Would you ever date outside of your race?
When I was dating (20+ years ago) the answer would have been no - not because I had any problem with other races, but because the children of mixed marriages had a hard time back then. I would not have wanted any extra difficulties for my children. Now though, I think enough mixed marriages exist that society is becoming more accepting of mixed marriage and I don't perceive substantial...

Is a man justified in walking away from relationship with a woman he claims he cares for if she says she is not ready to have sex with him after one month. she allows him to do other intimate things but not intercourse yet cause not ready yet
He is justified if that is what he finds important.
She is lucky to loose him with only 1 month wasted on the looser. If that is what the guy wants out of the relationship she should let him go and be happy he is gone.

It is cheaper. It is easier to bring home anything you might buy. You won't need to rent a car at your destination. You can see things on your drive that you can't see from the air.

I had my bathtub painted white.. it was blue. I scratch the paint somehow and wonder how I can repaint or cover the bad spot. The spot is getting bigger . I can not find the person that painted the tub to ask him to fix it.
It sounds like they did not prep the tub well enough. The normal method to refinish a tub is to roughen the tub surface with chemical or abrasive. Then a special epoxy type two part mix paint is used. If the spot is getting bigger then I would guess that it will scratch and peel somewhere else even of you redo the spot that has peeled. I would go to a paint shop (not a big box paint...

Check out Episcopal. It is very similar to old Catholic rite Mass but much more accepting of lesbian/gays although I'm sure that is somewhat dependent on each individual church. A few years ago I was in a progressive Catholic church where the priest suggested that society should be more accepting of gays, but I'm sure that is not normal for a Catholic church. I would guess that you might get a little shock, but it would not have enough power to electrocute you. A DC battery has a very limited current compared to an AC plug in appliance. If you touch the two ends of a 9 volt battery to your tongue you feel strong tingle but no electrocution.

It has no stairs. It is only one story. Or if there are stairs to the porch they are green because it is green everywhere. Or if "green" is not color but is ecological terms then the porch steps are likely concrete as that would probably be more sustainable and "green" than wood steps painted green.

The bible talks about slavery like it is OK, how can a person just ignore that and continue believing? (Genesis 17:12, Exodus 12:43, Exodus 21:1, Exodus 21:20, Colossians 3:22, Leviticus 22:10, Leviticus 25:44, Luke 7:2 Exodus 21:32 )
It kind of screams pretty loud that it was written by people doesn't it? I'm not very religious, but I still only see this as a reason to question the bible, not religion though. I think religion could be a good thing for a society if it wasn't based on a word-for-word belief of a document written 2,000 years ago.

Is it unappealing to men (or people in general) if a female has 2 kids by 2 different men? I had a rough childhood & got prgnant when I was 16. Fast forward 8 yrs-- now I have a newborn w/my current boyfriend. Problem: Our relationship isnt working out.
I would have to say that having two kids with two different men would not say good things to me. You may need to be more careful and consider more reliable birth control in the future.

I am looking at a list of common interview questions, and one was "Why is there fuzz on a tennis ball?" Why is this relevant to an interviewer?
I think a big part in an interview is not just the answers you give to questions, but how you react and how you give answers to questions. This question could show how you react to a question for which you do not have an answer or is could just open a line of conversation. if you get a question like this in an interview just don't get flustered and give the best answer you can.

An airplane wing is shaped so air moves faster over the top of the plane wing then it does over the bottom of the wing. The higher speed of air at the top results in lower pressure on the top of the wing providing lift for the airplane.

Clear tarp would not be the best choice. It certainly won't be good for the plants covered by the clear plastic and it will probably get hot enough to do some killing, but it might just kill the growth above ground and not take care of the roots of some stronger weeds. Black plastic will block the sunlight and adsorb more heat to do a better job of killing the plants underneath. I would...

No special exercise will just take weight from your waist. When you loose weight you loose fat all over your body at equal rates. That being said, you want to do aerobic exercise to loose fat. That means doing longer and slower exercise that gets your heart rate up such as jogging or walking as opposed to lifting weights. Answer to:
Can anyone tell me how to make home made "jell-o" without the dyes and chemicals?
Boil bones. The remaining broth, if you used anough bones and boil it down enough will set like jello when cooled. You will have the flavor of the meat left on the bone, but you won't have and chemicals or dyes. If the bones started clean enough, you could probably cover and taste of meat with enough of you own fruit flavoring if that is whet you were going for.

