Just the other day I attended the funeral of a friend who died before her time because of lung cancer. You're at pretty high risk. Please try to stop smoking. It is NOT easy - but you'll live longer and feel better once you're past the worst of it. However bad it feels to go...

My family's speech was pretty unmarked - what's referred to as "broadcast American English" - basic middle-American. There's no reason to change. I know a few people who have adopted an accent they somehow felt was more classy. They sound absurd.

Quite a few people don't associate "Aryan" with Hitler. People who get to know you will soon associate your name with all your good qualities and will forget any association they might have had between Hitler and Aryan. Quite a few people know that "Aryan" goes WAY...

London, Canterbury, York, Chichester, Lake District, Salisbury, Bath, Winchester, and lots of other places. Nearly froze to death at Hadrian's Wall in June. England is a GREAT place to visit; so too all of GB and Ireland. Scotland is fabulous.
