Answer to:
What was the last thing you made by hand?
Does a pie count? Or a whole turkey dinner?
If not, the last thing I made by hand was a whole lot of crocheted sweaters for my daughters, nieces and grandsons. Christmas presents last year. I guess I am not crocheting anything this year.

Answer to:
Have you ever known somebody that was murdered? who were they and what happened?
My grandfather was shot to death by a deserter from the Canadian army. He was a guide in the Maine wilderness, and the deserter happened to be hiding in a cabin when my grandfather came along. I didn't know him, this happened before I was born, but he's related to me.
A girl I used to work with was found stabbed to death at her home, she had dropped her baby off at the babysitter and...

Would using an antidepressant (such as 10 mg Lexapro) for a month be long enough to cause significant long-term side effects if you off it? Would this have a significant impact on your brain?
Lexapro can cause withdrawal symptoms, even after just a month. My daughter was on it for a while, and when her depression ended (it was actually a symptom of a more serious disease, Addison's), she had to wean herself off to prevent the irregular heartbeat she experienced when stopping suddenly.

Why do people at higher levels (On AB) dislike people at lower levels?
I have never felt slighted by those with more points than me. Maybe you are paranoid, or ask questions that irritate other people, but you can't blame that on the number of points you have.

I used to be gay throughout my teen years and my younger years. But when i was 23 I converted to heterosexuality when i became a christian and im now 26 and engaged to a beautifull girl and i was wandering should i tell her im an ex gay or not mention it?
This question really hits home with me. My daughter's best friend in school declared to the world that he was gay at the age of 17. At that time he had never experienced any kind of sexual relationship with either a male or a female. A couple years later my daughter came to me to tell me that she was pregnant, and that her gay friend was the father. He told us then that he had been...

Has anyone used Lowe's installation service? Was it outrageously expensive? Kitchen countertops and sink, is what I am considering having done.
Another update on Lowe's installation service. At this point in time if someone asks my advice on who to use, I will tell them, DON'T call Lowe's!
After the installation guy finally got here to finish my kitchen, it turned out that he can't measure, and I would have a 10 inch gap between the fridge and dishwasher. We decided to special order a cabinet to fit the space. It...

A man kills his wife who is pregnant, he is charged for two murders... A woman has an abortion (killing her own child)... Not charged for murder... What are your opinions on this?...
The fact is, an abortion is legal, forcing a woman to have an abortion is not, especially if the death of her baby comes as a result of her death. I would never have an abortion, but it isn't my place to tell anyone they can't have one. Scott Peterson (of Modesto, CA) killed his wife when she was 8 months pregnant, he was convicted of 2 murders, and is on death row. The CA feticide...

Have you ever been poor? If you feel comfortable, give details.
I have always been poor. My mother raised 7 kids on waitress wages without child support from my father. My clothes all came from older siblings, who got them from thrift stores. I never thought much about it, and no one really made fun of me for wearing hand-me-down-agains. My kids had it a little better off, until their father moved out, also not paying his child support. My boyfriend doesn't defend me when his father insults me from left to right and the father watches my every move. I asked my boyfriend why he didn't defend me and his response was, "My father is just joking. He's always like that." What should I do?
I tell my grandson all the time, "It is only a joke if it makes everyone laugh. If you are the only one who thinks it is funny, then it is an insult, not a joke"
If your bf doesn't have guts enough to tell his father to keep his "jokes" to himself, then he is not going to stand up to his father on more important issues. If his father is verbally abusive, I can guess...

I went through this with my mother's credit cards. Some of them had life insurance on them, and were paid off with that. Her estate only consisted of household goods, which went to auction (where we made no money, after we paid the auction house). We just told them there was no money in the...

I doubt that you are keeping it a secret from him. He is a non smoker, and he can smell smoke on you. Sure, you can eat a mint and maybe mask the smell on your breath, but the smell comes from your lungs, not your mouth. Smoke gets in your clothes and hair, smoking leaves yellow stains on your fingers. I suspect he knows you are smoking, and just hasn't confronted you about it.

