own spells/charge your own candles and reap the rewards. It's a case of 'you get what you pay for' in a way.

I live in La. My home is in foreclosure & will go to auction next month. What are my homeowner's rights, i.e., after home is sold, how soon do I have to be out of the home? How soon do I get any money owed me? Please provide reference links.
If your home is in foreclosure, you will get no money. The bank/mortgage holder gets the proceeds of the auction.
As for how long you have until you must vacate, that's a local thing, so check with your local sheriff; they are the ones that will 'evict' you.

Do NOT drop any charges. period. A "proposal" for divorce and custody not prepared by a lawyer isn't worth the paper it's written on. HE's the one who allegedly committed assault, you aren't threatening him with anything.
Go to your lawyer, have your lawyer draw up legal divorce papers which include whatever custody you see fit. But again, NEVER drop those...

Actually, no, but it wouldn't be considered traditional Wicca. You can practice an eclectic 'version' such as Dianic or goddess-based faith. I dont see any harm come to none who wish not to.
It's not vital to do anything. That's the beauty of Wicca and the neo-Pagan religions. You are FREE to do what you choose. Celebrate as you wish or can. It's that simple.

Not disrespecting the religion or nothing, but if i did do spells as such on my own, im scared incase that if I do do it I will feel like a prat. just because sitting on your own doing a spell which youve never done i may burst out laughing. im worried.
How can you feel silly if you are alone? :-/ And why worry? Do what you feel... forcing yourself to do anything is not what Wicca is about.

My son is bi-polar (along with another mental illness). While on medication, he is fine; perfectly 'normal.' Off meds...not a pretty picture.
There is nothing unhealthy about living with someone who is bi-polar... it just takes a lot of patience and understanding. It really depends on how strong the relationship is.

Is American policing true as depicted in some films - felons can drive across a State boundary and be safe from officers who had been pursuing them?
Felons are allowed to cross state lines, unless they are on parole/probation which does not allow them to do so. If that is the case, they legally are supposed to ask permission and tell their parole/probation officer where they are going. Otherwise, they are free to move about the country at will.
For anyone 'wanted' by the police... as in a criminal who is a SUSPECTED felon,...

I have tried for the last week to get along with my bf's dog that just got back after 2 years, but he is terrible! He has no manners at all: whines constantly, digs up the yard, won't listen to anything! What do I do? I didn't want him & don't like him!
The key is here: "just got back after 2 years"
This dog is confused and has no idea who the 'boss' is. He needs to be trained as if he were a puppy. Dogs require work... and this one is no exception.
Try to understand from his point of view - he doesn't know you at all; why should he listen? Patience and and open mind will work. Frustration and pouting...

When is it appropriate to start telling my son who is 2 about my mom, who past in 2003? the reason is because he talks to her spirit. I have a picture of her sitting on my dresser and he pointed to it and said grandma chris. I have never mentioned her.
You can start now... keeping it real simple at first. Just telling him that his is correct about it being his grandma is a start.
You can judge what to tell him by any questions he may have. He doesn't need to know everything right now & probably wouldn't understand death at this point, but keeping the lines of communication open, even at the age of 2 is important.

Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with a family member that wont take help from you but needs it? he would rather spend time and money on his friends than spend time with his family.
There is nothing you can do to force anyone to act the way your want or do what you want them to do. All you can do is keep making suggestions or requests.
It's similar to an alcoholic in terms of the fact that you can't force anyone to get help - they have to choose to seek help.
At a certain age, the friends all seem more important. This will pass for most people. Just keep...

When refinancing a mortgage has anyone ever heard of a one time escrow fee charged? Not title company escrow. I pay my own property taxes instead of letting the lender escrow them. They want to charge me $900 for this. seems fishy to me. ANyone?
No... they aren't allowed to do anything of the kind, and if they are giving you wiring instructions, run the other way. A co-worker and I were just talking about this yesterday. Seems the account they wanted the money wired to was a personal account.
Find a different mortgage broker, this one is not on the up-and-up.

NHS please. I have some friends in the UK and have asked a few about their system, how it works, etc. It seems to be a much better way of doing things than having insurance companies control everything from pricing to your care. It shouldn't be up to the insurance company to tell you when you need to check out of the hospital - that's what you have doctors for.

These items are your property. It can be written into the contract that the appliances stay - it does not have to be so. If you want your convection range and microwave, take them. Your realtor has no right to tell you you can't take your own property with you. Your realtor can recommend that they stay, to add value to the property, that's all.

