Then there were the birthday celebrations. Do you celebrate as much now as you did before? Since all my family is gone, there are no family gatherings. I have spent the last two weeks at home recovering from sciatica. Is there anyone in AB who has gone through that problem and has any tips on how to recover ASAP? It's one of those things that takes a while to heal. Avoid the twinge; don't test it. If you can get access to a whirlpool bath or warm jacuzzi or even one of those massage chairs, that helps alot. Motrin works for me. Be sure you take motrin directly after food. It can screw up your stomach otherwise.

They certainly seem to have absolutely no problem with charging their patients for doing so. I agree. My time is as valuable as theirs ... Contractually, there's no way way to sue for compensation though. I HAVE walked out of dr's offices who kept ME waiting due to their poor use of time, scheduling, etc. Only once was the dr delayed because of an unexpected early twins delivery. That's different.

Does your checking account balance each month? Or don't you really worry that much about it? I never balance my checkbook. I do keep track of cashed checks and deposits though. To me the amt of work/hassle in getting it to balance is not worth it. The downside is that if the credit union makes a mistake , I will have an impossible time showing proof. These day, with online access to my acct, it's possible to catch things quickly. So far so good.

I would not want to be a "Genius". I think it would bring much more sadness into your life than joy. Certainly there are exceptions to this..there always are. Would you really want to be a genius? The geniuses I have known have had many issues re adjusting to school, work, life, others. Many have difficulties with the law and many wind up institutionalized. As a matter of fact, the avg IQ in insane asylums is traditionally higher than the general population. I think if I were a genius, I would hide it or at least minimize it.

My boyfriend was told to take anger management classes by our relationship counselor because he is verbally abusive and recently shoved me. I get these crazy headaches, they almost feel like miniture fireworks going off in my head. The pain is sharp and acute and moves around to various parts, mostly in the parietal region (closer to the occipital). What could cause this? See - the problem is that many many things can cause headaches. I found out I was sensitive to salt and to certain foods. When I avoid those things, no headaches. Tension, sinus, allergies, drug sensitivity, brain tumor, aneurysm and more. . See your doctor to rule out some of these.

I've never flown anywhere that required me to go through Customs. What happens when you do? Usually two stages. First there's a window where the customs officer checks your passport and papers and asks "business or pleasure".... Then second, your baggage and your person may be inspected. Do you think assessing someone is equal to judging them? No - Assessing is making a laundry list of traits, inventory, etc. When you place a value (good, bad, better, worse) on each of these traits, that's judging.
