The other night i went to a Friday the 13'th party with a a few friends i ended up sleeping with 1 of my close and very cute female friends that night but I couldn't get me "drill sergeant" to stand at attention...... Why is this? should i be alarmed?
I'm alarmed whenever someone calls their penis something like "drill sergeant."
I wouldn't be worried about this from a medical standpoint if this was an isolated incident, especially if you were drinking etc. If you're worried, though, go to a doctor.

I'm looking to buy an external hard drive to store about a hundred gagillion music files and photos. Which one isn't going to die on me and lose all of my precious data?
I'm a fan of Western Digital and Seagate. But even those can die. Especially when you have children who knock them over. Ask me how I know. :)
My dad has a Western Digital external which he hooks up periodically, backs his stuff up, then puts back in the box and in the trunk of his car. That works for him.

When ripping songs off a CD onto my itunes, how can i ensure that the Song title and the album are ripped as well... not just Track 01?
The only way I know of is to go through, right-click on each track and choose Info, and put in the Album, Song Title, etc info.
Normally when you put a disc in, iTunes goes out to the Internet and finds the album info out there. But if the computer doesn't have Internet access, or the album isn't found in the database, you have to do it manually.

What I would do is pull the hard drive out of that computer and put it in another computer as a secondary drive to back it up. Even better, put that drive in an external USB (or Firewire or eSATA or whatever) enclosure and connect that to another computer to back it up.
Another option is to boot that computer from a bootable CD to back it up. There are a number of Linux LiveCD's that...

If you're asking if you screwed up the chance of a relationship by having sex on basically the first date, I'll say no. I don't think that really has any effect on things.
A guy I used to work with told me once "Yeah, I met this chick once, we went out for drinks, she told me she was only interested in sex, no relationship or anything. I married her."

What causes epileptic seizures
From Wikipedia, "An epileptic seizure is a transient symptom of excessive or synchronous neuronal activity in the brain."
I interpret this as a complicated way of saying that things in the brain go haywire, and a person has a seizure - either too much or too little brain activity.
Note that one does not necessarily need to have epilepsy to have an epileptic seizure.

I think the opposite approach is better if you're looking for a long-term relationship. The goal should not be to conform yourself to the person you happen to be talking to and try to force yourself to be compatible even if they're not right for you. The goal should be to put who you are and what you're looking for out on the table right away so that if they're not right,...

No, there's no way you can ensure he doesn't become a scary person. You can't control him. At best you'd be able to manipulate some of his actions for a while, until resentment built up.
You can encourage him not to drink, at least not so much that he's giving up control. Let him know it scared you. That alone may be enough to make him rethink things.

I took the filter off of my window a/c unit and the whole thing is basically one big chunk of ice. How can I keep it from doing that? I don't understand how it doesn't blow very cold but it's got ice in it.
An A/C guy explained it to me once, saying that it can be caused by the air pressure, not just the temperature of the air. Removing the filter may have altered the airflow enough for it to happen. Or it was blowing cold for a while but then it iced up, air couldn't move properly anymore, and it started blowing hot again.

What age did you move out of home? was it alone or with some one? Did you rent or buy? Were your parents happy about it?
Moved out & went to college at 18. My parents were still paying for everything though until a couple years later when I got my own apartment. I'm still renting almost 11 years later.
Not sure if my parents were necessarily happy about it, both of my older brothers had moved out before I was even born, so I think they just saw it as natural progression.

I didn't know it was. But, maybe because they make hiring US workers so difficult that businesses are forced to go overseas or go out of business. They make products that ARE created in the US more expensive.

On my Windows XP home, there are always 15+ "processes" under "Administrator" running in the background. Is there any way to stop them without CTRL-ALT-Delete-ing every 10 minutes?
Start, Run, Msconfig.
This is a very powerful tool, so use it at your own peril:)
On the Startup tab, you can uncheck anything currently set to start up automatically and when you reboot, it won't run (unless something else notices it's not running and starts it). You can also look through your services and see if there are anything you can disable or set to Manual start-up.

She loves to sit on my lap and hold hands and kiss me. Needless to say, I get aroused down there when she does this. Might she get wierded out? Or do girls expect it?
It all depends on her, she may get a little weirded out, but it's something she's going to have to get used to if she's going to be getting close to you or any guy. She may really like that she has that effect on you.