I am renting my first apartment. They offered me the first 2 months free, but i don't have to fill out an application or credit check, and they said hand them $1050.00, and they will hand me the keys and i can move in next month. is this a scam?
Not a scam necessarily, but not good business practice. Never rent without a lease - it protects you legally. Never pay in cash...ever. Pay either with a personal check or money order and get a receipt even if you pay with a check.
My advice... find a different apartment.

What makes Wicca good and Paganism bad?
Nothing since your statement is completely incorrect.
By definition, paganism is:
a person who does not acknowledge your god; a person who follows a polytheistic or pre-Christian religion (not a Christian or Muslim or Jew)
Wiccans, therefore, are pagans.

What makes a person a Wiccan?
Simple answer - choice.
More detailed, but still simple answer - your choice to follow the Wiccan ways after much research.
It's no different than being a member of any other religion - you find the path (or the path finds you) that fits you best.
Answer to:
Do Wiccans have a "Devil" or is it just God and Goddess?
Wiccans in general do not believe the "the devil" since that is a Christian belief. Wiccans believe that all beings contain 'good' and 'evil' aspects but there isn't one deity that is all 'evil' comparable to the Christian 'devil.'

No, the radiation is in the form of pin-pointed low dosage that is aimed to kill only those cells affected by cancer. Chemo is nothing more than a HUGE amount of certain drugs pumped into the affected person's body.

Hardly. They comp everything to those who gamble and lose (or win) big. The everyday gambler who loses is still considered a valued customer, and each casino fights to keep each person coming back.

It could be related to sugar, but also to some other common ingredient in these products. They are all baked goods...I'd compare labels and ingredients and find the common denominator(s). That's probably a good place to start. Good luck!

If AB is about helping people, why do some users despise homework questions being posted by kids? SOME of their questions are VALID.
I have no problem helping as long as it is posted as a homework question, not in some category like science or whatever. I also take great issue with people who post a question straight out of a textbook and expect you to provide the answer. Not gonna happen. I will HELP, but will not do it for them. They aren't going to learn anything by having people do the work/research for them.

No - your server was just lazy. Biscuits, etc., should have been brought and placed by the person ordering dinner. Had she told me that, I would have nicely pointed out that I ordered dinner, which comes with biscuits and muffins.

My live in girlfriend used to buy me gifts with her credit card. We broke up three years ago and now she sent me a letter stating that I need to pay off the card or she'll file a police report. Am I in trouble or is she crazy?
She may not be crazy, but she sure is delusional and has no idea what the law can and cannot do. You are not, in any way, responsible for her credit card debt. Tell her to file away, and in turn you will sue her for time lost from work and for defamation of character. :-D
Answer to:
My HOA wants to make a rule that children can not play out side in the HOA street without adult supervision. Can you legally have such a law?
It is not a "law," it is a regulation. And yes, they can pass and enforce it. Reasons stated by others are all valid. The streets are for cars, not children.

I am selling my home and have had it listed since July 2007, I realize the market has cooled substancially, but my agent doesnt seem to be motivated to try and sell my home, can I change agents? What would te reprocussion be?
I agree with Big Boo. Most contracts with a real estate agent are for a specific period of time, i.e., 3 months or 6 months. Check your contract. You can give your agent one 'warning,' to be fair and let him/her know that you will be seeking representation elsewhere is he/she doesn't show some effort in trying to sell your home.

percentage of members does it take too recall a sitting board and reelect a new one
A 'sitting board' of what? If it a home owners association, the percentage to abolish, overthrow, etc., is listed within the CCRs. If it's something else, I can't say without knowing the board of what.
Answer to:
Whose being selfish? My daughter doesn't want the guy I'm dating over after she goes to sleep, which is very early for me. She said she doesn't know him well enough to know that he won't hurt me but I'll only be able to see him about 1 hour a day?
As Highlander stated, talk to her and explain that you will be dating and that you hope she can understand. Then leave it at that. You are the parent. You are the adult. You set the rules of the home, not your daughter. She is simply jealous because you 'gave up dating' years ago. You have a right to a life.

Yes. If you are a single working mother, you barely have time for yourself. Sorry, it's not prioritizing in all cases - it's called survival.

Why do so many parents have a tendency towards fascist parenting? Is open child/parent communication so difficult to achieve?
Because it's difficult to communicate with a child in the throws of a tantrum; or one who is too young; or one that will not listen. My children have always known that they can come to me with any problem and talk about anything. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. But my parenting remains consistent whether they choose to communicate or not.

