Is there any solid proof of alien existence?
I have not seen or heard of any solid proof of alien existence. But maybe there are different life forms that scientists are unable to detect with current technology. Because there are so many planets in the universe that have earth like conditions, it's quite possible that there might be something(s) similar to Earth life.

Do you think bullying could be deterred if bullies could be charged with manslaughter/murder if their victims kill themselves?
Sorry to answer this, but most bullies don't care. Sometimes their mommies and daddies hire the best lawyers money can buy. Also, if the bullies are under 18, there is a good chance they might just get a verbal reprimand at most.
I apologize, but the reality is harsh.

Answer to:
Are bullies sick in the head?
I think some bullies are very clever and sneaky actually.
Most bullies are able to do their mischief because they know when teachers and other authority figures are not paying attention.
Like terrorists, snipers, rapists and other criminals, they carefully time the bullying of their victims so they (the bullies) won't get caught. That aspect is actually quite clever.
But some of the more...
Answer to:
Is bullying in school against the law?
If it isn't, it should be illegal.
Is harassment okay in the work place?
Is it okay for parents to slap their kids around for fun?
NO and NO!!!
Bullies need to be held accountable for their b.s.
Unfortunately, most teachers, counselors and school staff are either indifferent, scared, over worked or a combination of the 3.
Most bullies will go free and walk over to their next victim with...
Answer to:
What good does teaching anti-bullying in schools if there are technically no laws against it in your State? kid bullies grow up & bully!
LIttle bullies grow up to be big bullies.
Most bullies are sneaky, scheming, mean people who will do their mischief when teachers aren't looking or paying attention. Like criminals, rapists and terrorists, they find quiet kids to target for their own fun. The quiet kids tend not to fight or talk back, so that makes them an easy target.
There are plenty of anti bullying rules in schools, but...
Answer to:
How do schools deal with bullying?
Most schools don't deal with bullying well.
I don't have stats, firstly.
But I have heard stories and some personal experience. Most teachers, counselors and other school staff are too busy with other things and overworked. If they have to deal with bullies or reprimand them, it adds to their huge workload. So even if they want to do something about the problem, they are too stressed or...

Do you think the bullying is a big problem in American schools? If not, read my story and then tell me what you think.
Sorry to hear you had a miserable middle school experience.
I am a 44 year old and I still remember being bullied by racists decades earlier. I try to forgive them, but I feel some resentment to this day. I am Asian, and I was called the n word , a word I hate to this day. I was also called "Iranian" - people who are tall, fair skinned and with small sharp facial features. I can't figure...

Answer to:
Is bullying a problem in middle schools?
Compared to what I went through almost 35 years ago in "liberal" Silicon Valley, I think there might be less racism. (Although I am not sure about this - I have no statistics. It is also hard to prove racism but sometimes it can be overt).
I was called the n word, "Iranian". Which is strange... Iranians are tall fair skinned people with sharp facial features and African people tend to have...

What names did the bullies call you or someone else in school? If you were a bully, what names did you call someone? Are you the bully that called me GRENADE? LOL
I was called the N word (ni**er) & "Iranian" even though I am Asian. It was always a few kids every year who would do this through out my school years from 1st grade until 12th. (The funny thing is, Iranian people tend to be fair skinned, with lighter colored eyes and tall. I have none of those coveted features....)
It was only a handful of dumbasses who would do that, the majority of...
Answer to:
This lady who is making work awkward is meeting "privately" with my boss right now. I notice she does this every few days or so. I'm starting to think she's complaining about me to my boss because I don't talk to her, when I do my job. How is it fair?
Try to get on the good side of your boss, if you haven't already. Easier said than done, of course. (Do the obvious things like being calm under pressure, not saying no to any assignment from the boss, making good relationships with other coworkers, showing up early or at the same time as the boss, leaving after the boss leaves. These can be difficult if you have a life outside work!!)
If...
Answer to:
Do you feel that you have a fair boss?
Many bosses are in their position of power because of some mid manager's ineptitude. Lots of bosses don't understand technical or scientific concepts and make bad decisions that aren't the best for the company. That is why many American businesses struggle - stupid management decisions. The managers/bosses rule by fear and workers are pretty much forced to cater to the whims and fancies of...

Answer to:
You must have known the bullies in your school very well. What jobs did they start in after high school? (And did they graduate or drop out?)
One of the girls who used to insult and bully me became a successful physical therapist and married a rich dentist. Another racist bully who was an ugly cheerleader (& horrible at dance and gymnastics, truthfully) became the mother of 2 kids and does local theater in Oregon. I wouldn't be surprised if she joined the KKK and wears a white robe and dunce cap.
Answer to:
Why can girls in middle school be so mean to each other?
They are still immature, trying to become young adults, going through puberty and trying to achieve academic success, keep a skinny physique, get a popular boyfriend all at once. It's not easy and so insane what girls go through. Especially nowadays, there is so much peer pressure. I saw a statistic that more (teen) girls are unhappy more than ever. Bullies suck donkey balls. The word bully in a South Indian language (Kannada) means penis. Gives new meaning to the words big bully and might be appropriate for some really mean spirited people.