I have a 1999 Ford Windstar. We had the engine and transmission replaced about 4 months ago. The check engine light just came on. The vehicle has 140,000 miles on it. What should I do?
I recently donated my 1998 Ford Windstar with 125,000 to the American Cancer Society. You were brave to put in a new engine and transmission. I would take it back to the shop that put in the engine and find out what is wrong. It could be a simple sensor or it might be their problem or mistake. Good luck.

This is probably not something the common homeowner should do themselves unles they are very handy and familiar with plumbing and working with gas lines. Try calling an appliance repairman to see if it is something they could do for you. If you make a mistake messing with your gas line it could cost you your house.

If there is any new growth coming up from the ground you might want to consider a long term fix. Each year cut out a couple of the oldest trunks. Let the new growth go. In a few years you will have a new strong bush that you can trim as you desire and keep the established root system.

Answer to:
If wind makes you feel colder under most temperatures, does it make you feel hotter when the temperature is above body temp, thus reversing the direction of the heat transfer?
At some point it feels warmer, but it also depends on the moisture in the air. Air over the body temperature which is dry (low humidity) will still evaporate the sweat on your skin and make you feel warmer. Damp air (high humidity) will evaporate less water and not cool you as much. At some point warm hot air will warm you more than the evaporation will cool you.

There may be a short in the pump wiring.
There may be a fault in your system pressure switch that is not turning the pump off when your supply tank meets adequate pressure and the pump may be continuing to run until it overheats and the pump overload protection shuts the pump off. When it cools it will start again.
It does not sound like a well problem, but you will need a pump...

I would not use any sort of heater that burns anything in a tent or in any other enclosed area - but I don't know how the buddy heater works. I would worry about reduced oxygen and potential fire hazards.
If you want to stay warm I would just recommend keeping yourself dry, getting a good pad to insulate you from the ground, and take extra blankets to put over your sleeping bag.

My refrigerator wont cool down. It's 8 yrs old. The fan just keeps running.
You might try clearing the heat exchange coils located either under or behind the fridge. If dust has built up over the coils they may not be doing a good job of releasing heat, but I would guess that would only decrease the efficiency, not prevent the fridge from cooling. I would try using a vacuum hose to clear the dust under the fridge before thinking about the next step.

I think your question is written quite clearly. I believe a tube runs from the nozzle to the bottom of the can. In the past I know the aerosol gas was flammable. Cans like bug spray and hair...

You might have a cracked head gasket with oil leaking into your coolant. In the 90's Ford engines had problems with head gaskets.

What is the funniest book that you have read?
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson

Answer to:
Do any of you consider food-miles when doing your shopping, or do you just pick by quality/price?
I try to, but it is hard. Even when it comes to something as simple as apples it is hard to find any other than ones from Chile and New Zealand in the regular supermarkets. The consumer really needs to go out of their way to find the right food. It is a shame it can't be easier and it won't be easier until more people demand it.

Answer to:
Why would anyone get married and not just be in a relationship?
I like to say that marriage is for when we fall out of love. We find a mate that we are happy with and promise each other to help each other through life. We all need help and a partner makes life better. At times we might decide we would rather be elsewhere, but hopefully this promise that we make keeps us together and provides the security we need to be able to sleep at night. Over time,...
Answer to:
I am 27 and have been with my boyfriend for 4 years. I never talk about marriage, but lately I feel like I should start. After this long, should I want to get married?
I would think that if marriage is something you want in general, then after 4 years you should either want to be thinking about marriage or getting out of the relationship so you can find someone who does interest you for marriage.

What do you recycle?
Steel, aluminum, plastic (#1), glass, newspaper, junk mail and magazines, corugated cardboard, batteries, plastic grocery bags.
Kitchen and yard waste is composted.
Old clothing and appliances go to the Cancer Federation or Goodwill for reuse.