Chances are, the person won't get in trouble, but it really depends on the people and content involved.
Just because it was an error doesn't mean the person won't 'get in trouble,' depending on the content and who it was sent to accidentally. Apology is fine, but does not correct the issue. There is nothing illegal here, but that wasn't your question.

A guy at my work keeps trying to get me to go out with him. He knows i'm in a lovin relationship and I dont even flirt back, he barges into my office and tries to suprise me by grabbing me from my waist! I ignore his emails! why dont he just back off?
He will back off after you report him for sexual harassment. His actions are extremely inappropriate in the work place (or any place for that matter) and should be dealt with. Give him one final warning; tell him nicely, but firmly that if he doesn't stop harassing you and touching you, you will report and file a formal complaint against him for sexual harassment.

All of them. It's not the dog, it's the owners/breeders that create problems. I have seen poodles that were viscous and dobermans that were lap dogs. It's all about training and the kind of care they get, not the dog breed.

I promised my daughter that I would buy her a gold lame wedding dress. Where can I find one? (I still have several years before she needs it, but I want to be ready.)
I would recommend having it made by a seamstress or tailor. I doubt that you'll find anything outside of a cocktail dress made in gold lame.

What is your favourite room of the house to sob quietly in?
I'm a sofa sobber. (My couch is quite comfy and there's a bunch of pillows and blankets are handy.) I'll sit in my living room and blubber like a fool until the animals come over and see what all the fuss is about. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it isn't pretty. :-)

If you have allergies, such as an allergy to dust or certain chemicals, then yes, it can be 'bad' for you. My male dog is obsessed with his genitals he is still a puppy but this is getting rediculous!
You can check and make sure there is no inflammation, and may want to take him to a vet to check and see if he has a urinary tract infection. If it's just him doing that and all is physically fine, a firm NO in a loud voice will correct it over time. One of my previous dogs was a 'humper' who loved all the pillows on my couch. That got old real quick. Consistent correction...

The Homosexual issue has created controversy in the religious arena. Some say God condemns homosexuals, others say homosexuality is a gift from God. What is your opinion?
If god created man, and all his ancestors in turn, then god created homosexuals as well. Let us remember that god didn't write the Bible, humans did, and the one thing that is consistent in humans is that whatever we fear or don't understand, we condemn. My opinion.

Can we put our house in just my husband's name if my credit it bad?
Yes. I had to do that when I bought my first house (good thing I did too...not my husband and the guy turned out to be a big loser). If your credit is bad, the house/loan can be in your husband's name alone. He can add you to the title via a quit claim deed in which he goes from sole ownership to having you on the deed as well. The bank can't do anything about that. :-)

I agree in that he can stay until the bank forces him to leave, however, if I read you question correctly, he will get no funds back from the bank. The homeowner is the one that owes him his deposit back, and it's obvious that he has no money. Your son can take the owner to small claims court, but will still be responsible for collecting the money even if a judgment is made against the owner.

How do I transfer all data from Motorola Razor (T-Mobile service) to my new Verizon Motorazr v3m?
You don't. T-Mobile uses a SIM card, Verizon doesn't. All information from Verizon is stored directly into the phone. Plus you are switching carriers, and there's no way to transfer anything except your phone number at this time. Sorry, been there & it's a pain.

How do you get you 3 year old to stop saying that it is your mess and you need to clean it up, when they just dumped out all of their toys in the middle of the floor? I have tried to put in time out, also tried to spank, and explained in kid terms that.
I agree with, and have done, what the others have said...explain that if the toys are not picked up, you will throw them away. I went so far as to bag up everything and pretended to throw them out (I hid them in the attic - toys are expensive).

Can an hoa tow my car for expired tags?
Check the CC&Rs for information on unregistered vehicles. Most have a section regarding this. If the car was in the street, yes. If the car was in your driveway, no. They have to give you warning notices. And should have given you notice on the two anyway.
Answer to:
Our HOA dues went up 86% in 1 year! Isn't their a cap as to how far they can be increased?
It all depends on how the covenants were written. You'll have to read the CC&Rs and find out. It shouldn't be possible since the HOA dues will eventually drive everyone out of the development. Also ask other homeowners if their dues went up; it's possible that it was an error. And contact the HOA itself and ask for their financial budget and reason for the horrendous rate hike.

