I hate Barack Obama with a passion, and whenever people hear that, they automatically call me racist. They don't realize that you can hate a black dude without being racist. Any suggestions?
How can you hate a man you have (probably) never met?
Try changing your wording to "I hate the way Obama is running the US" or something similar instead of hating him personally.
An example, football player Ronaldo (Portuguese, playing for Real Madrid), I hate the way he is so arrogant at all I see him doing. I have never met the guy so can not possibly say I hate him, but I do...

Why does Barack Obama want to kill more solders and civilians in Iraq? I voted for him because he was against the war. I believe that funds that we tax from the rich should be given to the struggling Americans, not used for murder.
1. It is Afghanistan he is sending more troops to not Iraq.
2. He does not want to kill more soldiers, he is sending more so that they can actually try and win a war for once.
3. He never once said he was against war with his campaigning.
4. That tax system is called communism, that did not work in USSR but is doing ok in China atm, move there.

Wii? Xbox? PS3?
Which would you choose?
Ups and Downs?
If you got the money, PS3 is far superior to the 360 however, at half the price, a 360 is also a great option. Only problem is, after a year or so you would have spent the extra on the 360 buffing the price up to a similar mark as the PS3 (external HD's to save game data, extra control pads to save the hour or so it takes to make your friends work with your machine...).
Also remember...

It all depends on where the fence was. If the fence was on his property then you have no say as to what he does/did with it. If, however, it was on your side of the dividing line then he broke the law and it can be considered theft.

Yes.
This sort of thing happens very often during busy times. The cashiers are under a lot of stress when the que is 200 people long and they do their best to work as fast as possible that mistakes are inevitable.
Security guards understand this too and normally are polite and understanding about the staff mistake. Just show them the receipt and let them go and sort the security device...

It should be noted that they waited until they were 28 before marrying and it is VERY rare for a couple to stay together for so long after meeting at such a young age.

Why is the existance of god such a debate, could it not be fine either way
Ye, there is no problem with people believing/disbelieving in god. The problems start when people of one belief decide to use that belief to effect others.
Example: religious people WRONGLY assuming evolution contradicts god. They can not just accept evolution is a theory people are studying, they decide to argue against it without any reason.

How many runs we can run at a ball in one day cricket
One day cricket is limited overs cricket (I think).
So, the maximum amount of runs you can get will be:
6 x 6 x #overs
(max points from one ball) x (number of balls in an over) x (number of overs).
However, this does not take into account no balls, wides, ect.

You will NEVER stop a man from "window shopping" but for him to do it so obviously while on a date with you is a bit out of order.
Without actually seeing how blatant he was it is impossible to say how bad it was, it could have been a simple glance that you took the wrong way.
Also, if he was "lost" he could have just been thinking deeply and looking in her general...
Answer to:
How can a non living thing can turn into a living thing?
Assuming you are talking about evolution and the beginning of life, then it takes many millions of years for the molecules to form together in a specific way so that they are considered a life form (remember, life forms do not need to be what we think of life). These then take many more millions of years and eventually adapt to what we would consider a life form.

Answer to:
Does the doorway to your home open out or open in?
Out.
Despite other peoples view on "hitting people in the street" a door opening out is much safer and stronger than a door opening in. The thing which stops the doors from swinging inwards also makes it harder for potential thieves to force the door inwards.
An out opening door also makes it easy for a quick exit in an emergency situation (like a fire).
Answer to:
If you keep fantasizing about a friend, would it be healthy to tell them even though you are risking the friendship?
No.
There is a HUGE difference between fantasising and acting. If you wish to take the relationship further, then by all means go for it (good luck!). However, if you want it to remain as just friends then best to keep it to yourself.

My friend owns a strip club. One of the strippers won't work on Sunday because she is a Christian. He always schedules her on Sunday to spite her. Who is in the wrong?
Legally there is nothing stopping him from asking her to work on a Sunday.
Morally, her feelings should be considered and to schedule her to work on a Sunday out of SPITE is wrong. She should ofc be expected to work the occasional Sunday, but that should just be on a roster system, NOT out of spite.

The British emergency number is 999. When this was invented, telephones were still operated by dials with 9 at the end. Why was this number chosen when it would have taken longer to dial in a situation when every second counted?
I think it was to prevent mistaken calls. By using the last number 3 times it prevents any accidental phone calls wasting the emergency services time.
That is imo anyway :)
The combination 999 in any phone number in the UK is still banned to prevent any misuse.