Nothing has pissed me off today. Actually, it started rather well. I went to the corner store and saw the cashier had a patch on her eye, and asked her what happened. It turns out she had a brain aneurysm, and when they did surgery they irritated her optic nerve, and her eye looks to the side of her head (a temporary thing). All my cars have been junky. The last one was a 1979 brown Ford LTD that my husband got for $300 at an auction. I told him not to buy it, but he did anyway. The transmission went out shortly after we got it, the starter went out, the passenger door wouldn't open. He replaced that with a 1992 Chevy Corsica he got for $150 from a "friend". Have you tried specifically asking him to help with a task? Maybe he just doesn't know what he needs to do, or how to do it. He was good for playing with them, but at the first sign of a cry, he was handing them back to me. There isn't a...

I don't know what the reason is for seperate accounts, that is not something I would do in a marriage. Anyway, did you talk to him about needing the money? Is it something you need to buy for the home? Unless you are willing to give him an ultimatum and stick with it, there really isn't much you can do. You are more likely to survive if you wear the seatbelt, and more likely to have less serious injuries. My husband was in a wreck many years ago, if he been wearing his seatbelt, he would not have spent 6 weeks with his broken jaw wired shut, eating only what could be sucked through a straw. Ignorance of the law is not a good defense. I suppose the same goes for rules. I am not sure what rule you broke, whether it was a school rule, a rule at home, or a rule at work. An old fashioned remedy for extra dry hands is to apply shortening, wear cotton gloves and sleep with it on. My friend has a son who is 2 1/2 and he don't say much. He points and grunts and his mom figures out what he wants and gives it to him. I told her to make him tell her what he wants. She tells me that its no big deal. is it a big deal? should mind my own?
She should have his vision tested. My nephew still wasn't speaking much at the age of 3, so his doctor said he needed his eyes tested. He needed glasses, and once he could see, his speech improved immensly. He also went to speech therapy where he learned sign language, which I understand helps youngsters learn to speak.

How did cops and doughnuts become best friends?
The restaurant I worked in always gave officers in uniform free coffee and donuts. I don't know if other places do the same, or if that has to do with how cops became associated with donuts.

Can rabbits be hermaprodites?I bought a buck last month and I have raised rabbits for years so I know the difference, he is an older rabbit also.today when I checked on him there were dead babies in his cage. I looked again and he definately had a penis?
I don't know about rabbits, but I suppose it is possible. I had a cat that had 3 boy kittens. My daughters took 2 of them, when it came time to have them neutered, one of them only had one testicle, the other had one undescended testicle that was the size of a fingernail. The vet explored his internal reproductive organs, because she thought he may be a hermaphrodite, since he had nearly...

No, and according to my doctor, it's a genetic thing. He said I must have inherited mom's good genes, as she had 7 kids, and no stretch marks, and I had 5 with no stretch marks.

No, and most likely if his wife hears about it, and leaves him, he will chase after her, apologize, say you don't mean a thing to him and he will never cheat again. Either that, or he will deny you and he ever happened, that you made it all up and he barely knows you. Is it odd that me and my girlfriend have been dating for over 14 months and still on first base, and both of us are not virgins?
It may be unusual, but I think it is perfectly okay. Just because you are not virgins doesn't mean you have to have sex with each other right away. It is good to take your time with the relationship, get to know each other first.

I have a 2 year old child with a man whom I never married. We went to court for support &visits now he owes more than $1500.00 in arrears and now wants every weekend overnights. Will he get them?
I was told that child support and visitation are 2 seperate issues. Whether the father pays his support, he gets to visit. I never really disagreed with that, because my children, or their support were not a tool to use against my ex husband. He is still paying child support and his youngest child turns 21 tomorrow, he will continue paying until he has paid back everything he is in arrears for....

Is the aunt more of a mom because the parents don't pay attention to her, or do you think more money makes her more of a mom? My nephew's parents didn't pay much attention to him, he had ADHD, and most of the time they wouldn't get his meds for him. I know a lot about them, of course, most of them are grown up and on their own. I have become the one they call when they have a problem or want to vent about someone. The youngest one (11 yo) still confides in me a lot, but I have no doubts that they all keep stuff hidden from me.

Yes, when my husband had his left foot amputated, and our house was not handicapped accessible. I was almost jealous of him laying around having someone do his walking.

