Give yourself a few minutes to feel foolish and resolve to never do something like that again. There's always the option of letting him clean his own house and/or kicking him to the curb. I live alone and I'm not a fan of housework, but I pay a cleaning lady to do it. I think he is taking advantage of you and then showing a lack of appreciation for your efforts. You deserve better.

Just heard a guy on TV say that if you are a small business, when you show prospective customers through your warehouse you should have tons of empty boxes stacked high there, representing inventory. He says it's good business. What do you say?
I think it's dishonest, simplistic thinking. With 'just in time' inventory systems, it is possible to let suppliers and transportation companies do your warehousing for you and still be able to provide customers with whatever they need. In addition, it is a wasteful method of using capital.

I dont drive and need to transport my gear and canoe from Vancouver island BC to the Missouri river (possibly great falls Montana), any suggestions on how to get it all there?
You could consider shipping it via truck (Yellow Freight, UPS, Roadway, etc.). Ask them to deliver it on a certain day to a certain location. You would probably have to crate the canoe. Weigh the stuff and measure the size and call for an estimate on the freight charges. Freight charges could be rather expensive. It might be cheaper to rent a canoe when you get to your destination.

My 4 year old daughter is nervous about going to junior kindergarten. What are some things I can do to relieve some of her stress?
Many schools have an orientation before school begins. The students meet the teacher, get a ride on a school bus, and look around the classroom and the building. If your school has something like this, make sure you attend with your daughter. If they don't, ask the school if you can visit and at least show her the building.

Does HUD really offer grants to buy homes without having to repay them.
Some grants are given to cops and teachers. The requirement is that they have to live in certain neighborhoods (usually disadvantaged ones) for at least 5 years. 50% of the purchase price is forgiven. Check with a government HUD site--there may be other grants that I don't know about.

Why do I have trouble ending a relationship that I know needs to be ended. I always try to convince myself that things will get better but they never seem to.Some people can just end it and walk away, why cant I?
It could be because it is harder to walk away and deal with the temporary loneliness, the stress of dating, new relationships, etc, Sometimes people (including myself) stay in a bad relationship because it is just easier.

No. The handicapped tag is valid in any state just as the license plate is valid in any state. I have used a hang tag in other states with rental cars or with family cars. The tag applies to the person in the car rather than the car itself. You must also have a handicapped ID card in your wallet.

My husband's younger brother's wife disrespects both of us because she is smarter and more capable. Her job is better than both of us. She even told me that her husband is better than mine. She is competitive. What should I react
Do not let her intimidate you. She has a better job--so what--she's fortunate. Maybe she had more advantages in life in terms of education, money, etc. Don't enter into the competition but don't let her insult you either. I have a good job and advanced degrees, but so what? I got there by working on the docks, in the trucking business, and as a laborer. My parents paid for a lot...

Does what your children have to say about a person you're dating determine you staying in the relationship or do you override what they say and stay with them anyway?
Yes. My three daughters seperately all told me the woman I was with wasn't for me. They are all married and the youngest is 29. The comment that got to me was that my relationship with my S/O has affected my relationship with them. They felt I wasn't treated well and I was verbally and physically abused. After I some reflection, I dumped this lady after 8 years.

In the seafood business, monkfish is often substituted for lobster and skate (stingray) wings punched into circles is often substituted for scallops. Shark is often sold for swordfish. Unless you really know what you're looking at, it's hard to tell. The substituted species doesn't have to look like the real thing when it is whole--the fillets, etc. just have to taste the same.

Answer to:
Have you ever been homeless or close to it? Or helped them in anyway?
Yes. I was homeless for about a year after my divorce. I lived in motels and stayed with friends. It was very painful. I have never been treated worse in my life than during that time. I have a Masters' Degree and I now make a good living--back then I was broke. I help homeless people whenever I can.

Yes, I have but only when I have been upgraded. As someone mentioned, I don't feel its worth it on flights of 2-3 hours. In the USA, you can book what is known as a 'Y up' coach ticket--then you can pay for upgrade if you like at a lower price, but the ticket costs more than a discount coach ticket.

I tried to move out when I was 19. I had money and it was a safe, close place. My parents screamed they would disown me and other horrible things until I was traumatized and didn't leave. I was always the "perfect" child, why did they do this?
They love you and they were hurt by your leaving, It's a little selfish, but parents can be that way sometimes. In addition, they probably want to protect you. It's called love, mostly.

HELP!!!!!!!!! There is a squirrel in my parent's attic... How do we capture it ourselves so we can humanely get him out?
I have used Hav-a-Heart traps with peanut butter as bait. After you remove them, you should plug up whatever hole they used to get in. Because they can chew wood, heavy duty screening should be used in addition to whatever repairs you need to make. Make sure they are all out before you make repairs--otherwise they will chew through anything to get out.