My advice is yes. The age gap will destroy you eventually and it could be, as you said, a fling.

Calculate the percentage by mass of oxygen in codeine, C18H21NO3. What are the steps to solve a problem like this?
First identify what elements and how many are there:
18 x Carbon
21 x Hydrogen
1 x Nitrogen
3 x Oxygen
Now work out what mass of each element is there:
Carbon: 18 x 12 (atomic weight) = 216
Hydrogen: 21 x 1 = 21
Nitrogen: 1 x 14 = 14
Oxygen: 3 x 16 = 48
Now work out the total mass of the molecule:
216 + 21 + 14 + 48 = 299
Now work out what % the Oxygen has of this weight:...

This does sound like a good idea and I have thought about it very often.
My conclusion is no, they should not. There needs to be a limit somewhere. The current limit of 6 up and 5 down is perfectly sufficient and is only rewarded to those who have spent a fair bit of time here and earned the rewards.

They will be in the same place as all those who do not even know of religion.
Religion is fundamentally flawed!

After you have been refused entry to a country because of a former DUI will they ever let you back in? Canada refused to let them in. After how many years is it off you record in CA?
In the UK the policy is to look at each application on its individual merits. So any previous refusals should not impact the chance of addmition, however! If there is a problem with the application then the previous refusal can be used as a reason to wedge the scale over to the no side.
Best bet is to contact your local Canadian embassy and ask them their opinions.

Medicine takes 7 years to study (as standard) and many more after that to specialise. A 3 year (BMed) would not include enough course material for any kind of medical profession after studies.
Upon completion of the degree you are awarded a Doctorate, this is different to a Phd but is considered on par with it.

Generally speaking men are faster and stronger than woman, so the sports are also faster or require greater feats of strength and as such are considered more exciting.
There is also the fact that woman have only recently received equal rights to men, as such they have not had as long to achieve the same level of skill as men have.

When an American speaks to a foreigner in another language, does it sound like they have an accent?
The same thing applies to all multi lingual people. The "accent" is dependent on the ability of that person to speak that language.
I live in Norway, am English by birth and for the first 25years of my life (last 5 in Norway). I know many fellow foreigners from many countries, some of them are so good at speaking Norwegian that you would not be able to tell they are not a native...

When checking out of a hotel...do you gather up the towels, soap, shampoo..and little packages of coffee..and stick them in your bag?
Nope.
Although I do take something that I consider extra cool!
For example, last weekend I stayed in a hotel owned by a beer brewery (the family had owned it for over 1000 years!) and "borrowed" a cool pen and a seriously cool bottle opener.

I'm wanting to vacation in Amsterdam but I hear it can be dangerous for tourists. Has anybody been? Anyone know any places to visit or tips for the 1st time traveler?
I have been twice and I am a magnet for trouble yet I have only ever seen any kind of trouble once.
It can be dangerous but that is generally only to those buying "hard" drugs off street thugs in the Red Light District.
My advice to you, go! It is an amazing city, full of history and incredibly attractive sceneries. The people are, in the most part, friendly and always available...

A winner is someone who achieves their own goals!
For you or me that may be completing the race regardless of position (think marathon).
For a professional athlete that is normally to finish first, however this is not always the case!
A person may be competing just to "make up the numbers" in which case his/her goal could be to beat their own personal best. Alternatively, think...

It is, in the main part, true.
However there is an exception! That being when thinking about a small child that died for no reason. If you walk through a graveyard and see a tombstone with a 5yo child in the grave then it is quite possible to cry for the parents of that child or even for the child him/herself (based on the life he/she never had).

It depends on where you are paying tax. If you are employed in the UK and paying UK taxes then there is no tax return per se. You can do one if you choose and they are generally due some time after April (when the tax year ends).
If you are paying US taxes then I would assume your tax return is due at the same time as it would be if you were working in the US.

IF he is guilty then yes he should plead guilty. Especially if there are many witnesses. It is highly likely he will be found guilty anyway so might as well save the court time and money (not to mention himself) and plead guilty.
A guilty plea to ABH in the UK normally leads to a fine and maybe some community service.
A not guilty plea will normally lead to a long community service punishment...

Does santa exist?
He sure does. Just look at a small childs face when he/she sees Santa at your local shopping centre/xmas fair ect.
Does he exist in reality? No, not in the sense that he makes presents and delivers them around the world in 24 hours. But that does not remove the fact he exists in many peoples hearts.

