Answer to:
I can not get into this new AB how about you?
I find it difficult to navigate, and is very user unfriendly.
Answer to:
Why would AB do a cosmetic overhaul and make everything harder to work when what was really needed was fixing image uploading?
I think the staff was not considering the long term members. Many are older and are not computer savvy.I see by the pictures of the staff they are all young, and probably computer experts.Since they took the point of view that they are good at new programs they figured all ABers are experts. Many could just give up and leave the site, mostly out of confusion and frustration. If the site was changed...

Many native populations of all counties believe that animals have souls. The Hindus and Buddhists also believe so.

With climate change it is the polar regions that feel it first and is a sign of things to come in other regions.Studies have shown that in the summer polar bears hunt seals by swimming from a small ice floe to another. They take their prey and drag it to the ice floe. With climate change the ice floes are melting and are much more farther away from each other so polar bears drown.

Should not the allegations of infidelity about celebrities like Tiger Woods be classified as gossip, because the stories have yet to be verified? Are sensationalistic stories like this "news"? Why/why not?
Over the last many decades the news has been moving away from facts and towards speculation.Very often news sources have to go back on what was wrong with the original story. They do not admit to mistakes, but call them news updates. So the unverified stories affect celebrities character and public opinion.

Are Americans ready for high-speed inter-city rail service?

Are governments using global warming as an excuse to raise taxes?
The banks should lend billions of dollars to companies that are eco-friendly.These loans should be backed by the government if the companies get into financial difficulties.
Then electric cars can be made to be more efficient with batteries that last at least a week between charges, and also to make the electric car so common that it would be the same price as gas driven cars.
Companies that...

What's at stake in Copenhagen?
What is at stake is that countries that do not do their part need to be convinced of the seriousness of climate change. It needs to get away from the political agenda and concentrate on science.

I would not doubt it,for controversy has already started.Europe is the only continent that will meet it's global obligations when it comes to climate change.Countries that have oil and gas reserves will have little incentive to agree to cut back the use of oil and gas.
Global climate change should be left to honest scientists and the problems solved, regardless of what the oil and gas...

It is sad that little attention is paid to the victim in this crime,Meridith Kercher the British student. If this was the conviction in the US the news say she would have gotten a life sentence, longer than she had gotten in Italy. With good behavior she could be out in 20 years. It is unlikely she will win an appeal for higher courts in Italy rarely appose the decision made in the lower courts.

Spiritually speaking - which is the best movie with a spiritual message?
I thought the first "Matrix" movie had many spiritual overtones. It had twisted a few things, like saying the world is a matrix,as apposed to it was a delusion."The one" was like a spiritual leader helping others out of the matrix, and the gatekeepers(in the movie they were agents, though in a spiritual sense it could mean the ego)are to keep the mind away from these ideals.

Should we cut down on the number of Christmas gifts we give?
Yes,for sure.I can remember by dad having so many gifts under the tree and we could barely see the tree.We knew he went into debt buying all these useless gifts.Eventually we cut down to one affordable gift each.Giving gifts is not really giving if the giver is in debt to the bank.It is a big scam.

Answer to:
For anyone who eats meat: Would you be prepared to kill, prepare and cook your meat?
That is a good point,if meat eaters really had to kill the meat they eat(chicken, pig, cattle, etc)they would think again about eating meat.
These days people barely associate the food they eat with the bird or animal.
The factories that grow livestock are very cautious and will not allow people in to see the condition the animals live in.SO we do not know they live in confined places in filth....

I like Obama but disagree with the strategy of sending in more troops to an un-winnable conquest.Eight years is plenty enough time to see that it is not working.
He will loose a lot of votes from Democratic voters by deciding to go against the wishes of at least half the nation.

Support your answer with facts, not praise or insults.
I do not feel she is qualified in any way.Her point of view of life is very narrow and most americans do not agree with it.Many things she had done in the media will come back to haunt her, making her an impossible candidate.
We had seen what happened during her run for VP,and President is another step up.She was instrumental in many jumping from the Republican party to he Democrats.

I would say the doctors that prescribed these addictive drugs are very much to blame. If doctors are to be trusted for out health, and are this much ignorant of the consequences of prescribing these lethal drugs then they should not be allowed to practice medicine. In fact they should be serving prison terms for their actions. They were trusted and failed to do their jobs properly.

I think atheists,no matter how many generations do NOT feel at a loss by not believing in gods,or religion. They do not resent religion for they have little to do with it,even in conversation.Since we really do not know what happens to us after we loose the mortal coil, atheists feel that it is just the end of life.

I thought is was very thought provoking.I knew already that the founders were not Christians and did not want any one religion favored over other religions, and that atheism is also a choice one can make.Religious groups should not have the power to influence government in the means they had in this video.
If the US is truly secular, then religion should be left in their places of worship only.

The core problem with government-run health care is that it doesn't make decisions in the best interests of patients, but in the best interests of government.
It is the private insurance industry that make decisions on their own best interests only. They seek profits only and do not give a damn about the patients. They would find any way to weasel out of paying for medical service to the patience if it saves them money.
The government would not be doing health care for their own interests.WHY would the government have interest in cheating patients ??????

Why is world hunger a problem with poverty and not a problem with food production?
World hunger happens because of attitude. It is the old out of sight out of mind attitude. There is little media coverage of the people in other parts of the world and their starving. They are deemed unimportant, and not worth saving. It is sickening the attitude of as long as I got what I want, forget the rest.
Africa,in many parts of it,are the forgotten continent. There is plenty of food and water...

By biblical standards, do you think your going to Heaven or to Hell?
I guess it is like trying to get into the NFL.A lot of people try out,but most do not make the cut.The stipulations are very unclear,so I do not know if a murderer that repents and find Jesus goes to heaven,or a complete non believer of any form of religion that lives a decent life goes to Hell.
The whole thing seems very immature to me,as adults we should use common sense and reason.

Do you agree with the public option in health care reform?
Yes I do,and the president should not accept anything less.Without this vital option, there is no option. The only choices would be the private insurers. Most will choose the public option and the private companies would scream that it is unfair.
Secondly these measures should come into effect immediately and not take years to get fully going.

Is Christmas a religious or a commercial holiday?
In North America it seems to be more a commercial holiday. The santa we associate is a character made up by a soft drink company in the 1930's.The reindeer were made up by a major department store around the same time.It is centered around the tree(a pagan ritual) and the major issue is gifts. The families now have a reason to meet and have a week or weekend visit with food and merryment.