Answer to:
I would like to know if there is something I can do with my used water filters (Brita). Can the contents be used in the garden for composting or fertilizing?
I would not compost with the filter media. You are removing "things" from the water that you do not want to consume with your water and concentrating them on the filter media. That is the type of waste that should go to a landfill and be contained within the highly engineered barriers of the landfill.
Answer to:
What can and cant i put in my composter bin?
The first answer you got seemed good to me.
What you do not want to put in your compost is meat and dairy scraps. Also, you want to make sure any sawdust is not from pressure treated wood.
You need to be a little carefull with some of your garden waste also. Make sure you do not put plants into your compost that were diseased.
Answer to:
How many communities are using single-stream recycling (where everything is placed into one bin that is sorted at a station) versus sorted recycling which we use in my community?
We put plastic and cans in one bag. Glass goes in a bin. Newspaper goes into another bag. Junk mail and magazines go into another bag. Corrugated cardboard is also collected. It is picked up at the curb weekly for $4/month. We can also drop off all this stuff at drop-off centers for no cost. The drop-off centers also collect plastic grocery bags and household batteries.

So true! We look before we sit down, right? I do think that if you are in the home of another woman you should have the decency to leave the seat the way ou found it (down). I have a 1992 3.0L Ford Ranger Pick-up that uses anti-freeze. It doesn't "leak" anti-freeze, it consumes it at about 2 quarts per 5,000 miles. Would this be a bad gasket or seal where? The oil level is stable to falling, so it isn't going into the oil.
Due to my experience with a Ford I would guess that you have a cracked head gasket. Look for a white fog coming from your exhaust - especially when you start the engine. You could be burning the coolant in the engine.

White smoke is coming from my 1998 explorer after ive been driving a while then stop. The smoke only comes after i stop. The problem started the same day i got an oil change.
As it is a Ford engine from the late 90's I would guess that you have a cracked head gasket. Check your engine coolant level. The coolant could be leaking into your engine or lubrication system. It may be smoking all the time but only noticeable when you are stopped. The oil change could just be a coincidence.

My favourite beer is available at the same price in glass bottles and aluminium cans. Assuming I recycle both properly, which is it the most ecologically friendly to buy?
Aluminum currently seems to be better for recycling. I don't think there is currently enough demand for recycled glass. There is a lot of glass sitting around in piles with no economical use. (still better than going to a landfill)
Aluminum has well established markets for recycling. It takes less energy to make aluminum from recycled aluminum than from ore.

I don't think the problem is the stuff sticking to your hair. The problem is if you had the drugs in your system when your body made your hair. Your hair can indicate your drug use history. Hair further away from your skull way made longer ago and indicates your drug use longer ago. If you got a lot of the second hand stuff in your lungs then it could also be in your hair - not on it....

What is a positive displacement pump?
Generally, a positive displacement pump pushes a fluid, rather than throwing it. It can be a piston pushing a fluid out of a cylinder, a diphragm being pulled out and pushed back in evacuating the space inside it or even a roller being pushed across a tube held on a cylinder.
An example of a non positive displacement pump would be a centrifugal pump with vanes rotating within a chamber...

Can ants cause wood damage as well as termites?
Yes, for sure. Carpenter ants live in and eat damp wood. A leaking roof can lead to damp structural timber in your home that the ants eat and live in. They can cause a lot of damage to your home - just like termites.

I just got back from West Marine. I got a "free" sailboat and trailer couple years ago that needs some work before I can get it on the water. A recent trip to a lake got me motivated to get it fixed. I was at West Marine to get some of the supplies I need to do the work. I just wandered around the store thinking about what I could do with so much of the stuff there.

I think it is possible for governments (or individuals) to alter the weather, but I don't think anyone can control it yet. There are methods of seeding clouds with compounds that encourage rain, but there is no real control of how much might fall and how long it might last. There are also thoughts that large amounts of dry ice dropped in a developing huricane would cool it enough to...

I would have to say I can't live without two of those. Without my car and computer my business would end. Be carefull. Your car will most likely not pass inspection with the code triggering the check engine light to come on and an inspector might not look kindly upon the check engine warning (most likely an environmentla system) being bypassed. You will eventually need to get it fixed to pass inspection, so whynot get it fixed to help the car run better and cleaner?