I believe you can do anything with ashes, bury them somewhere, scatter them, keep them in an urn. Ashes are sterile, so there isn't a biohazard, and decomposition isn't a problem. My mother scattered her brother's ashes in a park he loved. My ex father in law's ashes were buried in a coffee can (his request, one he had on his back porch).

Are you sure he wants to get married? Either he is a selfish man, or he is making excuses to avoid marriage. On the other hand, why are you giving him ultimatums about his smoking? Was he a smoker when you fell in love with him? Attempting to change a man into the one we really want usually fails, you are better off looking for a non smoker who isn't stingy.

Why does a ball bounce better on a wooden floor than on a carpet? (make answer understandable for kids ages 10-11)
The carpet is soft, and absorbs some of the energy from the ball, making the bounce smaller. The wooden floor is hard and pushes back as hard as the ball, so the bounce is higher.

What do you think of young children being asked by their schools to go door-to-door selling chocolate, wrapping paper, magazines, etc., to raise money for the schools?
Do you usually buy this stuff when a kid comes to your door?
Our local schools don't ask kids to go door to door anymore. They actually recommend having the parents take the brochures to work with them, and only go door to door if their parent goes with them. I don't usually buy because I have nieces and nephews who are going to want me to buy from them.

They (allegedly) cover it to keep predators (or the other cats) from knowing they have been there. To be smelled is to be eaten, in the wild. I think the main thing you need to deal with is is her cheating. You can always do a paternity test to see if the baby is yours or not. If you can get past her one night stand, and the relationship works, the paternity of the baby shouldn't be that big an issue. It is possible to love a baby regardless of it's DNA matching yours.

He will stop doing that the first time he gets a mouthful of used litter. I think all cats play in the litter when it is fresh. I don't worry about identity theft, mainly because there isn't a criminal alive that would attempt to steal my identity. With my lousy credit rating, all they would get is turned down by all the credit card companies.

Can you feed newborn puppies infant formula as a milk replacement
I think they probably make a puppy formula. I have fed baby rabbits kitten formula (on the advice of a vet). Since there is so much difference between babies and puppies, you would probably be better off getting the formula made for puppies.

When was the last time you acted irrational and acted out of character?
On Sept. 6, 2006. The day of my mother's funeral, the kids were doing their usual "I can't find my shoes (hairbrush, etc.)" We were running later than I wanted to be, and I threw a temper tantrum. Stomping my feet, screaming, crying, just like you would expect a 2 yr old to do. I apologized for my behavior as soon as it struck me it wasn't the kids' fault I was...

If you were claimed as a dependent on your mom/dad tax return, which excludes you from Earned Income credit for your own child, but you claimed your child for earned income credit already, what are the chances of the IRS spotting this?
When my ex husband and I accidentally claimed the same child (he was supposed to claim one, I the other, we both claimed the same one) the IRS caught it right away, sent a letter asking if one of us had the wrong SS#, I had to send an amended return with the correct child on it.

Well, abortion is not your mom's decision, or your ex boyfriend's decision. I assume you are not an adult? Still, you are the one who gets to decide if you want an abortion, or to have the baby and raise it, or even have the baby and give it up for adoption. The main advice I have for you is, if you keep the baby, make sure you get some child support from your ex. Don't spend a...

Has anyone out there used invisalign "braces"? Do they cost a lot? Does it hurt? Did it really make a large difference?
I haven't used them, but my daughter has. She liked them, they did work in straightening her teeth, but they did hurt for a bit each time she had them adjusted. I am not sure what the cost of them is (she is an adult), but I am sure they cost more than regular braces. She thought they were worth it, not to have the silver showing in her mouth, and the convenience of taking the invisalign...

If you are fed up, and ready to be done with this relationship, why ask what you should do? Just forget about him. He changed his number, either because of you, or your ma (why would she be calling and harassing him anyway?), so obviously he is ready for it to be over with. So, the answer is, do nothing.

What is the approximate average cost to rent/buy a medium sized house or apartment in your town? ... where?
Around here (smallish city in Kansas) you can rent a 4 bdrm 1 bath house for about $700 a month, this is for one that has the same wallpaper and carpet it had in 1976. For a nicer place, you would probably spend up to a thousand. To buy an older house, in a not so nice neighborhood, 3 bdrm 1 bath, about $73,000. In a nicer neighborhood, $98,000. In the newest neighborhood, you could pay up to...

