If there was an age you could pick and stay that age forever how old would you want to be?
I'm only 18, but I'd love to go back to being 16. There was something so fantastic and carefree, with that freedom of being able to drive and go places without your parents all of the time, but still young enough to get away with being immature and silly... ahh, great memories :)
Answer to:
If you could have anything ,what is the one thing that you want from life at this moment in time? No matter how bizarre it may seem.
Dinner with the guy I can't stop thinking about, at a little place down the street, a time when I'm not sad or awkward or stumbling over my words.
Or a HUGE FIRETRUCK.

Have you ever wanted to say to someone, "You know, I really don't give a f*ck what you think"?
In my Beginning Fiction Writing class, yep, pretty often. I can get defensive about my writing. Mostly when it's peer editing and someone else my age is tearing apart something I spent a lot of time on. I'm working on getting over the inner explosions, though :)

Answer to:
Is it wrong to post pics of your ex on line if they were given to you as a gift?
No, no matter what the circumstances. These pictures were probably given to you by someone who trusted you completely at the time. Just because you're no longer together doesn't mean that trust should be broken, even if you're not putting them up with malicious intent.
Answer to:
Why is it that sick people are always trying to convince you that they are not contagious?
Being sick is kind of a stigma in American germophobic society. For example, I live in a college dorm suite, and if one person gets sick, everyone else completely avoids them. It may be smart, but if you're the sick one it completely sucks because you feel ostracized and friendless. That's why I crossed my fingers and kept hanging out with my good friend who got pneumonia...luckily...

I'm almost more myself on here than I am anywhere else, because I don't truly know anyone on AB. If my friends in real life read some of the things I said in answers about myself, they'd probably be shocked, and that's part of the joy of it :)
Answer to:
After you turned 18, did you wish/want to move far away from you family?
Haha, it was only six months ago, and yes, and I did.
It wasn't about moving away from my family as much as delving into a completely new atmosphere. I moved from Louisiana to Illinois for college. I had a lot of bad memories back home and I wanted to start over. Plus, I'm not the kind of person who can live in the same place for 18 years...I'm really restless. But I do miss...

What is one thing that you did, and never will do again?
Pot. It was nice at first, but after a few times it started really scaring me when I was high. I kept expecting it to get good again so I kept doing it, but it got worse and I eventually swore it off altogether. I know now that I have Panic Disorder and being that out of control of my own mind was very emotionally disturbing for me.

Do women give pet names to their own breasts?
I went to a sleepover freshman year of high school and we all gave our breasts names after famous couples. Mine are Jack and Diane. Others included Sonny and Cher, Ben and Jerry, Adam and Eve, and Bonnie and Clyde.
It's fun...when I had to have surgery on one of my breasts this summer and people asked me which one it was, I'd always say "It's Jack. Trust the male one to...

I was born left handed. My christian grandma forced me to use my right hand as a young child by slapping my left hand and switching them. Am I still technically a left handed person when referring to my brain wiring?
My Psychology professor talked about the exact same thing happening to him at Catholic school...the nuns used to tie his left hand behind his back so he couldn't use it.
I don't really think that, mentally, there's a proven difference between right- and left-handed people, just some physical advantages, I guess. I'm not sure, though.

When you meet and talk to a stranger, do you notice the blemishes or abnormalities on his or her face? If so, does it matter to you?
Well, most of the people I meet are around my age - in their late teens. I'm actually a lot more likely to notice if someone has perfect skin than if they have imperfections. I'm all freckles and eye bags and acne and acne scars and moles and dark spots and big pores, so I hope people don't inspect my skin too closely upon meeting me :)
However, if someone has really bad skin...
Answer to:
What is the meaning of your name?Mine is queen
Katie is my real name, on my birth certificate (my parents have a thing about just naming people nicknames, instead of having several names because you shorten your first name, or something...for example, my dad's real name is Johnny, not John). But it comes from Katherine, which means "pure" or chaste. People who know me usually laugh at that.

No, and I think even some of the more "subtle" ways can be almost as devestating to a young girl's self-esteem. I'm definitely more attracted to a guy if I know he's smart, but it's not the hugest factor for me.

Do you think it is right to force a child to sit there and finish everything on their plate?
No. My father grew up on a farm where he was forced to eat everything on his plate. Now, as an adult, he still has difficulty walking away from an unfinished plate of food, so he keeps eating even if he's already so full he feels sick. He's had a lot of weight problems in his life, and I think this is one of the major causes.

Why do people grow their hair just to cut it off again?
It's a conundrum. When I have short hair, I want to have long hair or the sake of a flowing, pretty, feminine look. When I have long hair, it becomes a burden and I want short hair again.
Luckily, my hair grows fast enough that if I wait a few years between each time I decide to chop it all off, I can sort of have both. Those in-between stages bug me, though.

Why is it that men can't seem to change the toilet paper roll when it runs out?
Everyone knows that men break out into cooties when they have to change the toilet paper or wash the dishes or put the toilet seat down or get up and get their own beer when the woman's already in the kitchen.
Cooties! They kill.

MvL answered this very well, but I wanted to add that you need to be sure you're ready to have sex. I'm not trying to be preachy or belittle you or anything, but before you even start to worry about this you need to be sure this is a guy you both love and trust. What if a guy says to you wait for the one you really like to have sex with..and its not going to be me. but the next night you guys have sex. but everything felt so right? and he didnt leave afterwards, hes been sticking around without having sex.
This sounds a lot like my relationship. We fooled around for a bit and then one night, driving me home, he told me that I should wait until I get married to have sex, because he regretted losing his virginity in a bad situation. I was extremely confused and upset. A few weeks later, I lost my virginity to him, and it felt right.