Is visiting New York really that worth it? Maybe I'm just a pessimist or something, but I don't want to save up money to finally go there then have a bad experience.
I flew out there wife my wife and proposed to her at the top of the Empire State Building.
Was it worth the money it cost? In my opinion, and hers, and trying to ignore the engagement as much as possible, YES.
Would I go back? No. The reason is that I am the sort of person that likes to explore new areas, not revisit old ones. I have been to NYC, time to move on.
Would I recommend it...

Is sitting on the table while playing a shot a foul
I assume you are referring to snooker, pool or billiards.
In the official law of all these games and any similar games, the player MUST have at least one foot in contact with the floor when the shot is made. If this can be accomplished while he/she is sitting on the table then the shot is legal.

Have you ever misread an answer or question on answerbag...and regreted your comment or answer? How do you handle someone who will not let this go, and will troll your account because of it?
Sure, we all misread them occasionally. Some people will just ignore it and move on, some will give negative and others will leave a nasty comment.
I tend to be the latter one.
It has happened on quite a few occasions that I have said something and I have been in the wrong. Generally I admit it in a comment, edit if possible and move on. Normally people accept it as a simple mistake.

How do i play movie files that have extensions .avi.001. i have very confused. please solve this problem
Sounds like a .rar file to me.
I suggest googling .rar and finding a free de-ripper. There are loads around.
The 001 is a file number. Often when people rar large files they do so to transfer the files easily, therefore they make 100 or so smaller part files. You need all the parts for the file to be rejoined properly.

Why do scientist search for water in all planets to find living organism .Cant there be extra terrestrial species which does not need water to live?why is water so imprtant cant any other fluid fulfill the requirment?
Of course! Humans have never seen any kind of life other than that on out planet.
The reason scientists search for water is because all living organisms on this planet need water, so finding water could lead to life just like we know here on earth.

I have heard the term "gaydar" before, but never totally understood its meaning. What does this term mean exactly?
It is a term idiots use to say that there are gay people around.
Example:
2 "men" sitting in a pub having a couple of beers. One of them sees a gay couple walk in and says to the other...
"Do not look now, my gaydar is beeping".
It is kind of similar to radar, but aimed at detecting gay people.

Why do people say believing in A god is unlogical when they can not disprove god?
Believing in god (any number there of) is illogical due to the complete lack of evidence. There is absolutely no evidence for his/her/its existence what so ever.
It is logical to believe in something, if and only if, it has evidence to support it. Therefore, it is illogical to believe in god.

Edit: The Author is British, the book was first published in Britain under its correct name, however the publishers changed the name for the US market. I can only assume this is due to the religious extremisms in the US who would take the use of a philosophers stone type object offensively.

As for bonding with her, do not worry about that! The bonding will take place the second the girl is born.

What you do to one side of the equation is fine as long as you do the same thing to the other side.
In your example...

therefore...
3x + 4y - 4y = 8 - 4y
or
3x = 8 - 4y
The rest you can do yourself as practice :)

What steps do you take to end terrorism if your the us president?
It is impossible to completely stop terrorism.
However, to reduce the threat Obama would need to stop and reverse the world trend of hatred towards the US. One easy way to start this process is to let the UN do its job as an international police force, this includes actually paying your agreed annual contributions, trying to sort out all the corrupt people within the organisation, and stop...

How much ram and hard drive space d'you think my 12 year old would need on a laptop, just for surfing, you tube and msn plus some word docs for homework?
A simple system will be ok for his uses.
A bare minimum would be 40gig HD and 512MB ram. However, that would be a very slow system.
I would recommend going for at least 1GB RAM and 100GB hard disc.

Getting an error message with Firefox. I uninstalled it, ran a virus/spyware check and restarted my computer. I reinstalled Firefox and am getting the same message. My friend says it may be my registry but he's not sure. I can provide a screen shot! Help?
Use your default browser (probably Internet Explorer) to download a brand new firefox instaler file. Also google "ccleaner" and download that.
Run ccleaner and clear everything it suggests (its up to you if you wish to back it up when prompted, but it is a good idea to do so).
Run the new firefox installer.
Hope that helps.

