War used to be good for the economy. Everyone had jobs, car business making tanks and planes, etc. With our new high-tech forces, it now costs us money. Is it because soldiers are cheaper than technology in terms of net loss?

I'm watching the preview for a show called "Whale Wars" which, like "Deadliest Catch", tracks the voyages of a whaleboat. 25 yrs. ago, these guys would have been publicly hanged. Have things changed so much since the '80's, that this is now cool?

Who's idea was it to strap an ill-fitting, cockeyed floor mat to the back bumper of your car to prevent scratches and scuffs? Yea, your bumper is scuff-free, but you can't tell because IT'S GOT AN ILL-FITTING FLOOR MAT STRAPPED TO IT! Sheesh....
