I should imagine it would be the same for many oral medications. Food in the stomach would interfere with the absorption of the medication so it's best if there's as little as possible in the stomach.

Yes, melanin is what darker people have more of and it's a fantastic protection from the sun. The disadvantage is that it doesn't allow the skin to absorb vitamin D from the sun so one would have to consume vitamin D instead.

I had very little exposure to computers at school. The workplace taught me a lot more but that was only work-related applications. It was when my husband got a computer that I learnt much more and it was largely by trial and error. I'm no expert though so I can't fix it when it goes...

Yes, just over 3 years ago, I began suspecting that my mother expects me to parent her. It's scary and I'm not doing it. I've got a disabled child to care for so Mum will just have to learn to behave like an adult and look after herself.

Why is it that when alot of people think of who "should" cook at home its the woman when men are the majority of the cooks in restaurants?

I don't know. It's weird, isn't it. My husband loves cooking and I gladly let him. I do cook but not for he and I (he cooks for us). I cook for our children on weekdays (they eat earlier than us in the evenings). At the weekend, hubby cooks for us all.