Walmart is a big chain, they sell clothing, housewares, electronics, many (very few in my area) are grocery stores as well. Why do people boil lobsters alive? Does the suffering of them make it taste better?
Lobster spoils quickly. You can kill them immediately before boiling (Google it, basically you stab them in the head with a knife), but if you do it too much before the meat will go bad.
And I would think that damaging the shell would also ruin the meat, which is why you only stab the head.

How do you decide your pet's name is going to be?
Our cats got Star Wars names, so my wife and I just kept throwing names out until one sounded right. So we currently have Talon and Beru. Winter and Biggs have new homes. The only feline exception to this was Pippin, who was insane, and is now in some weird cat-only no-human-contact place. He was scared to death of people.
Our dog, we thought at the time was an Aussie Shepherd, so we...

Mail order? No.
We have ordered steak through something called Abundant Harvest Organics, though. It's a service we pay a flat fee for every week, then on Saturday we go down to a pick-up location where we pick up a big box of fresh produce - whatever's in season, all organic. All that to say that you can add things on each week - a particular type of fruit, grains, whatever,...

At my church there’s a coffee shop and bookshop. Would Jesus be angry about business being done in church like he was about the temple?
Are the coffee shop and bookshop placed in such a way that one must walk by them in order to get to the church?
Do the coffee shop and book shop people call out to passers by trying to sell their stuff?
Does the money raised by these things go directly to the church?
If they're not turning the place into "a den of robbers" then I think these things are acceptable.

I wear it pretty much all the time. Any time I do take it off I worry that I'll lose it.
During our engagement I wore my ring on my right hand. On 9/11 I was sitting around a table talking to several coworkers (we were at a trade show of sorts) and absently took it off to fidget with it. Left it right there on the table and realized it about 30 mins later, never saw it again. Had to...

My boyfriend doesn't believe that condoms work. Doesn't want to have sex anymore because he thinks I'll get pregnant. Says he also doesn't know how he morally feels about sex before marriage. How do I get him to have sex with me? haha
Well if you want to just stay with him without the sex for a while and see if he changes his mind, that's fine, but if he's not sure he feels right having sex then you shouldn't try to "get him to." Respect his feelings, or if you can't, move on.

I think we would be better off just learning to really and deeply communicate with each other at work, and valuing each other, rather than always finding the means to cut costs, be more efficient and be more effective. Do you agree?
What you're talking about might make a company great to work for, but if the costs are out of control, people aren't being efficient, etc, then the company will likely fail.
Find a way to do both, then write a book about it. You'll be rich.

Since you just took a comment on another answer and made it into a question, I'll post the reply I posted to your comment:
He didn't. You're taking a very human moment of his and totally making it into something it isn't. Jesus COULD have called the hosts of heaven down to save him but did not. Jesus DID ask that if 'this cup' could pass him BUT God's will...

Depends on the campus. When I lived on campus it was cool, I had a roommate & we got along, the dorm itself was fun too. Not having to drive to class every day probably saved me a lot of gas money.

What do I have to do to copy all my music files in my notebook onto a 16 GB USB flashdrive? Can you advice me how to do it ? If possible all at once? OP System is Vista.
If all of your music is in one folder (like 'Music' or 'My Music' then it's pretty easy.
Method 1 is to just drag the entire folder to your flash drive.
Method 2 is to find your music folder, Right-click (the right mouse button instead of the left one) on it and choose 'Copy.' Then go to your flash drive, right-click on it and choose 'Paste.'...

Can an employer make an exempt employee take a lunch as oppose to leaving early or coming in late?
In CA, an employee has to take a lunch after 5 hours unless they go home after the 6th. This is state law, and an employer can get in trouble if their employees aren't taking lunches, even if it's their own choice. Because the employee can later claim that their supervisor asked them to do it.

My car is 10 years old. It is in good condition and has been serviced regularly. Should I consider selling it before things start to go wrong with it and get a newer one or keep it until it dies?
What's the mileage like? Consider driving it into the ground, but estimate what kind of car payment you would have if you went out and bought one. Bank that money. Then when it does start giving you issues, you ought to have a nice little down payment saved up.