Unfortunately you are not alone with these silly ideas.
Believing the US government was behind 911 is silly, they may have known about an immanent attack, but it was not their plan.
As for Iraq, they NEVER blamed Iraq for the attacks, Al Qaeda took the blame along with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

America used to be occupied by France, Spain and the UK. Each of those countries named cities and towns (and states) in their particular territory.
When the US won its independence they kept the town and city names. As such there are thousands of cities and towns ect with names inherited from the French, Spanish and British.

Importing supplies.
The majority of countries in the world have a sea boarder and most large imports are done via the sea.
An example: cars. If a company want to import 250 cars to a country it will be done by sea. However, if there is no coast then it will need to be imported by air or rail ect. Much more expensive.

Doing so means actually going through the hole pregnancy and the extreme pain that is child birth. Alot of woman are also very afraid that they will not be able to give up the child for adoption and take abortion as the easy way out.

Use a reference whenever you feel it is necessary. It is all about personal preference. As for limitations, the only one on the site is that of comment size and mostly, the size is sufficient to say what you need to say.

Where I come from it was perfectly normal to head to the dogs on a Thursday or Sunday evening and, being a free country, it was legal to gamble.

Who winds = KFC but then that does not exist where I live so maybe I am biased lol

I cannot receive an E mail from my daughter.
She can receive E mails sent by me.
How can I solve this problem?
Sounds like a "junk mail filter" problem.
There are two ways to solve this:
1. Check your junk mail, if you see the mail in there you should have an option to "add to safe list" or similar, doing this should solve the problem.
2. Open a new email account. If you both have hotmail accounts (for example) then there should be no problem receiving emails from each other...

The drinking age in America(or wherever you may be) is being disputed once again, some say if you can vote and risk your life for your country you ought to be allowed. First; What age do YOU think? Stay at 21, 18 or...? And; when could you legally?
I think any person should be allowed to do what he/she likes to do (legally ofc) as soon as he/she becomes a legal adult.
In the US you become an adult at 18, so you should be able to drink at 18.
A decent alternative is the one used in Scandinavia, the drinking age for beer and wine is 18 but for spirits it is 20. I personally disagree with this, but it seams to work here.

It depends, right now the UK and Germany have both done something similar (although obviously not on such a large scale).

Mac, or PC?
Why did you chose which one you chose? How long have you been either a mac, or a pc user. If you have recently switched to one from the other, why did you decide to do so?
It depends on your experience and needs.
Generally, as your asking a question like this, a Windows PC would be best. It is much easier to use and much cheaper than a Mac.
However, if you are going to do some video or music editing or graphical design in general, then a Mac is better.

I doubt it is that low. But the reason for them holding less positions is due to the fact they have only been able to hold those positions for the past 20 or 30 years. The situation is constantly changing and in 20 or 30 years time, I can see a much more even distribution of sex (and race for that matter) within companies.

Let say a=b
94a=94b
(100-6)a= (100-6)b
100a-6a=100b-6b
100(a-b)=6(a-b)
then 100=6
is it riht?
a = b right
94a = 94b right
(100-6)a = (100-6)b right
100a - 6a = 100b - 6b right
100(a-b) = 6 (a-b) WRONG
you need to do the same to one side of the equation as you do to the other.
100a - 100b = 6a - 6b is the correct rearrangement of the last equation.

How do I answer the following, Determine the solution of the following system of equations:
5x + y = 11 3x - 2y = 4
Take the first equation:
5x + y = 11
Submit 5x from both sides:
y = 11 - 5x
Now onto the second equation:
3x - 2y = 4
Add 2y and subtract 4 from both sides:
3x -4 = 2y
Now replace the y in the second equation with the y from the first equation:
3x - 4 = 2 x (11 -5x) = 22 - 10x
Add 10x and 4 to both sides:
13x = 26
Divide both sides by 13 gives:
x = 2

Why is there a speed limit of light & electro- magnitic waves ? 186000 mps is the accepted speed but what limits light speed to that? Is there a medium that light travels thru (dark matter maybe) that we cannot see or measure that restricts light?
The simple answer is ENERGY.
Light is made up of photons. These photons have a specific mass and a specific energy. Combine these with E=MC2(gamma) and you get the speed of light.

It depends on your idea of creationism.
If you believe a god like being designed everything to turn out the way it is now and the way it has been observed (ie big bang - galaxies - stars - planets - life...) then the logic is simply explaining what caused the big bang.
If, however, you believe god made the earth 6000 years ago exactly as it is today then you are talking about people who...