I loved the show, but I can't keep up with watching it every week when it is on. We don't have tevo (or any similar service) and I never think to set the VCR. I've been buying the season when it goes on sale so I can watch it all. I go through it in a couple days once I get it. It is impossible to stop watching after one episode.

What do you prefer, Burger King or McDonald's?
McD for the playlands. (I've found very few BKs with playlands for kids)
BK for burgers. (Whopper beats the Big Mac)
McD for fries. (but I try not to eat the fies now and it is easier to resist the BK fries)
McD for service. (the 1 or 2 cash register model is not as fast as McD many register model)

Would you begin dating someone knowing that you were going to be leaving town in 6 months? Why or why not?
Yes, as long as I did not hide my plans from my dates. First, who knows when you will meet the right person. You may fall head over heals and decide to marry. Plans could always change 6 months down the road, or your mate could leave with you. Second, I had great experiences with many of the women I dated that I still am thankful for today, and I'm not just talking about intimate ones....

How bad does labor pain feel? I heard that it's excuriating. What's your view point? Explain your experience.
It hurt just to watch - any my wife had an epidural for all three of our kids. I have to add that it is harder for some than others. It probably hurts similarly for all, but for some the baby pops out quite quickly. Others experience the hell for hours. That was the case for my wife. Our kids just didn't want to come out.

I got charged for reckless driving when the cop that was driving opposite of me turned around in a driveway. i panicked and slammed on my brakes and left skids. i got charged with reckless driving and speeding 16 over the speedlimit. how should i fight it
Why should you fight it? You were 16 mph over the speed limit. Was the driveway a residential driveway? Were you 16 mph over the speed limit in a residential neighborhood? Is that 41 in a 25 zone? He was turning around to give you a ticket. The skid marks prove you were not in adequate control of your car. If it had been a kid coming out of a driveway rather than a cop you might have...

How can I gain weight while still running cross-country and track?
I assume you are in high school. Don't worry if you can't put on the pounds. When I was in school I was a heavy swimmer. I ate tons of food and lifted weights, but I still couldn't build any bulk. My freshman year in college is when I started to get some more bulk. Your body will grow when it wants to. Until then, just eat healthy and stay active and be happy with the body...
Answer to:
What should I eat and drink the day before and the day of a 10K race to improve my performance?
For a 10K, I would say the key is what not to eat. Your body is not gong to be needing anything too special for only 10K. What you don't want to do is feed it something that is not normal and regular on the morning of your race. Some people say the energy bars and gels give them the runs (digestive runs that is) or upset their stomach. Make sure you try anything you plan to eat in...

I'm participating in a foot race with my goals. I catch up, but eventually I need things like water, rest and I cherish my leisure (Which some say are the only things I've ever slaved over). How can I raise my endurance?
Carry a water bottle or get a Camelback type hydration system. They are a little backpack with a water bladder insider. A tube extends from the bag so you can get a drink when you need it and keep hydrated.
Also, try running in the morning or evening to keep out of the high heat of mud day. Get yourself out in the right conditions and you may feel more motivated and increase your distance...

What is the farthest you have ever run? Why did you run it?
The most I've run is 13 miles. I was training to run a 10-mile race up and down a mountain (2,000 feet up and 2,000 ft back down) There is no elevation change even close to that where I live so I trained at a greater distance than the race to try to prepare. The race still hurt a lot!

How can I minimize, avoid, or treat chafing of the inner thigh during and following running?
My wife uses a product called Body Glide (I think). It goes on like a stick deodorant. I don’t need it for my thighs. Where I have problems is my nipples. I need to buy some new running shoes. What is better, stability/motion control shoes or cushion shoes?
It depends on the runner. Go to a specialty RUNNING store (not an athletic shoe store). Tell them how you run and any problems you have. If you have been running take your old shoes so they can see how they have worn. Some stores will even watch you run. If you have been suffering from any knee pain it is likely they will suggest cushioning. If your shoes are not wearing properly they may...

