(Which would facilitate faster healing?) i would definitely use anti-bacterial (and moisturizing) ointement, especially considering the new stain of antibiotic-resistant staph infection. although, it doesn't help if you keep it constantly covered with mass quantities of ointment. use a reasonable amount and use a bandage as well to help keep it clean.
