Answer to:
If you had identical twins, would you name them with similar or rhyming names and dress them alike?
NO. Twins face enough challenges with their identity, especially if they are identical, and particularly with how much of a novelty people still think it is to come across a set. They are individual people who are often VERY different and should be encouraged to develop those personalities from birth. Dressing twins in identical outfits, giving them rhyming names - it's all for the enjoyment...

My bf and I would like to have twins someday, although its highly unlikely since neither of our families have twins. Is it still possible?
Neither my husband nor I have twins in our family, yet we have two sets, both fraternal. We are living proof that it can happen. Keep in mind - once you have one set of twins, you are more likely to conceive twins again than if your first baby was a singleton. Good luck! Twins are fabulous - but an incredible amount of hard work.

Answer to:
What are you sick of people blaming God for? Why?
Nothing. Sometimes people need someone or something to blame to help them try to understand or cope with some of the senseless or devastating things that happen in the world. You shouldn't look harshly upon your brother who blames God for the troubles in his life or for the natural disaster that destroyed his house, or anything. If God exists, He isn't fussing over it. It's more important to...

Being run over is deterrent enough to stop most people walking in traffic. Why are some countries so stupid they need laws against it?
Countries aren't stupid, people are. More and more in this increasingly dumbed down world we live in do people need the blatantly obvious spelled out for them. There are some people who genuinely do not understand or can not grasp the concept that walking in traffic is dangerous. City councils also put signs up to protect themselves from a legal standpoint - if they have gone to reasonable...

What would be a good pair of rhyming names for a pair of twins?
*cringes* Please don't give your children rhyming names. They are only going to grow up to resent it and more to the point, it's kind of on the nose. They're individual people who deserve to be given names that they can own, not that are pre-chosen for them before they are born based on cutesyness or the fact that they "sound good together". Instead of becoming frustrated, why don't you start by asking your child what is wrong or what she needs? We all know that threenagers can be difficult to cope with sometimes, but your child is behaving the way she is for a reason. Perhaps she is bored or understimulated. A regular amount, I suppose. Although my immaturity tends to manifest itself in ways that I am generally okay with (I love kids movies, and I'm terrible for laughing at fart jokes) there's of course those times and moments where I might react to something in a way that isn't as mature as it could be. Because being "trained to kill" does not give anyone cart blanche to go about that duty with a lack of respect or humanity or compassion for the life that has been taken. People are saying negative things because humans are creatures of habit and most of us can't handle change that is very sudden. Of course. We all grow up and experience things that change who we are and what we believe in, what we want from life, etc, etc.

If you killed somebody you believed to be a zombie can you be prosecuted?
Lets say someone knocked on your door with a severed limb groaning and you truly believe they've turned into a zombie, could you be done for murder even if you are protecting yself
Well, considering that zombies don't exist in reality, what you have described is murder.
If you then, upon being arrested for shooting someone in the head, explained to the police that you honestly believed your victim was a zombie and you were merely trying to protect yourself, you would be assessed by a mental health professional.
On the grounds that you are deemed insane or had...

Do you think people in chatrooms are psychotic and stalkerish?
Most of them are, yes.
The way I see it: If someone has to loiter in chatrooms online to get their fix of human contact, there must be something quite seriously wrong with them. That isn't the kind of person I would willingly invite into my life.

Someone has told me that it is ridiculous to reply 'Thanks' to every answer I receive on AB. Your opinion?
I agree with that person.
I absolutely HATE it when people give me the meaningless and generic "Thanks" comment. It's such a waste of my time and it is more often than not, not a sincere thank you but rather an attempt to fulfill some ideal that we all must be overly polite at all times. I don't consider it good manners to do that.

If your kid scewed around for all his life and was the worst ever, but then went and sobered up in a 18 month program; would you let them live with you so they could go to college to build a solid future, or would you send them to live in a mission?
This question hurts my heart.
Of course I would allow my child to stay with me so that they could go to college to build a solid future. I would love that, to help them, especially after they were brave and committed enough to accomplish something like sobriety in 18 months. I would respect the hell out of that kind of achievement and would do everything I possibly could to help them get...

Guys Only!!! Why is it that some guys will seek out a woman with kids(that's equally or maybe less attractive)instead of the woman that's single, attractive, w/o kids for a relationship?
Your question implies that you consider a single woman with a child or children to be less attractive or appealing than a single woman with no children.
Maybe it's the women that they're attracted to, and those women just happen to have children. Ever think about that?