The Tour de France must be the most gruelling sporting event in the world. Do you agree?
They generally race 6-8 hours per day for three weeks straight along windy hot flats and over mountain peaks - sometimes in snow. They need to finish each stage within a certain percent of the winners time to continue on the next day. They race down hairpin curves at speeds up to 60 mph. At any time anything can cause them to crash and soar over a cliff or along a gravel covered road. It is...

Is Michael Rasmusson just another cycling cheat or merely forgetful?
The forgetful excuse seems a bit questionable to me in the current atmosphere of eliminating drug abuse in the sport. How and where to pinch to stems of plants to make the bushier,? I am not even sure what they mean.
I would think that exactly where will depend on the plant and how big you want it to get, but generally you need to cut the stem of the plant - usually just past a leaf. The plant will then send out multiple stems from that single stem resulting in a shorter and bushier plant.

How do you figure that unions are good for employers? There was a time that workers were taken advantage of and unions became necessary, but now they protect the lazy as much as they protect hard workers.

How do I know what ring to buy my girlfriend to propose to her
For me, I picked a stone in my price range and then I looked at settings. It was the setting that made my decission. I found a setting that highlighted the stone better than the standard setting and made the ring more original. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the right one for me.
In the long run though, the ring is unimportant. The fact that you chose to buy one is the important thing.

What is the point system for , relating to answering these questions. Can you do something with these points? Where does it say , I missed something somewhere.
The only thing the points do is allow you to rise to a higher level to be able to assign more points. They might indicate which answers are better than others, but generally I find the high points only indicate the better answers that came into a question early on. Many good answers go by without getting any points. So the general answer in my opinion is - points mean nothing.

What does a guy need to hear to feel completely confident with himself in bed?
You're goooooood! (Just for clarity that was a drawn out "good", not "god", but I guess either could make you feel completely confident.)
With a country accent it can stay in a guy's memory for what I guess has been almost 20 years now.

Why not replace the gas engine in a hybrid with a generator driven by the turning of the rear wheeles?
It takes energy to turn a generator. The car would only run down hills.
Hybrid cars already have a generator attached to the turning drive train (so essentially to the wheels)to charge the battery. That generator is engaged when braking. The turning of the generator slows down the car.

I think it depends on whether you are kicking for distance or accuracy. For a distance kick use your laces. If you are trying to make and accurate pass you may have better control with your instep. The outside of your foot might be right for certain passes also.

My little brother is 13yrs old and is very very skinny. He almost looks like the kids from africa that they show on tv. I want him to gain weight and look healthier. What vitamins or things can I do to make him eat more?
If you are a child yourself it is not your place to give your brother vitamins or make him eat more. Talk to your parents. They should talk to your brother's doctor if there is a problem.
If your parents refuse to do anything and you think there is a problem, then talk to a nurse or counselor at your school. They should be available to you even if school is out for the summer....

You could try a metal finishing shop. Look under Metal Finishers in the Yellow pages. They can replate metal finishes. They put new layers of finishing metal over your metal part.

In the CC&R's it staes that you are not allowed to park longer than 36 hours on the street. We do not park on the street but have recieved violation notices stating we park in the landscaping areas (What is that?) would be fined 350 if we didn't comply.
It sounds like you are only allowed to park for extended periods of time (greater than 36 hours) on paved areas (maybe your driveway). Landscaped areas are grass, multch, bushes, and trees. You should not be parking there.

Is being faithful to your partner an "invention"? Isn't it human nature to procreate at every opportunity?
I would think that it may be human nature for men, at a base level, to procreate at every opportunity, but it is probably also human nature for women to do what it takes to protect her children. I also think it is human nature for men to want their offspring to survive and thrive.
I think that as humans have evolved both men and women (at least the responsible ones) have realized that...

I am building a cottage in a remote area that has no electricity. I want to generate power using a vertical shaft wind powered generator. What is the lightest but strongest material I could use to make moulded turbine blades? Fiberglass is too heavy.
Carbon Fiber seems to be the new light material of choice for things like bikes and high end equipment. It is formed and layed up similar to fiberglass but it is lighter and stronger.
I would think that there are turbines on the market that would be as efficient as you could expect to make yourself.

