How often do you go downtown where you live? I suppose we have a downtown in our closest cities, but it's over 30-40 miles away in any direction and quite sprawling. I rarely need to go downtown in any of those places as the surrounding area has the stores I shop at or the friends to visit. And the cost of gas keeps my away and doing things more locally. So I'd say if you mean really downtown, downtown, maybe 1-2 times a year, if that many.

If you mean like in a flea circus, the insects aren't trained, they are simply used for whatever movement they can do. They are attached to something, by wires or glue and then they do what comes naturally, not trained. Some people have claimed that they place a glass over a flea until the flea learns to reduce it's jump height, but it's still not really trained to do a trick.

Without regular, indoor plumbing, what kind of toilet would you use? We used to have an outhouse back in California in case of emergencies when the power would go out and I'm okay with using those. I prefer a composting type toilet and they can work with solar if they need a bit of power. I find the use of gallons of water to wash away our feces such a waste of resources so we've looked into alternate ways for quite awhile.

I"m happy, could be happier as my husband just left for work and we'd both rather he was home, but I"m ready to start my day, looking forward to getting things done, which always makes me happy. Looking outside now and then makes me smile, as do the funny things the cats do as I work around them. I ignore my aches and pains and stay pretty positive :)

Can one easily see a Mosquitoe with the naked eye? If you mean a mosquito, then yes, easily, since they are good sized. I can see hundreds of them at once, flying around our pond in the spring. If you mean mosquitoe, as in their toes, I don't think they have them, but if they did, I doubt if I could see it.

They can suffer from illness, they get dietary deficiencies, they get cancer, they can die from eating poison. How else would people kill rats or use them in labs to test drugs?

You have to do it slowly, keeping one in a small room and letting them smell each other under the door for a few days. Then switch the cats and let the original cat smell the things in the room where the new cat was, it's litter box, it's bed and the new cat can leave it's scent...

How many outfits of clothes do you take when you travel? Couldn't use your poll as it depends on the length and what the weather will be. If it's just a weekend and no formal or dressy events planned, I'll just take 2 complete changes, maybe long and short sleeves in case of weather change. For the longest trips, 1-3 weeks, I won't take whole outfits, but many separates so I can change up with one more formal outfit if it's not all casual.

If he is full grown and mature he doesn't need to eat more than one meal. Feed him in a dish only and make him wait before you place the dish down on the ground. There are at times certain things, mostly music that I enjoy loud for a brief moment, but for the most part, I prefer quiet. But I didn't plan ahead for things that couldn't be stored outside with the extreme cold and really do need to be indoors where it at least stays above freezing, damp AND away from mice. Have you given up your land line in lieu of cell phones? Can't do that as we don't get cell reception here. To use a cell phone here you have to get in your car and drive about 1/2 - 3/4 mile down the road and hold your phone high and find enough bars to talk.

We couldn't load it up easily whole so we shattered it carefully and then hauled it to the dump. I was so sad to see that window go.