I used to. She was very subtle about it at first, but after many years of "friendship" she stopped sugar coating everything and was more often than not downright aggressive and nasty with her comments.

Absolutely. It's such a pain in the arse to maintain.
One of the biggest selling points for us when we bought our house was that it is 95% tiled and hardwood floors. Only a few of the formal rooms are carpeted. It makes life a hell of a lot easier not trying to constantly clean up spills and messes out of carpet.

As for people competing with me, well, it's no exaggeration to say that I have to constantly deal with women throwing themselves at my husband or openly flirting with him, often right in front of me.

Complete honesty here: What goes through your head when you see a gay couple in public? Do you think it's cool that they don't care what others think? Do you think, 'no big deal'? Or are you disgusted?
I honestly take more interest in and am happier to see gay couples than I am straight couples.
My immediate thought is "Aww! How sweet".

Why is it when someone says they didn't like Michael, they either get Drd or a nasty comment or answer? I am sorry he's dead but why is it NOT alright not to have liked him?
Of course it's alright to have not liked him.
To speak in cruel and unfounded terms about a human being who has just lost their life is NOT okay. The people who are posing these anti-MJ questions are more often than not using the words "pedophile" or "child molester".

Why has the death of Michael Jackson touched so many people?
It has touched me because I grew up listening to his music. There are literally significant points in my life that I associate with a Michael Jackson song. My love of dancing and music was hugely influenced by him.
It's actually really hard to put into words why his death has touched me and affected me the way it has. He was iconic. He was the myth, the man, the legend. He was an...

When you read your name on a piece of paper, do you ever feel like its not yours, or when looking in a mirror do you ever, just for a second, feel that you're not really seeing yourself?
Yes. It's a pretty profound thing. I've had times where I've stared at myself in disbelief that that is ME. That is what I look like. That is what other people see.
I think it's a really neat thing, to be able to step outside of yourself and see yourself from a third party perspective.

Waiters and barista staff put up with an unfathomable amount of abuse from customers and their bosses in the food and beverage industry. I have six sister-in-laws. They all have at least two children. I, myself, have three children and am currently carrying a second set of twins.
I can't imagine that any of them would be offended or would feel that it really not being a good time to stay was rejection. They know how difficult it can be to manage a household, raise children and be pregnant all at once.

I love the fashion in Vogue, but they have been instrumental over the past 50 years in pushing the stick-thin model image. There isn't a model in their magazines that is bigger than a US size 8. I do not know anyone who is smaller than a size 10, which is, quite frankly, tiny.

No. Not ever.
Living at home with your Mum and Grandma at the age of 24 is bordering on tragic. Rightly or wrongly, there's a certain social stigma that is attached to adults who live at home well into their 20's and 30's. It implies (wittingly or unwittingly) an image of someone who lacks the life skills to make it on their own, or, even worse still, someone who could move...

You're a mother. Stop thinking about yourself and the way people think of you and start thinking about your child. Your child is your first priority now. Not whether your friends from school think you're easy.

You did believe your friend, you said so yourself. So as far as I am concerned, your girlfriend has every right to be angry at you. She's your girlfriend - if you have issues within your relationship, you should talk to her about them, not take the word of your gossiping friends as gospel.
The lesson learned here should be about communication. You can't be in a relationship and not...

Finding out I was pregnant would have been a lot easier if I hadn't been so utterly stunned that nearly everything I thought I knew about sex and pregnancy was wrong. But, that's a Catholic education for you.

Some of the plug-in ones are absolutely beautiful. Glade makes a Peppermint scented one that my daughter is crazy about it. I'm sure that the subtle, soothing scent helps her sleep at night, too.
Generally, though, we have all the windows open, all the time. Living in a tropical state like the one I do, you can't live without fresh air. There's nothing like it.

Is it possible for three people to be in a marriiage with each other at the same time. Say a man is married to two women who in turn are in their own lesbian marriage?
Why would two lesbians want to be married to a man? That doesn't make sense.
If they were bi-sexual, then sure, I could understand that, but gay people haven't fought as hard and as long as they have for gay marriage to turn around and marry someone of the opposite sex.
As for being legal, polyandry is against the law.

