Answer to:
Does anyone know the difference between dating and courting?
Dating is one-on-one with another person.
Courting is when the guy spends time with the girl and her family, the girl with him and his family, or spending time with a group of friends.
I firmly believe in courtship. Not date-courting like some people do (my definition of that is: court this person, didn't work, court that person, didn't work, etc.) I believe that you should get to...

Why are some people so opinionated and filled with hatred & are ready to verbally attack any person who has an idea or thought?
Most people like that internalize what the other person is saying as an attack. But then, some people just think they know it all and everyone ought to know their opinion.
Either way, I wish people wouldn't be so rude.

He Leadeth Me
He leadeth me, O blessed thought.

Whatever I do, wherever I be,
still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.
Chorus
He leadeth me, He leadeth me.
By His own hand He leadeth me.
His faithful follower I would be,
for by His hand He leadeth me.

Study skills, what are those? LOL!
I don't consider myself to have very good study skills because when I was in school I never felt that I studied in quite the right way. For some reason, I always did better if I crammed the night before or on the way to school for a test.

Can a overweight (but not obese) woman still be attractive or sexy to some men?
Yes. I think it's aweful how hollywood has made people believe that skinny is beautiful.
I personally am not very big but that's my body's make-up, which is what we need to go by. Not everyone's bodies are made to be small, and not everyone's bodies look good small. If you feel good with how you look then that's all that really matters.

Does brand name clothing detergent make a difference compared to generic brands? I go for the cheapest I can find like Costco's Kirkland "brand" in huge 5 gallon vats. :)
I am from a big family and my mom tries to save as much as she can.
We tried some off-brand in a 5 gallon bucket from Sam's Club (don't remember the brand) and it didn't do as well as Tide so we switched back.

What would you do if you suddenly discovered that the food you were currently eating, was made of people?
This is going to be gross, sorry.
Don't know which state in the US this happened in: A woman was in a pizza resteraunt and found a fingernail in her pizza. So she complained and eventually caused the place to get investigated.
In the freezer they found the owner's wife. He had killed her and was getting rid of her a little at a time in order to hide the evidence, obviously not...

Why is it that arguments/debates about Religion are always taken to extremes? Is there no point of compromise, or is it just that the two parties are unwilling to find that point? (Please don't downrate me. This not directed at anyone in particular.)
I too wish that the arguements wouldn't get so mean sometimes. But as for compromise, we Christians are specifically told not to in the Bible.

Answer to:
Why do some people think that using "Oh my God" as an exclamation, is taking God's "name" in vain? God is not his "name". It is merely a title, which can be used for more than just "Yahweh".
Good question. I never thought of it that way. I am a Christian and I do think it's wrong to say GD, but I just don't think it's very reverent to say, "oh my god." and I try not to say it.
Some people probably think what you asked because now a-days, God is what we call Him, so to us, God is His name.
Hope that helps and is understandable.

I have a little boy that I have adopted. My problem is that I just cant say no to him, I get him whatever he wants. He's such a good kid am I going to ruin him?
Yes. If you keep on, when he's older and you get tired of always telling him yes, he'll throw things at you like you don't love me anymore as the reason you said no. That and other situations will occur as a result.

If my mom says i have to wait untill im more mature to date, what do i do?????
Wait and listen to your mom. Been there, done that. In the long run, a good, strong relationship with your parents is worth much more than the pain of many broken relationships. I recommend reading Joshua Harris' books: I kissed dating goodby (I personally didn't read that one but heard it was really good), say hello to courtship (very good book), and not even a hint (very good book).

Do you grow anything like flowers or vegetables?
Yes. Several months back I took about eight seeds off of some strawberries that we had bought. I germinated them in a wet paper towel then planted them when they sprouted. I now have 4 plants about 2 inches high. Which is much better than I did last year. I planted an entire garden and nothing grew! Still working on my green thumb, LOL