Cure for cancer or cure for AIDS, which would you rather have first and why?
Cancer. I'm fairly sure it affects more people. Also a part of me has less sympathy for the people with AIDS because for the most part, people get it by doing something they should know better than to do. Sure, certain cancers can be the same way (such as smokers having lung cancer), but there are also many people who get cancer by no fault of their own.

I do not have a cell phone. I am thinking about getting one. Do I need unlimited text messaging? Isn't it easier to just call someone on the cell phone rather then typing a text message? Why or why not?
The way the cellular plans where I work are, there's a certain fee per text message. I think it's like 50 cents or a dollar per message. But if you pay a flat $5/month you get something like 300 per month. So we add that text plan to anyone who uses it, but most don't.

Answer to:
Can you go to a mall and not buy anything?
Easily. I usually avoid the mall at all cost though. When I do go, it's to get something or a few somethings. I go in, get what I need, and get out. If they don't have what I was looking for, I go.

What irritates you the most when you take your car to a dealership for service?
We don't do the dealership. When we bought my wife's first car she really wanted to take it to them for the first check-up, it was only something like 10,000 miles and they tried to tell her she needed her brake pads replaced (I told her no).
Over a year later we took her car into my regular mechanic. I asked him if the pads needed replacement. He said they didn't need to...

Why aren't we importing doctors who are willing to work for less?
I'll ignore the quality of doctors we'd get that way & just point out that its not the doctor's salary that makes medical care so expensive. Tests are expensive, pharmaceuticals are expensive. The doctor's salary is a drop in the bucket.

How do you stop SIDS?
I'm not sure there's any way to stop it. But once upon a time I did some research on this. There are countries where there's no such thing as SIDS - it just doesn't happen. They're places where parents don't see a need to bottle feed children, and put them in a crib in another room at night. Babies are breast-fed, and kept in bed with mom & dad until...

Assuming I was going to work. Otherwise I'd wing it...either go with my breath as-is, or buy a toothbrush and toothpaste, or bum some gum off someone.

Open all the windows, turn on every fan in sight, and clean it out.

Do you think reasearchers should find another treatment for heartworms instead of using deadly arsenic-based injections?

Arsenic is used to treat cancer.

Because she's scared of getting in trouble especially since she's new. I'm also going to take a wild guess and say she's young and inexperienced in the work world. She needs to be sat down, explain to her that:
a) she's not fired (unless she is)

An html or htm file is just a text file with html code in it. So you might have an index.html which is the first thing people see when they go to your site. Then if you have another page, say, a "Contact Me" page you'll need another file. For example, contact.html, then link to contact.html from index.html.

This may be a silly question but I'm going to ask nonetheless. When taking medication, how does the body know where to take it?
It's not a matter of the body knowing what to do with it, but what the drug/herb/whatever is and how it acts on the body. If you take some ibuprofen or something, it dulls pain anywhere - it doesn't matter if it's a headache, toothache, or sore knee. Or all 3.

Is it a crime to dial 911 by mistake?
No, but if it happens often there will be fines. Where I used to work, apparently some people had a bad habit of fat-fingering when dialing a phone number. They'd press 9 for an outside line, then start dialing 1 + area code, but they'd hit the 1 twice. Then they'd panic and hang up.
After this happened several times (without my knowledge), the company was told to do...

If the bible is the inerrent word of god, why is so much of it unclear and open to interpretation?
Mostly because we're not reading it in the original languages, because of culture differences between then and now, and because it was originally written for people who DID understand that culture and language..
Example of the culture thing...most of us know the parable of the prodigal son. Jesus told this story to his disciples. Jesus didn't have to describe just how shameful...

Is it retarted to wait to have sex til ur like twenty? im fifteen and am waiting for it stressfully!!!
Out of curiosity...why stressfully? I know there's a lot of pressure to have sex, but looking back, I really don't understand why. Having sex does not make you any more mature. To me it seems so much more worthwhile to, at a minimum, find someone you WANT to have that kind of intimacy with, someone you love and who loves you back. Waiting until marriage is all the better. Having...