What do you think about bullies?
Bullies suck major donkey balls. I think bullies need to get hit on the head so that some sense can get knocked into their thick skulls. The reality is that I would punch or hit unless it's to defend myself or my friends or immediate family.
But if there are any bystanders or witnesses, they must speak up for the victim(s) if the witnesses have any sense of ethics or half a heart....

Reznor is a gifted poet and genius musician and a very philosophical human. He deserves more credit because he is very original and that is so rare in today's music scene.

I am a strict vegetarian who used to be vegan about 10 years ago. My vegan ways lasted only 2 years and then when I became pregnant with my first kid, I gave in to my cravings for milk, ice cream and eggs (of course, separately, not mixed and mashed up!)
Veganism is very tough but the health rewards are great for most people. Some people should not even be vegetarian, I believe. One of my...

Answer to:
Did you ever bully anyone?
Never. Bullies suck major donkey balls.
That's why.
Answer to:
Why do people bully?
Bullies truly suck major donkey balls.
Bullies think it is their birth right to victimize people. They are selfish and have no conscience. The innocent bystanders who are witnesses to bullying incidents have more power than they think. They need to unite against a bully by speaking up (NO violence, though!). That usually stops the bully(s) in their tracks.
In one of the south Indian...

Has anyone ever moved from their residence/house due to a dangerous and/or lousy neighbor from hell?
Thanks to the kind hearted soul in Virginia for an answer!
One neighbor's child (son who is older and bigger than my daughter) (and the father intimidates and creeps me out) is harassing my child and has punched her in the stomach. The punch only happened once but the teasing is not stopping. Whenever my daughter goes out on her razor scooter this bully rides his bike and cuts in...

People r talking alot about stopping bullies, but does anyone think we should focus more on helping kids be confident & handle BEING bullied than trying 2 stop kids from doing it? Bullying has always existed, what makes people think its EVER going to stop?
I wish bullying would cease to exist but you are 100% correct when you say it will NEVER go away.
Kids (and Adults who get bullied) who are not bipolar or depressed and with a healthy self esteem may handle the bullying better than someone who has a fragile ego. Sensitive adults can probably handle teasing, harassment and bullies better than a sensitive child. Of course, a strong and...

Answer to:
What do YOU do when you really need a hug, but no one is around to give you it?
I agree with all of the responses so far. I keep a cuddly teddy bear or puppy (stuffed animals only - I'm allergic to the fur and dander of animals) on hand for those situation when a hug is required.

They think they have stopped bullying. Do you still have bullying at your school?
Not only is bullying thriving, there are new ways to bully over the internet.
Sad but true.

Answer to:
If your child was being bullied and the school seemed to be doing nothing, then would you encourage your child to hit the bullies back?
I don't think I would encourage my child to hit back. I would encourage the child to escape to safety, however.
Hitting the bullies back would seem like the ideal answer, but what if they are people who like to get revenge or have easy access to knives or guns, etc.? There is no simple or easy answer.
Although this is highly improbable, what if their dear old dads belonged to...

What are some good comebacks for people who ask "why are you so quiet?"
Hello - Sorry for not responding earlier to your question. I am still with my husband. We are in the process of going for counseling. My young daughter goes crazy everytime my husband and I have a heated argument. I believe most relationships can be salvaged with a bit of professional intervention (Divine intervention would help too!).
Sometimes, my husband will misinterpret my silence...

What is your favorite type of apple?
Asian pears are excellent. In our house, Fuji apples (refrigerated of course) rule. Organic apples are always the best tasting too.

Do you have a tattoo? What is it?
I have had Henna tattoos but those always fade after a couple of weeks.
I have never had a permanent tattoo because I
am a bit too conservative and scared (of the potential cost and physical pain) to get one. Also, there are so many designs I would never know which one to pick.
But I do respect other people's decisions to decorate their body in any way they wish. I believe in...

My 13 year old is having a rough time at school with the other kids, they are teasing him and have hit him (like in the back of the head and tripping). I'm livid and want to do something about it, but he wants me to just let it drop. What should I do?
I think you need to get involved at some point. Would talking to a school counselor or teacher help? Most of the time the school staff could care less or they are overworked with other problems. If none of the school staff, principal, etc are willing to help or unable to, I would either send the child to a decent private school or homeschool if possible. Anyone hitting or physically harming...

What are some good comebacks for people who ask "why are you so quiet?"
When my husband used to ask me that, I'd answer, "I want to hear what the others have to say." or something like that. He didn't buy it. He would grill me even more and in a hostile tone as though I was the one irritating him. Just minding my own business will annoy the crap out of some people I guess...