If you want to know the names of grapes and the regions they are grown in you just need to get a book. There are tons of them.
As far as storage, most of the wine you buy at the store is ready to drink. Very few wines are of a quality that they improve substantially with age. They are sold in the store when they are ready. Generally some of the more complex darker reds require a little...

Higher speed uses more gas due to the increased resistance of friction through the air.
After EDIT:

You will get your best gas milage at the lowest speed your car can maintain in high gear. As your speed increases your resistance due to air friction increases and your gas milage will decrease.

What experience do you get out of owning a dog
A dog will always love you and be happy to see you. A dog will also set you up with a wake-up, mealtime, and bedtime routine. A dog will make it hard to stay away from your home to too long. A dog will teach you (or get you used to) cleaning up messes.

What Was Your Worst Job?
My worst job was Construction Management capping a landfill with earth movers that did not know how to read grade stakes. For those without construction or engineering background that means the guys pushing the dirt did not know how deep they should make the dirt or how much dirt they should dig out. We ended up moving a lot of dirt back and forth and the open landfill pit 200 yards away...

I think that is pretty good. You should try training a bit and see if you can work yourself up to running a 5K race (3.1 miles). There are tons of organized 5K races. You will be able to compare yourself to how others your age are doing.

How long does it take for muscle weight to offset fat weight?? Running 5 miles 3 times a week and swimming 30 minutes 2 times a week 3 months ago, cut my diet and have NOT lost a pound!!!!! Have I gained muscle that is offset
If you have been doing the same thing for 3 months I would think you should be ramping up your running distance and swimming time. Still, I would think that you should have lost some weight by now. Have you lost any inches? Has your waist size shrunk? I don't think 15 miles/week is going to build tons of muscle unless you are doing hill work. Swimming is not a muscle builder either....

Why do some Delaware cars have black license plates with [usually] low numbers?
What you are seeing are generally old license plates. When the new plates were made the old plates were allowed to remain in use. It is now somewhat a status symbol. The old plates are worth a lot of money, sometimes more than the car they are on. They have sold for huge amounts of money. An internet search would probably find some news stories about sale of the plates.

If you seen a bus (not a school bus) leaving out a group of children would you wait till the children were off the bus before you pass?
If any kids were waiting to cross the street I would stop. If no kids were crossing street and the bus were pulled to the side of the road and out of the my driving lane I would slow down and pass it slowely. If the bus was stopped in my driving lane and I would need to cross the center line of the road into the opposing traffic lane I likely would not pass unless the bus signaled me to pass....

They maybe never saw what happens to garbage at a landfill. It gets dumped and pushed around by a dozer. Bags get ripped open and everything is open to the gulls. I spend a few months working at a landfill a few years ago when my company had a job capping a full cell. I saw more than one gull with stuff stuck on their bills and wrapped araound their necks. We have a wild bunny in our yard. Today we just noticed for the first time a hole and the grass around it is disturbed. Did the rabbit do this? what can we do so that it won't make more holes?
My experience with rabbits is that they do not make multiple holes. In my yard (now and where I grew up) they dig a small hole and have their litter there. They cover the babies with grass and other plant debris to hide the nest. As soon as the babies are gone from the nest they abandon the nest. I wouldn’t worry about them making more holes. They are not like groundhogs.

Why do people put eggs in the fridge!? If they were supposed to go in there then the supermarkets have them in the wrong place. Does it make them last longer? i am in the uk.
Eggs will last longer in the fridge.
My brother is a farmer and has laying hens. They gather the eggs from the hens daily. If they don't find the eggs in time they will begin to rot. Refrigeration will also keep a fertilized egg from turning into a chicken.
Eggs last quite a long time in my fridge.

Would gas rationing, for personal vehicles, be an answer to high gasoline prices? like 20 gallons per vehicle, per week? wouldn't this treat all motorists equally?
I don't think so. Different people have different traveling needs. It would be great if we could all keep our miles down, but sometimes we can't. If you have a sick parent that lives 250 miles away you're likely to need more than 20 gallons per week. I think what is important is how efficiently we drive the miles that we do drive.

