Do you think John Edwards should continue his bid for the White House with his wife's recent recurrence of cancer?
Of course. If he and his wife have made the commitment to continue I think they should both continue. By now I am sure he knows the survival rate is less than 25% for 5 years with what she has now, if it has not spread to the lungs, and they have not announced those test results yet.
If she can stay healthy and strong enough to go through the entire campaign, I think he has a chance, but I...

Which is more effective and easier-to-handle: one question with 300 answers or three almost identical questions with 100 answers each?
I think the 3 questions would be tougher. If the questions were almost identical, it might be graded or looked at more harshly than if there was just one set of questions, since a person could answer a shade differently on any one question. With one set of questions, at least there would be only one answer.

For what reasons would you consider reasonable for an answerbagger to quit answerbagon a pretty permenant basis?
1, Quality of good questions has gone down to where they are very frustrated. Nobody likes to have to have to search for a good question to reply to, at least I do not.
2. They feel it has become too much of a social club and not as much a place where people can find good information.

Question for a fiction story I need a medical answer? Im not suidical just wondering what I would need to write. If someone takes 3 times the amount of advil pm (2) so like 6 pills (sleeping aid) and does nothing what will happen?
Well, it all depends. Advil PM is not a drug for suicide really. Even in huge doses. A person might fall asleep for awhile, or if it upset their stomach they would barf it all up and be really sick to their stomach. A VERY small percentage of people who try to kill themselves using MUCH stronger pills are even successful.
They usually end up sick at home, or at a hospital getting their...

Right now it is very difficult. So far I am continuing to fight things and try to get the things I can, under control or fixed. Other things I am trying to adapt to, and other things are never going to go away and I am not sure how long I will be able to put up with them.
So it pretty much sucks, basically.

Do you think it is more vain for a man to get a good toupee or hair plugs when he is going bald or to shave his head entirely, so the balding doesn't show?
I think it is a personal choice. It need not be vain. Some men just look better bald rather than balding, so it can be a personal choice based on how they look. Others who go to the expense of hair plugs or weaving or a very good toupee I would think would be closer to vain than a man who shaved his head.
I think it's up to them. I personally think a cheap toupee or a...

Go to an ER or a doctor. He takes a swab of your throat, and in most offices today they can test to see if it is strep culture or not right there while you wait! At worst, you will know the next day. That is the only way to know for sure.
And if you have it, you will need antibiotics. If you have a viral sore throat, then the antibiotics are not needed.

The coffee probably has none of the junk they put in energy drinks such as preservatives etc. But if you are talking about which is worse from a "too much caffeine" standpoint, it would depend on how strong the coffee is and which energy drink to which you you are referring.

The attorney who is handling her affairs such as her Will and all of that, will know how to see what she had in other investments using her social security number and other ways. If you have no attorney to help, there must be an "executor" for the estate unless she had no Will.

Do perfect strangers sometimes feel the need to give you their life story?
In my experiences it is because they are lonely, need someone to talk to, and feel sharing that will gain them some kind of bond so you will reciprocate and "stay with them" in conversation at least. Most of these people are starving for someone to talk to and so they talk about that which they know best - their life.

I think that is probably a question we could all ask ourselves at some time or another. And the only person to really answer it is ourselves. Look within and see if you do or say things on a regular basis, in every type of situation, that could put someone or several someones off?
Usually the answer will come to you if you look and think on it long enough.

As long as I don't have to breathe it let people smoke if they wish. I DO think making innocent kids breather it and older people who might have no choice as far as getting away from it in certain places is not right or fair.

This is one of many reasons the Aitkins diet was more popular, but is not recommended by MOST nutritionists or physicians or diet specialists today. It is simply too hard to maintain for most people for their lifetime, (and if you have chronic weight issues, you need a diet you can stick to FOR LIFE) and it is also too high on the protein side, which can cause alot of problems from kidney to...

ACCEPT that you will not have control over it ever. Until you do, you will always feel stressed out about it and not be able to let go of that frustration. When you can let go of that, it will cease to be a real problem any longer.

My spell checker works sometimes, but it will not catch that form of capitalization error. So I will try to proof read, but I cannot promise I will always be 100% accurate. Is it wise to tell a man u are in a serious relation with (dating/married)everything about your self and your family? Can giving too much information backfire on you?
In a simple word, yes, it can be too much information and backfire on you. Some things are best kept old secrets.
If it doesn't hurt or apply to the relationship now and it might cause hurt, confusion or in anyway compromise your current relationship, it is best to be quiet and leave the past in the past as well as any family or personal things that are not real "positive."

Usually not unless you have a very good back up of them. You will lose some data files and also there is a good chance of corrupted files. That is why having a very good and reliable backup of your most important data files is very important. Also, most settings will have to be redone because you will be reloading all of your programs again.

I find it just as wrong. Women are in prison for shooting, stabbing and otherwise killing men by various means, including hitting. They might not pack as hard a punch, but it is still assault and battery, and it can hurt or kill just as when a man hits a woman.

I am saddened by it, but not surprised. People get married quickly without thinking about what it means and will mean long term. They don't really often get past the infatuation or physical stages. So when real life hits them and real problems, they have no clue how to work together to get through tough times.

