depo can be really really brutal. the idea of not dealing with a pill + no periods was very attractive to me. i didn't do any research at all, and i've regretted it for 8 years.
do the research, talk to your doctor, and by all means, utilize google. depo is very *strong* synthetic hormones that take a long time to clear your system and can cause permanent side effects. the...

I believe that women should have equal rights like men and be equal 50/50 by sharing the household and childcaring. i need a counter argument and refutation on my thesis statement. i need good convincing reasons( refutation)
a significant part of the household duties is earning an income. i'd say most men (whether their wives work or not) perform at least 50% of the household duties.
the feminist attitude tends to focus on women having to do all the home care and child care while the man runs off and enjoys the 'glories' of the career world as if it's a vacation. i can tell you from my...

Which breed of horse tend to have the longest life expectancy?
ponies, arabians, and smaller horses tend to live longer by genetics than larger animals. that said, the only horse breed i've really come across that ages faster than other breeds is the thoroughbred - and i believe this is mainly because of inbreeding and poor management when they're young. what we consider pampering is actually often cutting many years off of horses' lives.

Answer to:
What happens when you 'stop down' the lens?
when you 'stop down' a lens, you close the aperture (to a larger f number, or stop) and it lets in less light to the film or shutter plane. it also increases your depth of field, or the amount of area of the frame that is in focus.
| 2 people like this
Answer to:
Does the size of the aperture in a film camera affect how much the camera "sees"?
yes - the aperture in a camera (any camera - it's not exclusive to film) affects how much in the frame is in focus, and how much is out of focus. this is called 'depth of field'.

Why do people always associate gay and lesbian relationships with sex?? Why can't people comprehend gay/lesbian love?
because gay/lesbian relationships are of the romantic/erotic type. a man can love another man as a friend and it's not gay love. once you throw romance and sexual attraction/sex acts into the mix it becomes gay.
Answer to:
Why does God find homosexuality offensive and wrong? Most sins cause pain or hurt to other people, which is a logical reason for a loving god to condemn them. Why would a loving god condemn any sort of love?
because romantic love between two members of the same sex goes AGAINST God's ordained design for human beings. period. marriage between a man and a woman was the first institution God created - before the church, before the law, before anything. He holds it very sacred and takes it very seriously.

there are women around here that have way too much money and not enough responsibility in their lives. they seem to think they are the center of the universe, and that 'status' (and all that comes with) is everything - and if you do not have 'that' car, carry a $1000 handbag, and have just the right body type, you're somehow less than they are.

i think the biggest thing is practicing a certain amount of self control that you get out of the situation before it escalates to the point that you are no longer in control. say this after me: 'i can't talk to you right now.' let that become your mantra. when you say it, leave the room, go somewhere else - whatever you have to do to relax to the point where you can talk again....

eeeeehhhhh... do you cook nightly or get takeout? if you get takeout, i'd say do the kitchen first, switch to cooking and use the savings for the conservatory. i'd go for the kitchen first, but i cook in a 5 sq. foot half-kitchen with no space at all lol.. i dream of a large fridge, two freezers, dual ovens and an indoor grill.

yorkies have naturally slick and oily coats. it may just be something you have to deal with. it's unhealthy to bathe dogs too frequently because they need those oils to maintain their skin and coats.

as others have said, you never forget your first love. the 'what might have been' will always hang around a little - what's most important is to not dwell on those feelings or let it affect your marriage now. don't feel guilty or angry at yourself, it's a natural reaction - just move on.

Adults with children are only allowed two alcoholic drinks at JD Wetherspoon pubs in order to limit their stay. The company said it was "uncomfortable" with children being on the premises for long periods, do you think they are right or wrong?
pubs/bars aren't appropriate places for children. if there's a restaurant attatched, sure... but really, let alone inconveniencing the customers and pub is the secondary issue here. the main issue is the safety of kids who are either in cars with knackered parents or wandering the streets with them. that's never a good thing.

faith is, by definition, presumption. the apostle paul says that 'faith is the evidence of things unseen'. so in the strictest sense, yes, it is presuming something is true without what the world would define as tangible proof.

erm, i should add, for best fuel efficiency, try to combine errand trips. say for example, you need to go to a doctor's appointment one day, but you know you also need to go to the post office at some point... if they're on the same end of town, hit the post office after you see the doc, or vice versa. it saves a remarkable amount of gas, and time too.

i think so. what is the point of being a Christian (or hindi, or muslim, or buddha) if you don't believe it's the 'right' one? Christ said that you're either for Him or against Him.. there's no sitting on the fence. by not deciding to believe in Him you're effectually denying belief in Him. no middle ground there.

How to remove baby oil from a baby's hair?
baby shampoo or dawn... and please, if you must use oil on baby, use something like olive oil or another natural oil. baby oil is a petroleum derived product, and it's got more impurities than mineral oil, which is worse than motor oil when it comes to how well refined it is.

i would sit down with her and talk about her reasons why she thought she was ready, but sincerely encourage her towards abstinence. 15, imo, is too young for sexual relationships and the maturity they require, not to mention she'd be selling herself short on the joy of sharing sex with only one partner for life. and the joys of retaining her innocence until marriage.. simply because sex...

