Do you think Myspace is an un safe place for teens to be. Why or Why not.
The Internet can be unsafe for "kids" period. Thing is, mommy and daddy need to pay more attention to what little Johnny and Mary are doing. Remove the Internet access from their bedrooms and keep a centralized location in a "family" area where they can be looked in on while surfing the net.

Who is gonna buy "Windows Vista" when it launches
Installed xandrOS as an alternative. Will keep XP in place but use xandrOS for Internet activities. I hate bloated operating systems and Vista really adds nothing worth paying through the nose for.

Answer to:
How does a website generate revenue when it is not selling anything?
(there are no pop ups with this site..just a sidebar for donations and such)
I don't personally don't know anyone that loves pop-ups and banner ads. Google Adsense, and other PPC advertising methods are more effective if used properly.

Answer to:
How do i defrag my computer on the new windows system?
Personally, the Windows Defrag utility is quite basic and you would be better off with an app such as Diskeeper to do the job more effectively.

Answer to:
With modern operating systems, are there any particular reasons to partition a hard drive?
Keep in mind that larger hard drives, although nice, can increase the amount of time needed to do scans, such as those by anti-virus programs, spybot and defrag utilities. Considering most new pc's come with ample disk space, creating several partitions for the OS of your choice, storage and additional backup is wise.

I replaced the hard drive in my laptop. The old one was a 20 gig and the new one is a 60, but it only only shows 20 when I go to C drive properties. Why is this?
Scubabob is most likely on the right track here. Flashing the bios [if possible for your motherboard] will usually take care of any issues such as this [including memory limitations].

When you delete a file from your computer, is it really gone forever?
"Secure Deletion of Data from Magnetic and Solid-State Memory" by Peter Gutmann might be useful info for everyone here. The "Gutmann Pass" uses 35 consecutive writes. Peter states "To erase magnetic media, we need to overwrite it many times with alternating patterns in order to expose it to a magnetic field oscillating fast enough that it does the desired flipping of...
Answer to:
How do I get rid of excess fragments on a just defraged hard drive
Not ALL files on your drive can be defragmented while your OS is in operation. By design, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 do not allow a paging file [due to data integrity issues related to the way Windows maintains the paging file], Master File Table [MFT] and other associated files on an NTFS volume to be defragmented online [when the computer is running and the operating...

What's the difference between MB and GB when speaking about the specifications of a hard drive (or any other time, really)?
To clear up the obvious here. Both answers here are correct, depending on how your HD is set up [which manufacturer]. Western Digital considers a gigabyte to be 1000 megabytes. Windows uses the 1,024 preference. So in short, a gigabyte can be considered either 1,000 megabytes or 1,024 megabytes.
