Is there such a thing as being *Too* self-sacrificing?
Of course there's such a thing!
In my opinion, when a person gives beyond his/her reasonable means (ie, without the expectation of things being brought into balance again), the relationship is not an honest and fair one... to either party. Balance is important in relationships, I think.

How do you make up with a friend who wont talk to you?
Sometimes it helps to give folks a little time to deal with their hurts. Maybe your friend will feel more like talking in a day or two.
In the meantime, do try to be supportive of his/her needs, and of course, apologize again (without making excuses)...
It is obvious to me that you care about the friendship. I wish you well.

First, apologize to your bfriend (and the other party, if that is appropriate)... and ask for some time and space before you or your partner make any important decisions about what to do with the damaged relationship.
A good relationship can recover from a mistake, when the parties are able to let the passions of the moment pass. Rational discussion and resolution must follow, of course.

When you get a tattoo on you penis does it have to be hard or soft. (your penis that is)

In the Beyonce song "Irreplaceable", why would she want "another YOU in a minute" if she packed his bags and is throwing him out. Wouldn't it be more appropriate if she said a "better you" or a "different man" in a minute?
Yes, I think it would be more appropriate... for a rational being.
Perhaps Beyonce, in the song, is suggesting that she understands herself better than she lets on? That she knows she'll make that same mistake... its her "need" to be involved with someone that's bad for her that is irreplaceable?
Just my notions about it... I like Beyonce.

I have an ugly friend, who is extremely ugly, how can they make other friends?
You are kiddin'. right? Help your friend establish an online identity. We are all beautiful in cyberspace.
Perhaps you can help your friend develop a new screen name and icon... (ie, an identity that emphasizes the positives in his/her life) eg: win2000pro, kamasutraExplorer, BigNvegas, StarGazer, LeftOCenter2007...
The Internet is an equal access/equal opportunity platform... there...

I need john wesley riles record "kay" on cd how do i get it
You may mean "John Wesley Ryles." I am also a fan.
The album "Kay" was released in 1969. It is not commercially available on CD, best I can tell.
Usually albums of this age are only available in their original format, and "used" at that.
The LP is currently available on eBay @

Answer to:
Can anybody explain why if I answer a question like, "Why?" I get lots of points, but if I answer a question that needs technical skill and knowledge, like, "What function in Excel will give the result I need?" I get no points?
I see something similar. The questions with more possible answers get more attention.
We ABers may be favoring the social aspect of this resource, perhaps intuitively.

My self esteem is rock bottom at the moment, any tips for pulling myself together?
Hi Kat,
In your AB profile you said:
"Life is too short to be miserable..."
I agree with you.
My tips:
Make a list, a list of people and things you DO have going for you. Brains, good looks, family and friends... there's some obvious ones, just to get you started.
Take care of your self (a special meal, a long bath), even if it means putting your troubles aside...

I place mine firmly in a chair, then I sit on it for hours at a time ('til comfortably numb). That usually solves the problem... 'til I lmao again, that is.

A man walks up to you and says - "everything I say to you is a lie." Is he telling you the truth or is he lying?
The man is lying.
Some additional thoughts:
--- "everything" is an absolute, and there are few of those;
--- the statement is forward-looking, and the future is not known to us (ie, he might slip up and tell a truth); and,
--- possible truths? "everything ELSE I say...," "everything I SAID...," etc