I have a problem with the book, "The Secret." Especially the video. I have never read or seen anything that bothered me in this sort of way. I'm a Christian, is that it? Does anyone else have any feedback?
generally, if it bothers you, don't read/watch it. it may be that the Holy Spirit is telling you that it's not good for you to indulge in that particular book, or it just may be your conscience telling you that the philosophy of the book is wrong. i doubt you'd be any worse off for not participating in that particular piece of literature/film.

Answer to:
Why do I get really drowsy and sleepy after I eat filling meals?
it's called food coma, and i believe it's caused by release of relaxing chemicals in the brain in addition to the blood flow being focused on the digestive tract to handle such a meal. certain foods counteract this, such as proteins like eggs, and others exacerbate it, like those that contain the amino acid tryptophan, which aids in the production of serotonin.

If you receive an invitation to a "surprise" baby shower. Why would a card of where the mother is registered for gifts be included with the invite? Also, this is baby number four.
moms register for gifts for the same reason brides do: to avoid getting something they won't use and to help anyone who's desiring to give a gift find something that won't be a waste of money. i love gift registries.. it takes some of the guesswork out of gift giving.

When I get out of the shower, I'm the cleanest object in my house. So why should I wash my towels?
towels build up dead skin cells that are exfoliated in the toweling off process, and they also will start to mildew (you can smell it even if you can't see it) if they aren't washed and dried in the dryer frequently. use the same towel for two weeks, and you'll notice the nap starts to get stiff with remaining body oils and dead skin cells, etc.

I see many women pull up their pants when they stand up, or tug on the back of their shirts when they reach out. If you continuously have to do that, do you think you should have worn a different outfit?
curvier women do have troubles with shirts riding up.. my biggest issue is finding jeans off the shelf that fit. very few stay up without cutting into my midsection.
movement causes clothes to get messed up on both men and women. i think it just happens more on women than men because we're not so straight.

Is it truely terrible to lose your virginity before married?
i think that yeah, it's wiser to wait until you're married. both for physical and mental health. Rode Hard and Put Away Wet, is it a compliment when used after an exciting sexual moment?
rode hard and put up wet generally means to be used/mistreated in a harsh way and then dumped by the wayside. it's nothing sexual, but comes from people who ride their horses into a solid lather and then put them into a stall without any grooming to help them be more comfortable. it's not a good thing.

So overwhelmingly, people think forgiveness can be done without contrition (see earlier post). If we can do it, does God do it?
God doesn't have to.
we are bound to forgive (especially if asked) regardless, because we are sinful and have trespassed upon others. it's a humility thing.
God, however, is perfect, cannot abide sin(it's against His very nature) and requires some form of atonement, and that atonement (Jesus Christ) is not accessible without contrition and the action of asking for the...

i second the counseling that other posters have suggested. it sure sounds like a failing in both parts. porn is not the answer... it's considered infidelity by many and you need to get your satisfaction from your wife. however, she also needs certain satisfactions from you. perhaps you should investigate *why* she's withholding sex and what you can do to solve the problem instead...

sorry it hurts, but maybe you should try and welcome the young man into your family. the age difference shouldn't matter either, they're only 3 years apart. if those are your only reasons to be displeased with him, then they're not great ones, honestly.

btw, 'feeling' ready doesn't mean you are. feelings lead us astray. you need to consider things from a neutral point of view.. feelings have very little perspective on what's actual reality and can skew our perspective of it. keep that in mind.

it depends on how they're behaved, i suppose, but generally, young children will be young children, and usually cannot appreciate the menu of a nice restaurant, so they should be left at home. there are alot of good restaurants that cater to families, but the finer restaurants should be saved for the mom and dad only dates, unless they're particularly well-behaved and quiet.

Why would God murder innocent people, children elderly, all the animals, and just safe same random dude named Noah? That sounds pretty F'ed up.
there's plenty undeniable evidence in creation, plus faith does come into play. He also showed Himself through His Son.
truthfully, even those who will not believe now, won't believe if He were to come down to this earth and scream, HEY I'M GOD! simply because they're so blind. they won't after He returns for His church. most people will just continually reject...

God killed off humankind becuase they became so depraved, that only one person, named noah, even thought of Him. people were so bad in noah's time that God regretted creating people in general. He did it to start afresh and allow humans and animals to start with a cleaner state.
it might seem screwed up to you, but God is God and He is sovereign over all we see. He understands far...

How much would a decent digital camera cost? I need to cover my butt to get another one since my dad wont get one for my birthday.
that depends on what you want to do with it... do you want to take snapshots for 4x6 prints or sharing on the web, or are you wanting to pursue some serious photography?
for snapshots/4x6 prints, most point and shoots will do. i recommend canon's elph or powershot line. they run between 100-500 clams.
for wanting to pursue serious photography, i recommend starting with the canon...

