Can you still get LASIK done if you have astigmatism? Yes, it is possible. I have severe astigmatism in both eyes, and I spoke to a specialist that does only astigmatism lasik. It is expensive, but it can be done. Just make sure you research the doctor thoroughly. Good luck!

If you are able to be at home with the puppy most of the time, you will probably do well with the training. Getting an older dog is better if you are not able to stay at home as much. They will most likely be somewhat trained, and there are so many beautiful dogs in shelters that need good, loving homes.

I signed a new car contract for a new Toyota for 2.9% financing. The deal was not accepted by Toyota and now the dealership wants me to sign a new contrract for 5.75%. What are my rights? I got into a car accident, the other driver was driving on a suspended license. He is trying to take me to court to claim the repair costs of his car. Will I have to pay the full damage even if he had no license? The unlicensed driver will probably have consequences for not having a license, but having no license does not cause an accident. If you caused the accident, he can sue for damages.

Try boiling a pot of water with sea salt in it (about 1 cup per gallon of water) and place it in the oven and let the steam work on it. This works well for baked on grease. Good luck!

Is it appropriate for my fiance to attend my ex husband and the father of my 3 childrens funeral? My opinion is it depends on the circumstances of the divorce. If the divorce was amicable and no hard feelings, then it would be appropriate as everyone should see your fiancee being there as a support person for you. If things were not amicable and your ex's family might be hurt by his attending the services, it would not be appropriate.

Why has the concept of marriage become such a punch line to so many people in this day and age? Why do people seem to rarely ever take the Institution of marriage with any degree of seriousness anymore? I have been very happily married for 15 years now, and I feel very lucky to know we will be together for the rest of our lives. I believe much of the woes of marriage are due to selfishness and unwillingness to adjust and compromise. My opinion is if you can put the needs of others ahead of yourself, you are a good candidate for a long and happy marriage.

I've had discussions with many here where we hold very opposing views, but we still get along. I really enjoy the mutual respect factor. It's great to be able to agree to disagree. I have a bladder infection (you gals know how bad they hurt) and I have no insurance and no money to pay for a doctor or the medicine. I'm really sick and don't know what to do. Anyone know of anything I can do to maybe get rid of this by myself? Any infection is dangerous and requires medical attention, however if you can't see a doctor (which is what I too would recommend) perhaps you can get an over the counter remedy like Azo: http://www.azoproducts.com Also drink cranberry juice as the others recommend. If the infection has just begun, the Azo and juice may be enough. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.

Just when I thought I had seen it all. Today I saw a man driving with a LARGE dog on his lap and talking on a cell phone at the same time. What is it with people? Do they think that they are indestructible? I think it is incredible how many people are willing to put the rest of the people on the road in danger. I also wonder what they think is going to happen to the dog if they get in an accident. Out pops the air bag, and the dog is not likely to survive. I believe in using dog restraints in the back seat. I also believe I AM destructible, and drive accordingly.

When does Christmas officially end for you? If we are at my sister's house, everything continues for a couple of days, including all her kids being there and eating leftovers. My dog has been vomiting for over three weeks. I have spent thousands on medications, xrays and finally surgery. He had a enlarged gall bladder which we treated with meds and cleared up. He has started vomiting again and the vet has given up. Take him to another vet, right away. Your vet may have missed something. Sometimes they whack a bunch of celery on a table, and sometimes they use a watermelon too. I am sure there are plenty of other options, but these are the two I have seen done.

Men say they like "curvy" ladies. Women constantly critisize "stick insects". I can't remember the last time I saw a magazine that WASN'T championing the fuller figure in protest against the supposed "skinny craze". So who exactly IS promoting skinniness? The media can be so cruel because it will say skinny is bad and skinny is good all in one breath. It is amazing to me that Jennifer Love Hewitt was just dubbed "fat" and she's a size 2! I know the United States has a large overweight population, but the average woman would have to be skeletal to slide in to a size two. I say let's promote healthy rather than skinny or curvy!