Answer to:
What is your favorite place to be on a warm Sunday afternoon?
If I've had a stressful week, I get in my car and drive 10+ miles behind my house, beyond all of the subdivisions, and into the part of my city that people never see, where it's just fields and farms for miles and miles. On a humid Louisiana day, with both my window down, my sunroof open and my air conditioner running full blast, it's the most relaxing thing in the world.

What is RIGHT with legalizing gay marriage?
Marriage should be about love. With the current divorce rate and the number of loveless marriages there are out there, I think that two people who are in love, regardless of gender, creed, or race, should have the right to marry.
Plus, Julia Roberts married Lyle Lovett. Just putting that out there to think on.

Like everyone else said, confront him. The fact that he's been laying on the romantic talk could be his guilt talking. If he IS cheating, then all of the "I love you"s could be his way of compensation, or his worrying that you might suspect him. Good luck.

Should a first kiss be through a relationship or a random "hook up?"
I always felt like a loser in high school for having never been kissed, but I knew I wanted it to be special. End of junior year, I was in my first relationship with a great guy who was shy and inexperienced like me.
We went out for several months before we ever kissed. It was right before my 17th birthday. It wasn't a great kiss (it was pretty horrible, actually), but I don't...
Answer to:
When you are building a relationship or friendship with someone, if you discover something extremely disappointing, would it make you reassess that person...slow down..rethink the budding friendship?
My best friend and I are identical on the surface - same sense of humor, etc. I'm really happy when I'm around her. Over the past few years she's revealed more than a few disappointing qualities, but if anything, that's made our friendship stronger.
However, the same thing happened in my relationship recently, and it's had the opposite effect. I had to make a...

What year of high school was your favorite? What year did you dislike the most? and why..
Least favorites were freshman and junior year.
Favorites were sophomore and senior year.
It seems like it depends on your school (I was actually told which years at my school would be good and bad before I entered high school). For me, freshman year was bad because I was depressed and entering a big high school from a tiny middle school. Junior year was stress. Sophomore and senior year I...

When you judge someone appearance do you just look at their looks or do you look at them from the inside? For example if a girl is very pretty but very mean, would you think she pretty even tough she mean or you dont think she that pretty because she mean?
The fact that a guy is hot is enough to get me interested at first, but if I talk to him and he's a jerk, I lose ALL attraction towards him, immediately, period, and it never comes back.
On the opposite side, a guy who's not very good looking can become a hottie if I get to know him and he's got a great personality.

How do I make my eyebrows darker?
(I know you're male and this is a bit of a girly solution, but bear with me)
When I last got my hair dyed the lady who did it forgot my eyebrows, leaving me with light blonde brows and almost-black hair. I just went to Target and got a cheap medium-brown hair dye (remember - it's really DARKER than it looks on the box).
When I got home I mixed just a tiny bit of it, put some...

I always button and then zip (because most of my jeans are a might tight around the waist...weird body shape).
I've quickly found that this is a mistake, as you're much more likely to forget to zip if you button first.

Cut off all ties. I had to do it with my (ex-)best friend once. I lost three other friends in the process, but I started hanging out with new people and it was completely worth it. I met my new best friend and people I liked who'd been acquaintances became my friends. It all worked out.

If someone tells you they love you and you dont know what to say and about 2 minutes pass and then he says sorry just forget it. did he really mean it. we are not talking teenage relationships here. its adults
He probably meant it, but was so embarassed at the thought that you didn't feel the same way that he pretended he didn't mean it.
Next time you see him, tell him how you feel about him. Even if it's not love on your part, he needs to hear that you didn't dislike him or lose interest because of what he said.

Discussing it with them, like mentioned above, can work, if you're a family that communicates a lot. However, my family didn't talk much, which made those situations more awkward. I had a similar rule at that age, and I didn't have a cell phone. Also, my parents usually went to bed around 8 PM because they both had to go to work early in the morning. No matter how often I told my friends NOT to call my house after 8 PM, they still did.

What words do you say to replace swear words?
I used to burn myself a lot when I was little, so every time I get hurt, I yell "HOT!"

Also "Shizah!" (don't know if that's spelled right), which I think is German for sh*t.

Do you sometimes feel uncomfortable speaking a word that you have only seen in written form (for example when choosing to order something in a restaurant)?
Yeah, that's why I try never to say words without knowing how they're pronounced first.
A few weeks ago I was in a Japanese restaurant on a date and I ordered some sort of sushi for the first time (big step for picky me) and the waitress laughed at my pronunciation. I usually just point at stuff on the menu if I can't pronounce it.

I can't stand most condiments or anything with condiments on or in it. That includes ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and most salad dressings. I also hate pickles, onions, sour cream, and most food that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I was a lot worse when I was a kid, but now I can usually eat around my picky quirks.

To me, there's something more old-fashioned and personal about going to the store and looking through a bajillion cards just to find the one that says exactly what you mean. It's a bit more annoying, but it's nice to know that someone put time and thought into it.

Definitely see your dermatologist, and when you get an examination of your moles, show him/her all of them, even if it's in an embarassing or strange spot (for example, not trying to scare you, but my grandmother had a cancerous mole on her scalp that she never saw). My dermatologist tends to get especially wary of brand new moles, but I'm no expert as to why.