I'm 44, he's 21. We clicked and had feelings before anyone said their age. We can't find any problems with our relationship. Is this age difference that bad?
it's an enormous gap, and you may run into some maturity differences (i myself would have a hard time not thinking of him as a 'kid' if i were your age) but if you're prepared for the garbage you'll get from family and friends, and your maturity levels match, i don't see why it's bad at all. diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.

Is love really true when you are in your teenage years about 13 or 14?
i'm not sure.
i don't think, in most cases, that it is though. it may *feel* true... but it's not. because you don't really learn for real what love is until you've had to stick with someone for a long time.
mostly what you experience in early teen years is lust and infatuation. infatuation is a heady, intense feeling that causes people to sometimes make...

My two year old son will not sleep in his bed I have tried everything any advice?
well, consider why he won't stay in his bed. most children that young will come into their parents' bed for security. they wake up in the middle of the night and get scared, so they come in to mommy and daddy's room for comfort. there's nothing wrong with that. when he's older, i might be a bigger deal, but for now, he's only two, and it's a part of...

The skin on my hands and lower arms is red, very dry, and flaky and it hurts. I've tried lotions and hand crèmes but they only make it hurt worse. Can I try something else, or make it go away?
it sounds like eczema, which is an autoimmune condition usually aggravated by allergies. you can try steroid creams, hydrocortisone, etc, and it's good to explore one's diet and get allergy testing done too. if you can find the culprit and eliminate it, it will make your skin much happier.

Do you think leashes on children is right?
i think that they're a blessing and a curse.
they're a blessing for safety concious parents like us, who simply want an extra insurance policy in highly public places such as amusement parks to be sure our enthusiastic little boy doesn't wander off or get snatched from us.
they're a curse in that they enable lazy parents to be even lazier. it kind of irks me to see...

What's your opinion of this statement: If a man works a full-time job to support his wife and himself, no kids, and his wife does not work at all, he's within his rights to expect his home to be clean and a hot meal being prepared when he gets home.
managing a nest for a childless couple is not difficult or demeaning. it's actually the sweeter end of that deal.. because it takes about three hours per day on average to keep a home clean and maintained and make sure that food preparations are made when it's just two people (the responsibilities and time increase significantly when children are introduced into the picture), so the...

you need to call her supervisor and complain. it's out of bounds for a healthcare worker to make comments on your personal situation... you're over the age of 18 and it's your decision what to do with your child. it's one thing for a doctor to advise (and for someone over 18, it would still be unprofessional, unless he knew you, etc) but a completely other thing for a...

If I had sex with my girlfrield 3 days before she was going to get her period, and then she missed it, what are the chaces that she's pregnant?
still pretty dang good. a girl can get pregnant any time between ovulation and the end of her period. it just depends on when she ovulated and when you have sex and the longevity of that particular egg.
best advice: birth control of some sort. her on the pill, and you using a condom. or better yet, don't have sex. that's the ultimate pregnancy preventer.

If we can agree that some ethnicities seem more prone to obesity than others, do you personally believe it is genetics that causes this, or their culture? Or both?
i think it's both. for example, hispanics and american indians (the latter of which i am one)... native american heritages tend to have squatter builds and 'thriftier' metabolisms, and their high-fat, high-starch traditional diets contribute to syndrome x and type 2 diabetes. we simply don't have the metabolic collateral to handle the corn, wheat, etc day in and day out....

My 15 year old intelligent, self confident grand daughter is vain. She won't pass any reflection of herself w/o remarking how pretty she is. She is pretty, but she is obsessed with peoples looks or lack of. Is this a phase or is she just shallow.
it could be a phase, or it could be the development of a severe character flaw... the only way to get through it is to try to instill some humility in her, regardless of where it stems. i think most teenage girls are hypersensitive about looks, and can get a big head if it's encouraged.

hormonal b/c messes with your body's natural hormonal balance. it can take a few cycles before your body resets itself and returns to normal, until then, try to eat as many cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts, kale, etc) because they help remove excess estrogen from your system, and that will help your body come back into a normal cycle more quickly. red raspberry...

Which diaper pail works the best? My son is 1 and his poop is stinkier and the diaper pail we have isnt doing a good job at masking the odor.
we just toss the diapers (from a 2 and a half y/o boy and a 11 mo old girl) into the kitchen trash. it's easier that way and it gets taken out daily instead of sitting. the really stinky ones might get wrapped in a garbage bag before going into the trash.

what kids want and what is best for them are often two very disparate things.
your children will learn from their father's example. if you have girls, they will grow up expecting to be treated abusively, and will never know what real love and respect from a man looks like. if you have boys, they will grow up thinking that that is the norm and how they should treat women. it's...

it's rarely my last resort... most often my first. prayer is a constant in my life.. i don't feel the need to 'save' God's power for the very last to the point that i collapse under the emotional weight of carrying life on my own. He means to be a constant Companion, not a foul-weather friend.

if i were in your situation, i would seek counseling. emotional infidelity is the precursor (in most cases) to sexual infidelity. but the fact that he stayed shows that he is willing to push though the problem.
what *should* happen, however, is counseling, and lots of it. he needs to admit his wrong, but truthfully, you probably have areas that need work as well. it's not just his...