Should someone intervene when parents deny medical treatment for their young children? For example - a child with cancer is denied chemotherapy in favor of homeopathy or other alternative therapy, or all treatment is denied for religious reasons.
Chemotherapy is harsh. It makes people sick. Sometimes chemo is an attempt to lengthen a life, rather than cure the cancer. If a parent doesn't want to watch their child suffer through that just for a chance of a few more months, they shouldn't be forced to. Is it the quantity of the remaining life that matters, or the quality? IMO, the quality is more important.

Is he 18 now? Is he younger than that and choosing someone else to raise him now? If he is 18, you should be like a mother would be, let him go, and keep loving him. I would think you would wonder if you were dead. For a first person account of how this might feel, read the book Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo. Why was it more common for people to have alot of kids back then and now its not as common? my guess is because aids and stuff wasnt as common.
"Back then" people didn't have readily available effective birth control. I think they probably needed all the help they could get to run their farms, and having more kids was a way to do it.
Now, we have better birth control, and no longer need as many people to help out with chores. We have also realized that if every family had 12 kids, we will run out of room eventually.

When I worked in restaurants, and kids spilled their drinks, most of the time their parents were more embarassed, and would usually yell at the kids. Usually, as I was serving water, I would spill on purpose, then smile at the kid and say, "See, even big people spill stuff sometimes, don't worry about it"

Yes, you can still become pregnant. Now that I have answered your question, I want to offer some advice. If you don't want to be pregnant, use a condom. The bigger issue is, pregnancy is a temporary condition, there are other conditions you can get that are NOT temporary. What is the best costume you ever wore for Halloween?
When I was a kid in charge of making my own costumes, I was usually a ghost. I wasn't very creative. The best costume I ever made was a spongebob for my daughter. I didn't have the money that year to buy a costume, so I made it with stuff I already had. She loved it so much she wore it 2 yrs in a row.
Answer to:
At what age should kids get a mobile or cell phone?
I think it depends on the kid. Some kids are responsible at a younger age than others. My 11 yr old got a cell phone (prepaid) for Christmas from her older sister. It comes in handy, for times when she is at a church function we are not sure when it will end. She can call me when she is ready. She also uses it to call her older sister, who lives in a small town 20 miles from here, we don't...

Should boosting the sound level of commercials be illegal?
If you are talking about how much louder the commercials are compared to the show you are watching, I wish it were ilegal. It is so annoying when you crank up the volume to hear the show, and then wake up the neighborhood when a commercial comes on.

Would you loan a large amount of money to a friend?
I would give a friend a large amount of money, if I had it to spare. Loans only complicate things, but if I could afford to help a friend, and they gave the money back eventually, great. If I never got the money back, that's okay too, since it wasn't a loan.

Are you a organ donor?
My driver's license says I am a donor, and my family knows if there is anything left worth donating, they need to donate it. My mother's corneas were donated (with her cancer, wasn't much else we could donate), allowing a teenager to see for the first time, and a grandpa see his grandkids for the first time. What other reasons does one need to donate, than helping someone like that?

So....what was the question? A dream comes from your brain, and has nothing to do with what your bf is or is not doing. If you are dreaming about this, it is likely your insecurity in the relationship coming out.

I gave head to by bf but we didnt have sex but the day after i didnt feel good, i have stomach pains and am really tired nd i still feel like crap could i be pregnant or am i just being really paranoid
I'd say you were being paranoid. Giving head to a bf can't lead to pregnancy, unless you have intercourse afterwards. You would not have pregnancy symptoms the following day, at any rate. I think you should educate yourself about how the reproductive system works before you have sex again.

Why has it become a waste of time asking questions ?, people rarely rate them, all the points go to the answers
If this site were all about the ratings, it might be not worth the time. This site isn't supposed to be all about the ratings. The questions and answers came first, the ratings were added later. I think it started as a place people could come to for real answers to real questions, but has evolved into a place to ask trivial questions in order to entertain the users, and gain points.

Why do children lose interest in hanging out with their parents?
It is natural, as kids grow up, to lose interest in hanging out with their parents. They have to learn to be independent from their parents, and this process starts young. Eventually, they do grow up, and are more interested in what their parents are doing, and will even hang out with them again. I know this from experience, as I have 3 grown children, went through the rebellious teen years,...