Can you explain the phrase 'son of a gun' to me?
Well, I read this:
After sailors had crossed the Atlantic to the West Indies, they would take the native women on board the ship and have their way with them in between the cannons. Some of the women the sailors left behind would have boys, who were called sons between the guns.
Or, "son of a gun." Like a bastard I suppose. Makes sense to me.

If you are not in pain, just eat SOFT foods and nothing hot or cold, and call to get in first thing Monday to have a replacement or permanent crown. Keep it clean by rinsing with warm salt water.
If you have pain ice will help. And aspirin, etc.
If you have *alot* of pain, call a dentist on call and get another temp put on.

It is common slang to use words that have religious reference no matter whether someone is a Christian, a Jew or an atheist. It has nothing to do with religious affiliations or beliefs. It's a cultural habit and word-slang habit people red and hear and then use.

"Wealthy" (rich) people are just as susceptible to cancer and many other deadly diseases as people who are poor.
The only reason a wealthy person might live longer is because they can afford to see the doctor more often and get better health care. Also, they probably eat more healthy foods and that helps their immune system up to a point.

It could be:

-A bacteria problem or virus in that eye
-A problem with the tear ducts in that eye alone for some reason.
If the eye doctor you are seeing cannot tell you what is wrong, find another doctor. These problems can get very bad and hard to get under control if you do not treat them quickly and correctly.

Do you use a travel agent or do you book your own travel plans?
On short trips we do it ourselves. On longer trips we use an agent we know and trust who has never gotten us anything but the best rates and accommodations, and good advice.
He deserves what he makes for making sure we get the best and get what we want.

What happened to Drublic's Avatar... how will we recognize him now? Is the world coming to an end?
From all I have read he was a good person, had great questions and alot of good answers. I am sure he has his reasons for wanting privacy. Leave the poor guy alone and let him do what he wants.
He has earned the right to be secretive or reclusive/private if he wishes to at this point, as does anyone else.

Once a year. At my age, and with my doctor also a neighbor and friend, I think it gives my wife and me piece of mind, even though I have no serious health problems at age 50+.

No answer to that, except possibly the pressure of your back on the car seat stirs up a place that is abit irritated already, so it starts to itch.

Sadly, I was in a motorcycle accident when I was 18. I had a friend on the back of my 750 Honda. A car hit us (not my fault) and we both went flying. I was hurt enough to be in the hospital for 4 days.
My good friend however, was very badly hurt (he refused to wear a helmet) and to this day he has things he cannot do, due to some brain injury he got when he was hurt.

Where has the conditioning that men shouldnt cry come from?
Their parents growing up and society (part of society anyhow).
It can be cured. I cry now when I feel the need. Growing up and into my early 20's I only cried 2-3 times. Now it is no big deal, and if I feel the need to cry, I do it. It is healthy to express those feelings that way, and very unhealthy not to do so.

Everyone has their "peccadilloes." They are human just like everyone else. They just have more money or status than some of the other "famous people" and most of us. I find it amusing that you only name Oprah and the Pope together out of all the people you could pair together or name! lol

Not really. A person can not experience more than one real emotion at the same time. Anger and happiness, no. Happiness and sadness, no. How would you define a 'miracle'?
If I see it with my own eyes, or others I trust do, I will believe it is a miracle. Otherwise, it is just hearsay or a guess, or there is another explanation for it.
A miracle can happen in my opinion, and have NOTHING to do with religion.

I am not able to “add comment on this answer” for a while. Do you guys have same problem or is it just me?
It happens to me all the time. Sometimes I just cancel the comment and come back later and the servers will take it quickly. Other times, if it is an answer and it is slow to post, I stupidly hit submit 2 times, and it goes through and it will post the question 2 times. :)
Server lag is all it is, and it happens to many of us. It's very unpredictable at this point still.

People do not find love. They find people and over a course of time and events and having great compatibility and doing things together, love can develop if you are lucky and have picked the right person.
It is something that develops. The first and most important part is to find great friends first with whom you enjoy spending alot of time. Then, if it is the right person, one of those...

Do you know who invented some of our daily items like the shower gel, pencil, fabric sofner, toilet ect.....?
The Toilet History:
Seated toilets with drainage systems date back to 2500 B.C.
However, it seems the idea of toilets "went down the drain" until the mid-1700s. The first valve-type flush toilet was introduced in 1738 by a man named J.F. Brondel.
We've all heard stories about the toilet being invented by man named Crapper. Crapper didn't invent the toilet, but was...

Tuna, (Drained white albacore in spring water) celery, low fat drained cottage cheese instead of mayo (it works and is good!), sweet relish, green bell pepper, and a touch of Grey Poupon mustard, and some black cracked pepper.

I would tell them the truth. I rarely carry cash unless 1-2 dollars, and always use debit cards or checks. They could have some spare change or $1-2. but that would be it simply because I did not have it and also I don't like dolling out money to strangers, no matter how sad they look. I am not sure it helps many of them.

I heard and have read about this for years, have used it (as has my wife) and it works quite well for us. People who do not believe we have the power to affect what comes to us (good or bad) are naive I think.
