Are "love triangles" the most common shapes or are there "love squares" and "love pentagons"?
Love triangles usually refer to one person being torn between loving "A" and loving "B", but there are other associated shapes within polyamory (where one does not have to be torn between two or more loves). The most common are the V and N forms. More information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyamory#Forms_of_polyamory

No. Firstly, someone has to do it. There's no getting around that.

And finally, it's expensive for the consumers because it's expensive for the funeral homes. It's not like, say, the furniture industry, where one family may buy their...

It may seem like it on the surface -- a more consumer-centric society, technology, etc. -- but they pay for those amenities. If I understand correctly, LCD screens have all their luminance coming from a single backlight, which is on, no matter what you're viewing. Therefore, there would be no difference in power used when viewing an all-white site or an all-black site via LCD.
However, CRTs do consume less energy when displaying black-background sites.