Do you agree that Wicca is on course to be the US's third largest religion by 2012? (Link in my answer.) Why or why not?
I think it would be wonderful, and could see it happening easily. I personally have seen a huge growth in Wicca and its acceptance...even within my own family. Knowledge is the key - to teach non-pagans what we are all about; to dispel the inaccurate 'devil worship' crap and to teach the truth.

Answer to:
The rapid growth of Wiccan witchcraft can be attributed to the same cause behind abortion, gambling, homosexuality, divorce, lasciviousness, and every other sin, apostasy (a turning away from God). Agree or disagree?
I also disagree, but think that the rise in Wicca and other pagan 'religions' comes from our searching for something different to believe in. To believe in deities that do not punish bad behavior, but rather reward the good. (I don't see a correlation between those things that you've listed and apostasy since most have been around in one form or another since man became man.)

Answer to:
Do spells really come back ten-fold?
It depends on what you were taught/what you believe. My beliefs are the three-fold law; whatever you do comes back times three. This rule (be it 10 or 3-fold) is why Wiccans rarely, if ever, do negative spells.
Answer to:
Do you know what "Skyclad" is? Do you participate?
Yes, I know what it is, and no, I choose not to practice in the nude.

Answer to:
Why are Wiccans believed to worship Satan?
I think it's because of the fact that it's easier to believe what people tell you to than to do the research, as you have done, and find out the truth. People have been lead to believe lies and falsehoods in the name of 'god' or 'religion.' It's also easier to condemn that which you don't understand.

Don't feed her on carpet. Feed her in the kitchen or in a room where there is tile/linoleum, etc. Some cats and dogs just take the food out of their dish to eat. You'll never break her of it, so just learn to live with it.

NO no no. What a complete waste of money that would be. She doesn't need an attorney to fight a speeding ticket, which she will invariably be found guilty of anyway. Have her plead no contest; it isn't the same as guilty. As Morgenstern said, she'll just get a fine and points on her license.

nope - I don't think I've ever had the flu shot. I've already had a cold/flu this year - that's pretty much all I ever do (once a year), I should be ok til next year. :-)
Answer to:
If a woman is a widow and she remarries once her husband has passed when she dies who does she get buried with? Her old husband, new husband or do they make a plot with her in the center and them on both sides?
It's all a matter of personal choice. My step-dad remarried years after my mom died and is going to be buried next to his new wife.
If all depends on what they want or would have wanted.

If you're a parent, what would be the best advice you could give to your child when he become a parent too?
Be patient; be firm; and try and remember what it was like to be whatever age your child is. Keep everything in perspective. You can be firm without being cruel, but children need rules and boundaries not grown up friends. Be a parent. You may not be all that popular with them at certain times, but they will [eventually] come to appreciate all you do and have done.

They just pulled Childrens medication like tylenol for accidental overdoses- I've never had a problem with my child over dosing so is it still safe to use?
yes, it's still safe to use. Follow directions - it's quite simple really. :-) (I never had a problem either.)
Answer to:
I can feel a grinding in my wrist, like bone on bone, any ideas of what it could be or what I should do besides make a doctors appointment(1 week wait)?
Sounds like the loss of cartiledge in your wrist (similar to what happens with knees). There's really nothing you can do until you see your doctor; he/she can make recommendations.

A round of applause for Al Gore winning the Nobel Peace prize?
*APPLAUDS* I've always been a supporter, and though he did get some facts wrong, his cause is one to be applauded with or without the Nobel Peace Prize.

Answer to:
Should you tell your boss if you accept a second job?
Personally, I wouldn't unless it could conflict with your primary job duties such as staying late, etc. In my current position, I never stay late so if I were to take a second job (which I am considering), there would be no reason to tell my boss. (I figure if he was paying me enough to begin with, I wouldn't need the second job.)

What can you legally do with the belongings of a roommate whose moved out, stop paying and has been gone a year?
After that long, the goods are considered to be abandoned. You can give them away, keep them or sell them. Most jurisdictions state that you can do that after 30-90 days, so you've met that time frame and then some.
Answer to:
Is the Nobel Committee deluded to award the Peace Prize to Al Gore, or does this vindicate him and show that it is his detractors who are deluded?
His cause is valid, as are [most of] the findings he has stated. He won the Nobel Prize as part of a group. I don't think there's anything he needs to be "vindicated" for; he has done nothing wrong except try to help our planet and people.

Thanks for overlooking the 'rules' in this very special case!
