How long did it take you to 'master' your computer..figure out how it works?
No. Clearly not. I thought I had, but then I somehow stuffed up the internet and now there is no way to connect from my laptop so I have to use my dads instead. I've been using computers all my life and I still don't know all the ins and outs. I'm alot better than my mum though. I think its the technical stuff that kicks my arse.

What do you think about "slum dog millionaire"?
Excellent movie. Great storyline, and acting, although it was a bit long for me, for one sitting. I would have prefered it if there was some interval half way through where I could walk around for a bit then go back to my seat. I guess that's the advantage of DVD's. I love movies that show aspects of different cultures that I wouldn't have known about. How honest a portrayal it...

Why is it ok for white men to sleep with black women but if a white woman sleeps with a black man, she is labeled for life as a "pig"?
Sounds pretty stupid to me. I've never ever heard anything like that. I guess I lead a pretty sheltered life lol. That is a double standard though, and extremely stupid. I find darker skintones very attractive :) (African Americans anyway, espesically when they have a sparkly white smile to go with it!)

Why do some women prefer to have male friends?
Women can be very complicated and come with issues. You often feel like you're in competition to be the hottest, the smartest, have the best clothes, the best love life etc. It's a Girl Eat Girl kinda world lol. I think girls in general are cool, but I get really annoyed with girls that are anti-girl, and try to be one of the guys. It's cool to find stuff in common but I think...

Yup unfortunately I do. Since I started taking medication it's been full blown depression, which sucks big time. I'd rather be manic and happy, even if no one can make sense of what I'm doing for me. If you were to, lord forbid, die right now, would you have any regrets?
Definately. I regret alot of things in my life and find it really hard to forgive myself. I think if I could go back in time I would spend more time doing things I love, doing what I wanted and not worrying about what others thought and being a better friend. I would have also worked harder in highschool and hopefully would have figured out what to do at Uni.

Does anyone know a place to find a bra that wont show w/ my prom dress (it has an open back, a strapless bra would still show) helpppp! =[
Sticky chicken fillets. You get two and they cover the breasts and peel off when you're done. You can usually reuse them a few times but it's important to keep them clean. All the celebrities use them on the red carpet, and most of my friends had to use them for prom.
Good luck!

Do you think New Zealand is the Best place in the world? (be brutally honest if you want to).
There's no way I could answer that. It's a nice place to live (there's no place like home!) but unless I had tried living in every possible environment, country, city, and village there's no way I could answer this fairly.

Answer to:
Do you think its good how New Zealand still upholds the culture of Maori people?
Yes, but I used to get so sick of hearing about the Treaty of Waitangi, and I think it is shocking how people treated the Prime Minister on Waitangi day (ok I wouldn't have voted for him, but at least treat him with a little respect while he is leading us!). I think Maori people are treated amazingly espesically if you compare them to the Aboriginals across the Tasmin although things are...

Have you ever seen a Maori before?
Occassionally. I think they are more common up North. I grew up with a few though. Good times :)
Answer to:
What do you like about New Zealand?
Good familiar food, cultural diversity and respect for others (well sometimes...), lack of threatening contagious diseases, epidemics, natural disasters, lack of snakes, lack of deadly and dangerous spiders and bugs, clean water, knowledgeable about other parts of the world, freedom, men and women considered equals, real sense of community, unique wildlife and animals, clear blue skies, clear...

Is it necessarily healthy to approach every new relationship like it "could be the one."? I mean like...Is always looking for love really that good?
I think you need to get to know someone as friends first, then branch out to group dates, than one on one dates. After seeing each other for a while (say six months) and you can't see the relationship heading towards marriage, I would consider it a waste of time and break-up.
I think relationships should be about getting to know someone than deciding if it's someone you want more...

Am I gonna be really ugly when I get to my goal weight? (Photo's included, see my response!)
READ FIRST!!!
I never thought this would be a problem before but I've just realised I have a really ugly nose (at least in these pictures.) I've lost about 35 pounds, and still have 55 to go by March next year, and my goal weight is 130 pounds. I think I'm about 190-196 pounds at the moment. What do you think?

When buying a present for someone, do you go out of your way to try to find out what this person needs/likes or do you just go with what you "think" they would want? Or do you just do the safe thing and give a money/gift certificate?
I usually put alot of thoughts into the gifts I buy. If someone mentions they want or need something I'll try to encoroporate it or get it for them. Usually I try to be creative with my gift buying and I avoid buying people ornaments, chocolate and bath products because not everyone appreciates those things and its the standard thing to buy someone when you don't know them very well....

How many times in your life have you REALLY fallen in love? I'm talking about that first feeling when you go crazy over someone, when you first realize that he or she makes your head dizzy, your heartbeat rush, and time stop.
Just once. Sure I've had tonnes of crushes but none the way I felt about this one guy. Everytime I saw him I feel sick, happy and fluttery at the same time. I don't think it was the right time in my life for this to happen though as I was getting hassled a bit at the same time and I wasn't really ready for a relationship. If you could have only one, a fridge, a washing machine, or a dishwasher, which would you choose?
If I were living alone I would chose a washing machine, because I could keep my food in the neighbours fridge and wash the dishes by hand. Usually somewhere in the middle but since I was often one of the last people on I either had to stand up or sit in the front. If humans died out and the evidence of our excistance vanished except for the amish + the bible, would people in 2000 years have more morals than we do now or would they be just as out of control as we are now? What other effects would this cause?

How many of you actually believe, or know someone who believes, the old myth about how humans only use 10% of their brains?
I guess it just depends what part of the brain you actually mean. I think we use about 4%. Everyone has more potential than they could ever use in one lifetime (*cough Leonardo Da Vinci!), but they have to know how to unlock it. If everyone really applied themselves and got all the opportunities to learn and develop people would be a lot smarter and more capable of achieving so much more. If...

Why do people have a tendency to continue believing in obviously false information when they are proven wrong, no matter what you say or do?
People have a right to their beliefs no matter what you say. The real question is, did you listen to what they had to say as well? maybe they just aren't good at representing themselves verbally. I would know, I can never say what I mean with words, unless I'm writing them down.
Answer to:
If you change your name by deed poll, and you then die, are the family obliged to do the funeral in your changed name, or can they use your old name against your wishes?
They should just use both. If the person has parents alive when they die, they would probably use the original name, but if they are older and have been known by a certain name since they are young, and are now the oldest in their families, with kids and grandkids or just kids, than it should probably be with their new name as thats kind of their idenity in a way.

Does the social concept of human 'race' do more harm than good?
I don't know. I don't think people should be sorted by race or religion, but people are so different from each other I don't know if we could all be considered "one". We are unique because we have control over our environment, and most of us are built the same with two eyes, one nose, a mouth, two arms and legs and have the same biological processes. Why do kids today prefer the oldies music of the 50s and 60s?
I think older music has always been around us, whether its been on ads or in movies. With todays technology, its easy to hear a song you like, look up the lyrics and find a whole new world of appreciation for many new artists. Do you think being a celebrity automatically means the person is intelligent?
I think you have to be pretty clevar to be a celebrity. People like Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson would have to have some brains to get to where they are today, cause they know the general public (well a minority) love bimbo's and people that act ditzy. Than again Paris WAS born into it. Her sister seems alot more down to earth.

Yes but you have to know how to unlock its power. I don't think we could ever use 50-90% of its capacity as most people use less than 1% and they already have enough to worry about.