Do you think you should have to take an I.Q. test to have kids? I think it would do the world some good to set standards.
I don't think an IQ test is needed, as even less intelligent parents can raise intelligent kids. It isn't about how smart your parents are, it is about how well they raise you. If any test were needed, it should be a parenting test. Although, it would never happen, as forcing women to either be sterilized or use birth control would go against our civil rights.

Why is it that we mourn at death instead of celebrating the life that has just left us?
We did both at my mother's funeral. The preacher used anecdotes about our mother, we laughed, we cried, we laughed some more. Mom loved CCR.

I think it is so much easier for some people to tell others what to do, than figure out what it is they need to do. I have noticed both of my sisters critiquing each others' child rearing abilities, when in fact, one isn't better or worse than the other. I suspect they probably spend their time together talking about my child rearing abilities as well.

I have a 6 month old kitten who has been inside all her life. I want to let her out and I have a cat flap fitted but I am scared she'll get lost or not come home! What's the best way to do this that neither she nor I will worry too much?
My cats are leash trained. They never go out without their leashes on. They know when they see the leash they are going to get to go outside for a while. This doesn't stop them from trying to run out the door when it is opened, so we have to keep a close eye on them. I live on a busy street, and many years ago had outdoor cats. I had a few hit by cars, and decided when I got the latest...

My butt itches, should I scratch it from the outside, or scratch the skin directly? Is there a scientintific term to better describe this manuver?
If you are at home, by all means scratch the skin directly, it will relieve the itch better. If you are not at home, or there is company around, either scratch through your clothes, or go to the bathroom and scratch. Please, wash your hands when you are done.

Has anyone given any thought to where hyphenating last names when marrying will lead? So when Bobby Griffith-Brown
meets Susan Whiteford-Abbot...do we end up with Susan Whiteford-Abbot-Griffith-Brown, and what about their kids?
I was wondering this too, as my husband's new grandson has a hyphenated name. When he marries, and has children, will their names be Hiswife-Janedoe-Johndoe, or will they drop the Janedoe and name their kids Hiswife-Johndoe? How will this poor kid ever learn to spell his name, with a 9 letter first name, a 7 letter surname from mom, hyphen, 12 letter surname from dad.

What cause your blood sugar to drop suddenly?? What is the best way to get your blood sugar to rise, after it has dropped?
Too much insulin can cause your blood sugar to drop, whether it is the insulin naturally produced by the body, or insulin that is injected. If you give yourself an injection, then don't eat soon enough, the insulin will deplete the sugar in your blood, and cause a drop. If your body isn't producing an adequate supply of insulin on it's own, the same thing can happen. For...

Why do women tend to have such extreme shower procedures compared to men? I would use bar soap as shampoo, while my girlfriend made me install a shower caddy for all her stuff.
If your gf used bar soap on her hair, it would be dry and straw-like. We need the shampoos and conditioners to make our hair touchably soft, in case you men want to run your fingers through it. We need our body wash full of moisturizers to keep our skin soft so you will love touching us.

No, it counts against their points. It only counts negative for you if someone decides your question is not helpful, or your answers are not helpful. Of course, sometimes people downrate questions and answers for no known reason.

Tell us what your hobby is? ... why do you enjoy it so much? ... how much time do you spend p/w doing it? ... how much does it cost you? ... how long have you been doing it?
I crochet. I enjoy taking a skein of yarn and making something useful out of it. It used to be cheaper to make stuff from yarn, but nowadays it is cheaper to buy blankets and sweaters ready-made. I spend a couple hours a day crocheting. It doesn't cost me much, mostly because I have a room full of yarn I inherited, or bought for a few dollars at auctions.

Does anyone else find it odd that Anna Nicole Smith and her son have both died suddenly?
I find it sad that she lost her son suddenly, and now she is gone. I don't know if it is suicide or not, but I imagine she was depressed over her son's death. I can't imagine comitting suicide and leaving a baby behind, but that's just me. I suspect it was probably an accidental death, and that there will be people who think someone killed them both off.