If you tried oven cleaner and SOS pads then most likely the chrome finish is gone and you will not be able to get them shiney again. You'll need to by new ones. New ones cost about $10. There are different styles so you might want to take an old one with you to the store to make sure your replacement is the correct style for your stove.

In your apartment complex or your neighborhood (if you're lucky enough to have a house), do you know your neighbors or are they all pretty much strangers?
Our neighbors were pretty much strangers until we had kids. Then we started spending more time in front of our house with the kids and got to know the neighborhood. If you do not know your neighbors I engourage you to do what you can to get to know them. Being on friendly terms with your neighbors can greatly improve your quality of life.

Has any one made a pumpkin chucker or been to a pumpkin-chucken contest?
I live in Delaware, but have not been to the contest. A few years ago I did see one of the pumpkin chuckers in action. It was in Delaware City “chucken” pumpkins into the Delaware River toward Fort Delaware on Pea Patch Island. It was a pneumatic cannon. It was pretty cool to watch. It could really send a pumpkin flying.

Does anyone know a home remedy to remove wood ticks?
I find that pointy tipped tweezers help get a hold of the tick. If it is full of blood and you grab it you can squeeze stuff from the tick back into the host. If you gently grab the tick just above the skin with the tweezers and lift away it usually comes right out.

How would you feel if by the very fact that you positively responded to someone's question that was on the edge that you actually helped prevent another major disaster such as the Virginia Tech Massacre by effectively dissuading the person?
I would feel content.
We should all try to watch out for people in need. We should teach out children not to be bullies. We should help care for neighborhood children that don't get the necessary guidance at home. We should be kind to people that are a little different from us. Our country does not need to be a screwed up as it is.

All it takes is the proper wire if your stereo has aux input jacks. Get a wire that has the match to your input jacks on one side and headphone size adapter on the other end and you can feed your MP3 player into your stereo.
A second simple option is getting a plug-in computer speaker system. The speakers can plug rightinto the computer speakers just like a computer does.

I tent camped with three children through infancy and as toddlers. Don’t be afraid – go for it. Kids don’t care if they are dirty and love camping. Make sure you have easy snacks and drinks for them. I am not a doctor or behavior professional - just a father of three, but I do know that by 5 that should not be happening. I would assume that something is wrong either physically or emotionally. I would get her to a doctor and/or therapist and figure out the cause of her frustration and go from there.

Who should I contact if I know of a large company that does not recycle? Is it illegal?
I'm not sure what the law is in Canada, but why don't you start by callng the company's public relations office and suggest that they try to recycle if possible. If you get a poor response from them you could try contacting your national or state/province environmental regulatory departments and I'm sure they would be familiar with any applicable laws.

What is the purpose of steam pipes that are shown in the movie 'bone collector'?
I don't know specifically about New York, but in some places power plants pipe steam to customers just as they transmit electricity. Water is boiled at the power plant to operate a generator that makes electricity. That steam can also be piped out to customers and used for heating and for powering mechanical equipment.

I don't think it is at all common. If you are not in the USA are you basing this comment on what you see on American television shows? Answer to:
What is the best way to wash and dry a men's cotton dress shirt so that it will look good and not shrink? Is professional laundering the best?
I go cheap and do my washing myself. My white shirts I wash in warm with a little bleach. I dry just long enough to get the shirts good and warm. I take them out of the dryer while they are still damp and hang on a plastic hanger to dry. This minimizes shrinking, saves power (gas or electric), and reduces the need for ironing. If you want it good and crisp then iron with some spray starch.

Many running shoes such as Nike Air Max Moto and Asics Gel Cumulus. Their body is mostly mesh to cool feet while running. These are just the ones I use. I'm sure there are many others. They are light and have a bit of cushion. They are vented so well they are hard to use n the winter bacause they lead to cold feet. I think they cost between $70 and $80.

Make sure you do not drink on an empty stomach, drink plenty of water so you don't get dehydrated, and don't drink too much.

How about OK...
If he is particular about his clothes he may not trust your ability and may be worried about you ruining something.
If his clothes are basic clothes and he is not very particular he may be trying to hide something.
If he also does other stuff around the house such as cleaning and cooking he may just want to do his fair share of the chores.
Good luck figuring it out.
