He cheated on my mom when she was pregnant with me, and the woman he cheated with is my stepmother to this day. But, he's actually cheated on her before too, and they were separated for almost a year but ultimately got back together and are still together.

Yeah, maybe a little bit as far as I haven't turned out to be anything I'd intended to be, but I can say that there are times when I do enjoy life throroughly in a manner I'd imagined I would've when I was younger. I can't really say I expected to be settled down with two stepkids and one of my own on the way at my age, but I wouldnt necesarily call that an anticlimax.