It takes more than one person finding the other "hot" for a relationship to work.
Physical chemistry is very important. You either have it with someone, or you don't. It is not something that can be forced.

That said, I can't imagine - and don't want to imagine - what living would be like without him. I would feel as though an enormous part of me was missing and I can say with...

Women can't stand me and I can't stand women. I am almost always instantly hated on sight by other women. It's a phenomenon I've come to deal with and I don't let it bother me anymore. I enjoy male company infinitely more than I do that of women. I think it is probably because I have very "male" attitudes and ways of thinking about most things.

Most little kids love to be naked, are nudists people that never grow out of that?
Nudists are people who have not forgotten that freedom and innocence and who have not been corrupted by society into believing that nudity must always be sexual and that sexuality is wrong.
I have been a nudist going on 7 years now and it is a lifestyle choice that is infinitely beneficial. It has nothing at all to do with sexuality or being an exhibitionist. It is about being comfortable in...

Is it legal for Bank of America to cancel my credit card if I have no late payments, and available credit still on the card?
It was probably just a mistake. Banks do make errors from time to time and I'm sure if you called them to advise them of their mistake they would be happy to remedy the situation.
If you have good credit with them, then it is in their best interest to keep you as a happy customer. If you're really miffed, ask them to waive your monthly or annual account keeping fees for the trouble.

Answer to:
Name something that most of us would consider not only annoying but also disrespectful.
Two things:
Firstly, parents who let their children have free reign of any and all public property where they can and will disrupt and get in the way of other people.
Secondly, people who are careless and aggressive when they drive, who change lanes without indicating and who either drive excessively slow or excessively fast.

HristHow many Christians on AB have a mormon in there direct family? How do you cope with this?
What the hell?
Why would someone, let alone a Christian, have to "cope with" having a person of Mormon faith in their family?
You're not a real Christian if you are intolerant and unloving towards others - especially those who have a different beliefs system than you do. You should be heartily ashamed of yourself.

What type of question (that has been asked multiple times in different forms) do you get sick of really fast? I have seen at least 10 "Am I pregnant" questions in the 1/2 hour that I have been on here today.
People asking questions about why other members don't award points for answers, or why other members don't respond to their comments, or why other members downrate, or should other members have to give a reason for their downrate, or should people who downrate be publicly exposed and flagellated for all to see.
Really, it is all so utterly tedious.

If my dog has a tapeworm how do i get rid of it
Tapeworm is easily treated by purchasing tapeworm tablets from your vet or local supermarket.
It wouldn't hurt to take your dog in for a check-up with the vet. Tapeworm and other conditions are very easily prevented by giving your pet a tablet once or twice every quarter or by using a ointment such as Advantage.
Answer to:
My 2 1/2 yr old just got over an ear infection and she had to take an antibotic and now It looks like she has a yeast infection.. what can I use on her?
Yeast infections in women and girls are very common when taking an antibiotic course of Penicillin.
She will need to go back to the doctor for an examination and to be prescribed an ointment or other non-penicillin course of antibiotic to kill the infection.

I do everything he wants sexually. How do i get him to show at least SOME interest in pleasing me?
Stop doing everything to please him until he wakes up to himself and realises that sex is about mutual enjoyment and reciprocation - not one person enjoying themselves without returning the favour.
Sex can be passionate, it can be loving, it can be quick and fast - but it always must be about BOTH people enjoying themselves and wanting to be with each other.

Love and relationships aren't what they were 50 years ago. Blind trust and loyal devotion without first asking questions or being smart about your choices are becoming increasingly rare. Would you or have you ever named a child after one of the parents? Such as jr. or II (second)?
No, we don't really like the idea of naming a child after someone else in our family. I understand that it is usually done to honour someone or out of memory of them, or to carry on a tradition, but neither of us are traditionalists. We prefer our children to have their own names that belong to them and that aren't associated with anyone else in our family.

What could be a cause of feeling hungry but when you actually eat it makes you feel uneasy. When you drink liquid it eases a little.
I have those symptoms when I am depressed.
I get very hungry, but when I sit down to eat something I can only take a few bites before I feel unwell or completely uninterested in food. Drinking liquids is fine.
Perhaps book an appointment with your GP to discuss your symptoms with them. We can only give you very general advice at best.
