Answer to:
My husband thinks that people who do not eat the butt ends of the bread are spoiled. Do the majority of people really eat the butt end of bread or is it really just the suppsedly overdulged few of us who don't?
I understand his thoughts about being spoiled for not eating the ends of a loaf. My parents made me eat it. I guess it is because some of us have enough food. If we were really hungry, we would eat them. I have been hiking on a long trip and would have loved to have the butt end of a piece of bread. When I am at home, we do what everyone else does, find another use for it.

How many people in your home have their own computer?
Thanks. I have updated in late 2007 and am enjoying the new computer. One of my adult daughters has a lap top and I love the freedom it gives, but I hate the fact that the touch pad is hard to use. I guess I still like the old mouse.

What do you buy from the grocery store when you have very little to spend and want to make a good meal?
We have little money and tomorrow we will be eating beans and cornbread. I think that potatoes and romaine lettuce would be a good buy. You can use potatoes in a variety of ways and you can make a salad. Also, carrots, if you like them are good for you and will make the salad more appealing. Spaghetti is a cheap and tasty meal.

I've been ready. I am a Braves fan, not because I saw them on the "super station". You may be old enough to remember when TBS was called the super station? I used to work at Fulton-County Stadium and still like the braves after all these years. By the way, I came to a Reds game in the old stadium. Looked just like ours. Have you been to the new stadium in Cincinnati?

Just a thought. If circumstances on earth changed after the flood that would allow rainbows, could circumstances change on other planets that would also allow rainbows. Your question would seem to assume that a change on another planet could not have happened at the same time as on earth. Why do we still bother to explain something to people who would not listen anyway?
3 reasons. First you must care if you are trying to explain something to someone. Because you care, you do it. Secondly, we know that sometimes a person does not immediately listen, but later on the "light" may come on in their head and they will get it. Finally, we don't always evaluate the listener to know that all we are doing is throwing pearls before swine.

Its given a lot of names as you can see in all of the answers you have been given. If you are thinking about installing it in your home, do it. It adds value to your home and can distinguish it from other homes in your neighborhood that are for sale. It also hides some of the flaws in the sheet rock between the wall and the ceiling.

This is a newly coined phrase that marketing focus groups have determined should be asked to a customer based on surveys. It does sound better to me than "Can I Help You?". Have you ever been horseback riding? Fun experience or worst thing you have ever done?
Yes, recently took my daughter who begged and begged to go. We slowly rode for 45 minutes and I hurt for about 2 hours afterwards. I gained a new respect for those who rode horses at full gallop in the old western movies.

I think if you are worried about it all the time, move the gun out of the house. If it is placed where they cannot get to it, like mine are, then I don't worry about it. I use mine for target practice, just like some people use bowling to have fun. I would use another method of self protection if someone broke in anyway. If I was walking on an icy sidewalk with bags of groceries, and fell down in front of you, would you laugh?
First I would hurt inside as though I had fallen myself. Then I would help you scoop up your cracked eggs and other belongings, help you to your vehicle or drive you home. Then as your home or apartment faded into the rear view mirror, I would laugh. Unless of course if you are laughing when you fall, then the previous narrative would be void.

I would like to know, in 2008, how there are still racist people in this country. The Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964...over 40 years ago. We've made LOTS of progress, I know, but it just seems like there are still so many racists today.
It is primarily learned from parents. My grandparents were racist, but my parents did not share those thoughts and thus they broke the cycle. That's typically how it's done.

If two people love each other so very much, but they are unhappy because they dont get along... but they both dont want to seperate because they love each other so much. Is it worth breaking up, or stay in a loving relationship that doesnt get along.
I think they should stay together. True love between 2 people does not come easy. As for getting along with each other, this is often based on circumstances, such as finances, work etc. Circumstances change and that might make life more enjoyable with this person. Also you can do what we did, we sat down and talked about what the other person is doing to bug us and it helped.