Document Management is a way to store electronic copies of documents so they can be pulled up on a computer. At my company, we scan hundreds of documents each day and they are stored in a database so they can be retrieved later. The originals are stored in a box for a few years and then destroyed.
Workflow Management, at least the way we use it, is a way to manage those documents and move...

I'd be in favor of a higher sales tax in lieu of income tax. Just tax me once, when I spend it, and not when I receive it, or give it to someone else, or whatever. I'd also feel better knowing that people who get paid 'under the table' are still getting taxed when they buy things.

If you don't define a namespace then each time you use a function, object, whatever you have to tell it what namespace it's in. For example, if you have a line in a program using cout:
cout << "Hello world!n";
That will most likely fail if you haven't included that namespace somewhere. You could also do it this way, without defining it:

My 19 month old Godson accidentally hung himself to death about a month ago, on the draw-chain for the blinds. Does any one else know of this happening to other young children?
Not blinds, but I recently saw an article about Mike Tyson's little girl, I think she was 4...having something similar happen with a power cord.

Do you like being on a boat?
Never met a boat I didn't like. Been in rowboats, canoes, speed boats, cruise ships, and others.
My brother's wife's family has a cabin in New York on a lake where no motorized boats are allowed. Always loved rowing around - fishing, or just relaxing. Peaceful and a workout to boot.

Has this month been hard on you?
It has, but at the same time, it's been good because we're making progress. We moved from a horrendously expensive apartment to a much more affordable apartment to free up money so we can get in to a house. Of course, moving is expensive, and everybody wants a piece when you do it. So we're still trying to take care of all of those expenses, but once we do we'll be in a...

The first I vividly remember was when I was 5. My sister, 14, died of leukemia. I didn't understand it, I asked my parents when she'd be back. Now that I'm older and have a son & a daughter myself, I can't imagine how hard that must have been for them.
She was diagnosed at 2½ years old. Doctors said she'd only make it about 6 months, she lived another...

"If the barn needs paint..."
I love the way my wife looks with no makeup. She only wears it occasionally. Some women seem to need it more than others. But it could just be what I'm used to - if I was used to seeing someone in makeup all the time, then I might be surprised when I saw her without it.

How can we put ourselves in other people`s shoes if they don`t wear the same size?
Fortunately I wear a size 16 shoe (US, Men's), so most people should have no problem putting themselves in my shoe - it will likely be loose, but that's OK. I on the other hand can't do so except with a select few, most of which are professional basketball players.

Why do whites always cry about reverse racism being so high but when minorities show them how many more white racist groups(kkk, neo nazis, etc) there r any other race, they say it's only a minority of racist whites? why the discrepeancy? it does't fit
There's no such thing as reverse racism, there's just racism. I'm not sure who's "crying" about it but judging anyone because of the actions of a small group of members of their race is wrong, regardless of what race they are.

What do you think of couples that swing?
It makes me wonder. I've known people in situations where one partner wanted to do it and the other just went along with it, figuring if they didn't then they'd just get cheated on, as if it's any different. The people I've known that have been into that eventually divorced - but nowadays most couples divorce so I guess you can take that with a grain of salt.

+Okay last month i had my period then not even 3 weeks later i had another one now its almost the end of a new month and i have not had my period yet.Did the second one of last month count 4 this month
You know that the frequency of a period has nothing to do with the calendar month right? You should expect a period 30 days, give or take, from the end of your last one. If you've gone longer than what's normal for you, you should get a pregnancy test and/or see a doctor.
Especially if you've been sexually active.
Especially if it was unprotected sex.

How come some people refer to aluminum foil as TIN foil? There's no tin in aluminum foil.
Because it used to be made of tin, then around WWII it was replaced by aluminum foil. I'd bet it's mostly older people (50+) who still call it tin foil, or people who picked it up from those people.

He has to want to, but you could try taking a cooking class together. Even if you don't really need the education, I know there are places that do "couples" cooking classes that I hear are pretty fun.

What Hero from Marvel/DC, who has NOT had their own film, deserves their own film?
I was going to say Silver Surfer - he was in a movie but it wasn't his own - but it looks like there's one scheduled for 2012. Guess I wasn't the only one thinking it.
My favorite characters were always Ghost Rider, Wolverine and Punisher, who have all had movies - though I don't think any of the Punisher attempts have been very successful.
