How is conducting research on the internet different from conducting research in the university library?
Huge difference. The resources provided by the University library have been vetted ie, they have been evaluated for authority. At one time, Wikipedia was only 62% accurate, and it's one of the BETTER sources. Not so concerning the databases to which the University subscribes. Do you want to turn in papers which are accurate? Use the library. If you don't care, use the Internet.

You lost your baby
And me the same
Ain't it true how love's a hurtin' game
Could I have this dance
May I be so bold

And the night is so cold
Wouldn't it be fine bein' lonely together...

When the doctor refused to acknowledge that I had a basal body temperature a degree and a half below "normal," I asked if he actually graduated since he must have been at the bottom of his class. I talked about average temperatures, etc. Then, I walked out and got a different physician. I'd see him at the store and he'd ignore me. Oh, well.

How do you know if you just have a headache or a migraine?
That depends on the person. I get nauseated; my wife doesn't. However, many people see flashing lights in their peripheral vision. As a vascular phenomenon, a migraine results from restricted blood flow in the brain. As the blood flow increases, the veins (which have been constricted) are irritated and the nerve endings register the pain.

You are either an exempt employee or NOT. The employer can't have it both ways. Non-exempt employees are due overtime for hours exceeding 40 per week. They could qualify you as a professional non-manager and say you are exempt on the basis of your position (there are three criteria under which someone can be classified as exempt and professional is one of those).

Each day is what we make of it. We can decide to have a good day or a bad one; the choice is ours.
If you are angry at someone, you have let him or her determine your response to your day (when we tell someone "you've make me angry" we give incredible power to that person).

Can't songwriters write about anything else besides "love"? There are so many other interesting aspects of life---why is a song always about love? It makes me want to gag.
You'll know "why" when you truly fall in love for the first time. Love is the single, most, life-changing emotion enjoyed by humankind. Even when one experiences infatuation (which most young people mistake for love) he or she experiences some of the possibility of what happens to one who experiences true love. The brain chemistry is unique, as well. Look into how it can even...

Do you think more students should be held back US? Would holding back more students for failure to complete work help solve the problem of kids graduating high school without being able to read? Are standards too low for students?
The problem is that the system expects too little and teachers have been hampered (or as we say in Texas --hogtied) from dispersing appropriate discipline. Schools are hugely expensive social clubs that turn out the occasional brilliant kid (those who really want to learn). We are turning into a third world country--quickly.

If you are looking for your ex to have changed, forget it. You love people for who they are, not who you want or expect them to be. And, if you stay together just for the child, you all three will be miserable. Better to have a kind relationship with the ex and a loving relationship with your new partner to show the child what love can mean in the proper context.

I think this is talking about communication, mostly. If someone says something to you and you choose to think they meant to jab at you, the human response is to bristle and become defensive or to return the attack. However, if you choose to assume that they had good intent in the communication, your response would be less defensive and your situation would not escalate.

How many of you employ the services of another to do your income tax? Is it worth the cost?
I calculate my own and have my accountant do it. I'm here to testify that he saves me money! I've used the same firm for ten years. They also help me with the longer term investments and deductions. They know, for example, how long I've depreciated items and they don't let me forget the 1031 Exchange. Good people.

If your allergies continue to bother you, ask your family doctor about prescription meds. Most patients find that a nasal spray (or two, such as fluticason and flunisolide, as one such combination, one to reduce swelling of the nasal membranes and one to halt the allergic reaction) can provide them round the clock relief!

Answer to:
Why is it that death causes some familys to drift apart or fight.
Sometimes people feel guilty--about what they did or didn't say to the one who passed (or what they did or didn't do for them). Guilt manifests itself in a number of ways, sometimes as anger at those who remind us of it. It's sad and it's preventable. Remember to give our kindest each day to those we love and there will be no guilt. . .

What are your thoughts on all of the steriods they put in our food? And what do you think should be done about it?
Buy certified organic foods and you won't have to worry about pesticides, growth hormones, steroids, transfats, and a host of other poisons that raise the bottom line for big agriculture. Shop your local farmers markets, too, demanding certified organic--let's get it down to the grass roots level and make our fellow citizens healthier!
It blows my mind that people think meats...

Does giving cereal to a baby really make the baby sleep better?
No cereal before 4 months old--but, once a child is on solids, remember that what children eat affects how they sleep. Here are some guidelines:
"One of the keys to a restful night's sleep is to get your brain calmed rather than revved up. Some foods contribute to restful sleep; other foods keep you awake. We call them sleepers and wakers. Sleepers are tryptophan-containing foods,...

What makes you proudest about your children?
My daughter has the kindest heart. When she was five and she and I went to see Santa Claus in the park (it was a small Texas town and he rode in on a fire truck to the park tree lighting ceremony). Santa, at the conclusion of his visit, threw out small candy canes to the children who were corralled in a half circle by waiting parents. My daughter picked up two -- one crushed and one whole. What makes you proudest about your parents or grandparents?
My father was the kindest man I've ever met. For example, he would never pass a car broken down on the side of the road without stopping to render aid. And, years before the book Pay It Forward was released, he would tell those who offered to repay him, to instead help someone else when they saw people in need. When friends were in need, our house was open to them. A neighbor was moving?...

Mrs. Helmquist, my eighth grade English teacher, is my nominee. She taught me more about grammar (all mistakes on AB are my fault from poor memory) in one year than any other teacher and all others, combined. She was hard and she was fair.

You get to assign your own values (keep it realistic or get audited) since IRS rules no longer allow the librarians to do...

I am strong in my faith (ordained as both a deacon and an elder), which is not theirs.
