Definitely regional. Everyone on my mom's side of the family pronounces it "Warshington", as well as saying they're going to "warsh" their hands with some "warter". They're from the area around D.C. -- Maryland and Virginia.

I don't think there is ever a "correct" spelling of a term or place name when you're using a different alphabet than the original language of the term. You have to resort to a phonetic approximation, which is then up to interpretation, which tends to change over time....

Two Beef Soft Taco Supremes and a Cheese Quesadilla. I used to get Cinnamon Crispas, but those styrofoam things they now have are awful. I was stunned when I went to a Taco Bell in North Carolina and was met with a blank stare when I ordered a quesadilla -- they'd never heard of one!

You may have interference on your phone line which is affecting the speed. It may be in a range that your ear cannot hear, so just listening to the phone line may not let you know whether or not there's a problem. You should have someone come and test your phone lines (especially if...
