I was playing a final fantasy X game my friend let me borrowed and it was sratched up a tiny bit, but when I got to the part of the game where these guys harpooned sin on the boat the beggining of th game it froze, I tried acholo on it but it did not work my suggestion is to take your friends game to the nearest video game rental shop and ask them if they will put it in thier cleaner. almost all rental places have them and most of the time they wont mind letting you use it. these machines actualy hit the cd with a laser and remove the scratches. it is amazing how well they work.

As a DM, how do you handle the death of a PC party member? one of the things that I have done to encourage players to work harder to keep a character is send them on a side quest to revive the character. A priest offers to revive your comrade for free IF you help him with a little problem he is having. Make it worth thier while too. Throw in some decent loot and a good bit of xp so that the players dont feel like they wasted thier time.
