Answer to:
What do plantar warts look like, and how can you get rid of them?
In my experience, plantar warts look like firm raised bumps with a rough surface, covered in little black or grey dots. When they're on the soles of your feet or anywhere that receives significant pressure, they can REALLY hurt. Sometimes you just get one round one, sometimes they spread into little families (like mine did).
I found that diligent application of a product specifically...

How long should it take for a salicylic acid wart remover to work?
If you use it as often as it says to on the product, it can take anywhere from 2-12 weeks, providing it works. Some warts aren't bothered by it.
A lot of the remedies you find for warts are just ways of convincing your body that the wart doesn't belong and it should be eliminated. Salicylic acid is supposed to dry the wart out, but some of them go deeper than the acid can reach...

How do you get rid of warts?
I tried every single remedy I could find to get rid of the warts I had (under my fingernails - one of the most difficult to get rid of, aside from Plantars). I had pretty good results with duct tape (really!) and good results from Compound W gel (NOT the liquid!). Unfortunately they didn't get rid of all of them completely. Even the dermatologist couldn't get them off - he tried...

Does soda really damage your teeth? If so, which kinds (cola, root beer etc.) cause the most damage?
Absolutely it damages them, even if you're not soaking your teeth in it (that would be awkward).
My cousin had to have her teeth veneered because of enamel loss due to Pepsi, but that's understandable when you take into consideration that she drank nothing but Pepsi for a very long time.
I would say in sensible amounts, it's fairly safe, as long as you're a regular...

How do I make fragrance oils without using alcohol?
This is just my opinion, but it's a decent method.
Start with a small bottle and fill it a few teaspoons shy of the top with a good carrier oil, like jojoba or almond. (about 40 ml or so)
Pick out some essential oils that you think blend nicely (not too many though!), and add them, a drop at a time, to the carrier, capping and shaking regularly, until you get a scent you like.

I have tried every product to correct my oily skin, but nothing has helped. Is there any medicine that can make my skin produce less oil?
Funnily enough I had pretty good success when I started using an oil-free moisturizer every day. My guess is that it got my skin to stop panicking and over-producing oil.
Applying plain yogurt works well too.

Are there home remedies that can help get rid of blackheads?
I use a facial steam with peppermint and chamomile to loosen blackheads, then a deep cleanser to wash them away.
Just empty a peppermint teabag and a chamomile teabag into a large bowl and pour in about 6 cups of boiling water. Give it a minute to sit, then lean over it so that your face is about 8" from the water. Some people put a towel over their head to trap steam but I...

How can I break a nail-biting habit?
I stopped biting mine by keeping them filed and polished. I became a compulsive nail-filer for a little while but my nails always looked so nice, I didn't want to wreck them by biting them. As they got longer I wanted to bite them less and less to keep them looking nice.
Sometimes it's easier to replace one habit with a better one.

Is there a home remedy for a urinary tract infection?
Honestly, I've always found that a 1L bottle of Coke worked wonders for UTIs. Not only does it keep your bladder full (which seems to make it less painful) but for some reason it really dulls the infection itself.
Of course, I usually combine it with Pyridium (prescription UT analgesic), but even without, the Coke seems to work remarkably well.
Say what you will about it not working,...
