Did anyone else suffer side effects going onto an anti-depressent? i feel awful my stomach hurts bad! they did say this could happen urgh! any words of inspiration? I've been on anti-depressantsanti-anxiety medication previously, and I remember that they took a while to 'kick in'. I think I felt 'worse' for about a couple of weeks, before they took effect fully, and I started to feel 'better.' So, if you persevere, and keep taking your medication, I think you'll find that it'll help you. Best wishes. :-)

If you were in a near fatal accident and were only able to use one half of your body (one leg, arm, ect..) and you were given the choice to go on living or to end your life, what would you do? I think if I were in some kind of accident, in which I lost the ability to use one arm, and one leg, I think that I would still want to continue living. I would probably need to 're-learn' how to do things, using just one arm, or perhaps might be able to get prosthetic limbs. Perhaps if I were in that situation,I would get depressed at times, but I don't think it would lead...

If I told you that I have a handicapped child, what would you say to me? Give them a lot of support, and help them to achieve the things that they want to do. I would say the same things, if you had a child that was not handicapped, also. :-)

You have a pateint that is unable to wipe themselfs what options do they have? I would think nursing staff wouldn't have much of a problem with 'wiping' people. They probably do it a lot, anyway. When in a sentence I can use "to verb+ing"? I think any verb can be followed by '-ing' at the end. But sometimes, you need to put words in between. For example - I walk, I am walking. He or She walks, He or She is walking They walk, They are walking. Hope this helps.

I saw the eye doctor today..While everything was fine..they want to do a 'visual field' exam on me on Monday. Is this just a test they do so that they can set a standard as to how my vision is today as opposed to the future? Glaucoma runs in my family. I think a 'visual field' exam is just to test how good your eyesight is. For example, if you have difficulty seeing things that are at a distance. Or if you have difficulty seeing things that are near to you. That is your 'field of vision.'

Why does being deaf effect your speach? is it simply because you cant hear yourself talking? People that are born deaf, never hear other peoples' voices. So they cannot copy, from other people, 'exactly' how words sound, or how speech sounds. They can attempt to copy peoples' mouth movements, to try to talk like 'hearing' people, but it doesn't sound the same, because they can't hear their *own* voice.

I agree with 'Shopping Sheryl' - people that think they're on a mobile phone, and using 'text' language on their *computer.* There's enough space in the text-window for people to type words in full, and I think it would only take a few extra seconds for them to type additional letters. I think the surname 'Smith' is very common because it has been used throughout history to mean someboody with a particular job or occupation. Some surnames were originally used to describe occupations/jobs of people. I'm not sure about the name Jones, though. Perhaps you find out about it on the 'net.' :-)

I think that when we think about death, we only think about it while we are 'living', and the idea of going to heaven, or being reincarnated, might seem attractive to us, while we're alive. I think that perhaps if someone is sitting close to a T.V. or computer over a long period of time, this may affect the pupils' ability to expand and contract. I also try to relax my jaw, so that my teeth are not together, and breathe through my mouth. I find that if I do that for long enough, my eyes become tired, and they close, and I fall asleep that way.

If i gave you a paintbrush, what would you paint? Probably something like a 'smiley face' or 'stick-people.' I think I'm useless at painting, but that might be because I've not done very much of it, apart from when I was at school. :-)

You were suffering the effects of a combination of alcohol & cannabis (or whatever it was). Perhaps it's not a good combination, and that's why you felt like you couldn't move, and like you were having a panic attack. The mix of alcohol and weed had a negative effect on your brain.
