How can I make perfume? A kind that actually lasts.
The more essential oil you use, the longer lasting the scent will be. You can, in fact, make perfumes that are 100% essential oil. This is more expensive (depending on the type of oil you use) and will not last in the bottle as long as perfumes with the oil dissolved in alcohol (oil without preservatives will eventually go rancid) but it is possible. (The oil perfume lasts a long time on the...

Last year rent was raised, and this year they're raising it again. Is it legal to raise the rent again in that short of a period?
The purpose of signing a lease on an apartment is so that the the rent is "frozen" for the term of the lease. What the rental company gets out of the deal is a commitment from you to stay in the apartment for the term of the lease.

What alcoholic beverage has the most intense licorice flavor?
Ouzo is the traditional licorice flavored beverage, but it is made with anise, a milder herb that tastes like licorice. Although I have not sat down and compared, I would suggest a relatively new liqueur, Black Sambuca, has a more intense licorice flavor than ouzo. There is also White Sambuca, but it doesn't have the same strength of flavor.

Is there any truth to the claim that young people are converting to Wicca after reading "Harry Potter" novels?

2. In...

When playing DVDs on my PS2, the picture fades alternately from dark to light. What could be wrong?
Dark to light is common anti-pirating techniques. Do you have a recordable devise hooked up to your PS2 (a VCR or DVD recorder)?
I've had DVDs play fine through a VCR, and then do the fade in/out/in only when I hit "record" on the VCR.

Is it true that coffee is an appetite suppressant?
According to my doctor, who is an internist, yes it is. He told me as long as I didn't have severely adverse reactions to caffiene (jitters, heart palpitations) I could drink a moderate amount of coffee.
Caffiene is one of the principle ingrediants in old-fashioned diet pills like Dexatrim, who touted appetite suppressants as their primary goal.

My digital camera is 2.1 megapixels, but when I print the pictures on my inkjet printer, they are grainy. Will a photo printer help?
If you are using plain paper to print your pictures, that is most likely the problem. Inkjet photo paper is formulated to keep the colors from bleeding and looking grainy.
If you are using inkjet photo paper, then perhaps stepping up to a photo printer will help.