Is it illegal to walk your cat without a leash in the state of Ohio?
You should check your state and local leash laws. In my city it is illegal to let a cat run loose, just as it is for a dog. Most of the time, the cat leash law is not enforced, but they do pick cats up once in a while, especially if the cat appears to be a nuisance, or in danger. My cats wear leashes when they go outside, as I live on a busy street and I would worry too much if they were loose.

Go for the food business job, it could be good for you. My daughter was super shy, had a hard time talking to people. She went to work in a fast food restaurant, and it helped her get over that shyness.

Do you think that stealing, even for the "right reason" is a sin?
Stealing is wrong, no matter what. If you steal food, someone else suffers because of it. "It is a large company, they won't even notice" is not a valid excuse.
If you or your children are hungry, there are places to get food without stealing. Salvation Army usually has a feeding line, there are churches that will donate food for the hungry, food stamps are for people who...

When you wake up tomorrow, what would you like to be different about your life?
Well, I can think of a couple of things I would want to be different. I would like my kitchen to be remodeled (it is falling apart, and I don't have money to fix it). I would love it if Mom was still here.
Basically, I wouldn't change anything else about my life.

There are three people who have been poisoned - a newly born infant, a kind business owner who is in charge of thousands of employees, and an old lady. You have the antidote to the poison, but only enough to save one person... who would you give it to?
I would be inclined to give it to the business man. I love babies and old people, but seriously, the baby has no responsibilities, the old lady has lived her life. The business man has all those employees working for him, and if he dies, all those people would be in upheaval, worried about whether their jobs were going to be gone. Out of the 3, he appears (to me) to be the most productive, and...

As a waitress who worked when the law in our city went into effect, I like the idea behind the law, and I have always been a smoker who wouldn't dare smoke if it offended someone else. BUT, the truck drivers went 20 miles down the road farther, to a city where they could smoke in the restaurant, and other smokers just didn't go out to eat as much. My opinion only changed when he refused to take his medication, and I had to rush home from work because he was at the emergency room with a broken hand. I think your best bet is to take a class of some sort. My local library offers free classes on a variety of crafts, including sewing. I know if you buy a sewing machine from Sears, they will do a short class on how to use the machine. I own a Kenmore (Sears brand) sewing machine that I have had for over 20 yrs, it was about $100. I have never owned any other machine, so I can't recommend any.

Nope, he is married, not dead. I don't mind if he looks at the menu, as long as he eats at home. Seriously, I like looking at good looking men, it is human nature, so why should I deny him looking at women. Now, if he NEVER looked at me, that would be a problem.

It isn't technically cheating, if all they did was snuggle.
What you should ask yourself is this, How many guys are going to just snuggle with a girl? Do you believe they just snuggled? Being tipsy, in my opinion, is not an excuse. I would be upset about my man sleeping at another woman's house and snuggling with her. Whether it is cheating or not, it is not something I would be...

My 7 month old kitten has a lump in her throat and is beathing very shallow breaths. She has had a considerate amount of weight loss in the last week and a half. do you know what could be wrong with her?
She may have gotten ahold of a chicken bone, or something like that. Chicken bones splinter, and are very sharp, if a cat tries to swallow one it can stick in their throat. If it has been in there for a week and a half, she probably has some sort of infection to go with it. She should go to the vet, I would consider this an emergency.

Answer to:
Why does the entire approach of many ABers change when answering, "How do I tell my parents I'm a Satanist?" as opposed to "How do I tell my parents I'm a Christian?"
For the most part, parents are going to be more accepting of a child announcing christianity. Parents are going to freak when their child says, "I am a satanist" and will likely not stop to listen to an explanation of satanism. If your child says, "I am a christian" parents are less likely to freak out. To most people, christianity equals good, and satanism equals evil.

Of course it does. Sex in the beginning of a relationship is always more frequent. Later in a relationship life tends to get in the way of that passion. Not all couples will cheat on their SO if their needs are not being met, but some do. IMO, cheating is not the way to get your needs met, you need to communicate with your SO and tell him how you feel. Maybe you can compromise, you settle for...

How do you feel about your mom? What do you think of her?
I miss her. She was a great person, everyone loved her. She taught me forgiveness and tolerance. We got along even when I was a teenager, I watched her deal with 3 older teens, and I hated the pain she was in when dealing with their rebellion, so I skipped that. It was her that taught me the love of a good book, she read all the time.