Because manufacturing jobs have been and are still moving out of the US. And another reason is that the US is moving to a "Do-it for Me" society from a DIY society. You can actually make a lot of money doing things for people that they are unwilling or unable to do for themselves.

Why do people tell you to 'calm down', when you're perfectly calm and just voicing an opinion?
I think this happens for 2 reasons. First, you can communicate over the internet or on AB without actually coming face to face with a person, so people are more inclined to be more bold in their statements. Second, communication means that I convey an idea to you and you totally understand what I am communicating and what I mean. When you send an e-mail or an AB answer you can read only what...

Im sure this will be rejected since answerbag is left wing, but I am working on a pill to cure homosexuality and restore the mind to heterosexaul thoughts. What are your thoughts on my idea?
Being gay does not make a person a sinner. We are all sinners because we all sin and are born into being a sinner. Forgiveness is the answer, not a pill. Forgiveness comes from repentance. If a person breaks one commandment, they are guilty of it all. Forgiveness is the answer and forgiveness is a personal issue. You can't forgive my sins before God and I cannot yours.

Most lube shops can change your fluid and clean out most of the wrong fluid. I would try not to drive it very far or fast until you change it.

I was behind a guy on a crotch rocket today on the freeway and it made me wonder, does driving bent over like that hurt your back? And if so, how can they keep going for miles?
If you can keep up with them, which is highly doubtful, most racing bikes have a license to speed enclosed in the owners manual, you will notice that the rider will try to straighten their backs when they come to a stop. Otherwise we are very comfortable for about 60-80 miles, then we need a break.

I believe it is because the artificial sweetner formula is different and the ratios have to be different or else the drink would not taste right nor would it dispense the correct way into a fountain cup.

I have a 86 oldsmobile cutlass supreme that starts but wont turn over what can I do?
If you mean that the starter makes noise like it is turning, but the engine does not turn? You may one of two problems, either there is a missing tooth in the flywheel (not Likely) or the bendix, or actuator is not pushing the starter gear into the flywheel. In that case, I find it easier just to replace the starter.

Sorry you had a bad birthday. I have had one or two as well, but to cheer you up, your still alive! I am sure that there are many people today who are not going to make it to their next birthday. Another thing, if you want to cheer yourself up, do something nice for a friend soon and it will take your mind off of yourself and you will be cheered up.

When you see a spider in your house do you kill it?
No, spiders actually reduce the number of other bugs in your home, if you actually have them. If you have spiders you can almost be assured they have a food source, otherwise they would die or move on to greener pastures.

I have heard that it is beneficial to NOT make a large payment on one's house but instead to keep the money in the bank and just make the monthly payments instead. Does this make sense somehow?
I think that I would pay the normal monthly payment and some extra each month, say $50-100 dollars. The extra you pay should be taken directly out of the principal. Check this out with the bank before doing this. You may also have to keep up with the extra that you paid to get proper credit. This would systematically lower the amount that finance charges would accumulate for the subsequent...

I would ask, does he have other pictures in his office? If not, why don't you get a frame that matches his office decor with your picture or both of you and give it to him as a gift. Be pro-active, not reactive.

You own the business, you pick the music. You could try to market most of your business to church youth groups. Have packages or plans where 2-3 or more groups could reserve the rink for an outing. Allow the youth leaders to provide the music they want within reason. Contact youth leaders with your marketing plan and see what happens.

http://www.woodsthebest.com/Stairs/install-hardwood-stairs.htm
Try this link. I do it for a living but this is helpful with pictures.
Answer to:
How much is it to install stair treads only per step?
If you are talking about oak treads, the average cost per step is $100-$125 per step including materials. If the step is boxed, meaning that their is a wall or skirt on each side this price is right. If the step is considered an open step left or right, the cost could be a little more for labor and materials.

Where is the starter located on a 1992 buick lesabre? I know it's on the bottom of the engine, but exactly where?
Been a while since I looked, but I believe it is located just next to the junction between the transmission and the engine. It turns the flywheel of the engine and that is where it is located. This would be on the right side under the hood when facing the car from the front.