Why do cats love to lay on papers and plastic bags?
I always suspected the cat laid on the newspaper I was trying to read because he wanted my attention. Cats like to play with plastic bags, they make a great rustling noise when they chase them around the room, and a good hiding place from another cat so they can jump out and get them.

How likely, or is it even possible, to have a good friendship with an ex after breaking up?
I have always had a good relationship with my ex husband. We have 4 kids together, and needed to be civil for their sake. He lives in a different state, and when he came to visit the kids, he stayed at our house. He cares what happens to me, and I care about what happens to him, I guess you could even say we are friends. We have been divorced for 16 yrs.

Answer to:
What do you think life would be like if everything was made out of candy?
There would need to be a lot more dentists, plus everything would have bites out of it, so construction companies would have to be more plentiful. How would the streets be when it rained? Eww, probably sticky. Too much rain, and your fence dissolves, and needs replaced. Ants would be loving it, and would probably be EVERYWHERE! I am thinking sweet would not be what life would be.
Answer to:
My 16 month old cat has started hissing at her kittens who are now 5 months old. They have lived together quite happily up until about 2 months ago but now she hisses at them whenever she sees them and chases them out of her way. Can anyone advise?
It sounds to me like she is trying to get them to move out, lol. Seriously, in nature, mothers will force their offspring to leave them, and go out on their own, so she is doing what nature intended. If you are going to keep the kittens, she will eventually get used to them being around and not hiss at them as much. I have 2 grown kittens and their mother, she did the same thing, but now they...

Answer to:
Do you think tipping at a restaurant is necessary? Why or why not?
In Kansas waitress minimum wage is $2.13 an hour. We rely on tips to make a living. When I go out to eat, I overtip, unless the service is really bad, then I may not leave a tip at all. My opinion is, if you can't make enough tips to live on, then you need another job.
Some people have told me that restaurants should pay their employees, instead of letting the customers pay them, but if...

Do you think that its fair that my mom is the administrator on my computer? i am 15
I think it is fair that she is the administrator. It is her job to keep tabs on what you do, to make sure nothing bad happens, and to help you to grow into an excellent adult. My kids always knew that I would check on them when they were using the computer, read IMs they had going on, check the history to see what types of websites they went on, etc. It isn't that she wants to be mean to...

Answer to:
Would you insist on a prenuptial agreement?
I don't have anything of value to put in a prenuptial agreement. Asking someone to sign a prenup seems (to me, anyway) like a lack of trust, or faith in the relationship. I suppose there are those with a lot of money that have to worry that people are marrying them for their money, and the prenup would prevent that.

I don't know about illegal, although I suspect it would be against USPS regulations. However, it would probably not do a bit of good. I don't know what he did (or didn't do)that you want revenge for, but there are better ways to go about things. If he isn't giving you child support, go to the SRS (HRS, whatever it is in your area), get some assistance from them, and list the...

I dreamed I was at work, only there was a second floor, and it was an insane asylum. I was working as a cashier (it was a restaurant) and there was a really long line. I can count on him, for the most part, lol. When it comes to being there for me when my daughter's father kidnapped her, or when I needed him to hold me up when my mother passed away, no problem. When the kitchen faucet is broken and water is leaking all over the kitchen, I am on my own.

Whether he has anything to do with the baby has no bearing on whether he pays child support. He is responsible for supporting the baby even if he never sees it. Taking a child away from it's mother is not all that easy. The mother would have to prove that you are unfit to be a mother. Just saying you aren't capable of raising the child is not enough proof. I suspect she is mostly...

Are talk show guests on shows like Jerry Springer actually hired actors and not real people?
I think he used to have real guests on, I knew a girl who went on his show. It seemed the really bad ones, the ones that fight and tear off each other's clothes were more popular, so they started using fakes.
I really dislike that show, as well as Maury, who is starting to be a lot like Jerry.

I would say the chances are very slim that you are pregnant. In most menstrual cycles, there is about 2 wks between your period and ovulation. Birth control prevents ovulation, which prevents pregnancy. I doubt that ovulation happened between Sunday and Tuesday.
