Michigan's 8th District Congressman Mike Rogers addressed his colleagues regarding Health Care Reform, and his remarks are below. What do you think about what he had to say? (I think his comments are scary, if they are indeed factual.)
I didn't know I was more informed than the Congressman himself. His comments are incorrect to begin. I'm surprised that someone did not stand up and yell, "Get your facts right, THEN give your opinion."

Is it theoretically possible that the human brain becomes so packed with information that it could reach a "saturation point," where it would reject further knowledge, because it was "FULL?" (Computer hard drives have a "limit," so why not human brains?)
Yes, I am a living example of the full brain. I've told my kids too. If one more piece of information goes in, one drops out, and it just happens to be what the kids asked about.

Answer to:
Why do women shave their armpits and men dont?
I think it's strictly cultural. I feel so much cleaner when I do too. I like hairy men. I've been around hairy men since I was born, so those with little to no hair don't seem quite as masculine, But I've seen some muscle guys that I have no idea if they have hair or not, probably not.

How many people are really stupid enough to admit they listen to Rush Limbaugh? I for one would rather die than admit that. Howard Stern is better, what say you?
I'm afraid I agree. I've never been able to listen to one of Rush's shows more than a few minutes because I am bored out of my mind. I think that intelligence be damned and just make up anything of shock-value. The same for Stern, except I Have made it through one of his shows just to see if the women would take off their tops for viewing by one of the grossest men I've...

I think it is true for both questions and answers. Sometimes, I will just read answers to see how others handled life difficulties, or just the humor.

Answer to:
Generally speaking, men think and women feel. Do you agree with this statement?
I think it is a stereotype that is breaking. I've noticed INSECURE men become irate on AB when they are questioned with rationality by women. They are extremely emotional and cannot control their frustration and anger.
They are also the main ones who are trolls because of their emotions. This is based on my short time on AB.

Isn't it time that stereotype comic panels (like the LINKed one below this question) be eliminated? Everyone knows, or should know, that women are much better drivers than men. Don't you agree?
It would be funnier if it had HIS on it. I've been in the insurance business too long - though I'm out now. Dealing with male drivers is a pain in the butt. Their aggressiveness does not improve either; they channel it in other ways.

AB is very hard on people who swear, name call and get fiesty, but then they turn around and invite hard core smut on Adult AB. This is a haven for the perverted. Why do we need this?
We don't need an Adult site like the one AB has. It is for the deviants of society to find other deviants.

AB also has some favorites that they will not PB with proof of name calling and swearing and calling people down. When they do not take their own policies seriously and enforce them, I doubt if they will ever ban anything on the AB site.

I guess so. Generous would be a better word which people describe me. I will do anything I think will help someone, even when I have nothing. There are lots of hints on the internet. A puppy takes patience. Remember if you call him, he should be praised for coming, not punished. He should be praised for going outside. How do you fight false allegations of starting a rumor about someone at work? The individual is starting an official HR sexual harassment complaint and it is false. She may have done this because she had an affair with a coworker (a friend of the accused)
I truly believe it is a matter of politics and who the higher ups wish to believe. I have seen absolute proof of misconduct by a supervisor and the employee was fired. EEOC was worthless, as well as the other so-called civil rights groups. Take care of yourself the best you can and move on. Our court system does the same thing.

I'm glad you didn't stay at home and mope. How well did you know this guy? I don't know if this helps, but I like to know the person before I accept any date. I have never been stood up, but I think it's because the guy always sounded enthused or interested in really going out. He also knew we would probably run into each other again, so if he wasn't that...

Have you ever had a friend or boyfriend or girlfriend who was bipolar whose feelings toward you flip flopped so they liked/loved you one day and hated you the next day?
Yes, he kept it a secret and stayed on his meds until he proposed. What a surprise I got! I thought I was crazy that I thought he was so wonderful. I found out by accident when I found all these pills. I did some research and we were history.

Please watch this collection of sound bites & news clips, then answer this question: Is Barack Obama, in fact, a MUSLIM? If not, then what is he saying in all of these news clips?
When I saw your question, it interested me. Although the film could have been doctored up, I would never vote for anyone with that name. I admit, it is discriminatory but Obama's heritage has been too vague. The documents produced for his birth are not typical. This is for the president of the US, not someone moving into town. With all the people who could be president, we pick him?

How do i get out of an abusive relationship when everytime i leave he hurts himself or everytime he leaves i cant let him because if i agree he freaks out?
You know, this is one time I might call the police. I would have everything ready or already moved out. I would work it out with the police when to come to escort me and also to be a witness to me saying that he hurts himself and they can take on the burden of that decision if he needs psychiatric help. Whatever he does, he will know the police have a file on him. Some places have special...

For Christmas, my mom wants no presents from my brother and I. Instead she wants to take us to a catholic gynecologist to explain the Catholic Church's method of contraception to us. We don't want to do it. Is there any way out of this for me and Daniel?
Vapor, Ah, what a present. A priest might do a better job, but she probably wants a gyn to explain what the body does at ovulation.

You know your Mom and how odd some things might be in the family. Is she really going to be happy after you do this? Will it make her feel she is celebrating Christmas? If you are not really excited after hearing this speech, is she going to be angry?

Is it possible for a mother to hate her son, purely because he is quite like his father? (After the divorse of the parents)
I know it happens. But most women say that they know it is irrational and talk to themselves. One even lied to herself so that she did not see her ex's eyes every time she looked at her son. Thinking about it, when she said this, it really wasn't a lie, his eyes will always be different from the father's. I wish I had said this then to her. I've never known anyone to...

Can Gossip actually make people mentally deranged? I have lived with gossip all my life and sometimes I just can't take it anymore because it hurts me very deep inside. How should I approach gossip? How about with coworkers or people I have to deal with?
If you allow it, it can do anything. If it is worth it, you can confront the gossipers. At least they will probably try not to gossip where you will hear it. Move on and away from them. They deserve each other. After 7 years, that man has problems. Makes me shiver that he was that shallow and superficial.
Answer to:
I know this is not a statement you don't hear very often. But have you ever been insulted when a very unattractive woman rejects you. Maybe when you were younger?
I think you deserve it for your judgmental attitude of rating someone on looks. If she was that bad, why on earth would you ever ask her out? Talk about a chauvinistic, egotistical statement. .

According to what you implied, maybe she thought you were uglier than she.

Have another question. people say i shouldnt be desperate but i cant help it cause im 24 and nothing never happens. Is it a good idea to pay a girl just to go out on a date? so I can atleast say "yes i have dated before" to anyone who asks?
Who cares whether you've been on a date before? You need to go on a date just to answer that question? Get a life you like. Do things you like. It's polite that if you ask someone out that you pay for the date, but not pay the girl. Take a class in assertiveness or even check out single's sights.

Im 24 and never had a g/f People tell me to go out to places. nothing happens cause all the girls are with someone. people say let girls come to you. Girls never come to me dont even look at me. What else am i suppose to do? anyone please help me!

Is oral sex considered "sexual immorality" within a Christian marriage?
If you're going to have all these sex questions, you might consider writing for the adult section. You've got a lot of sex questions for a guy who says he doesn't think about it.

Should miniskirts and other indecent clothing items be banned on college campuses?
So miniskirts are indecent? I must be a bad, bad girl because it sounds like one man cannot control his urges. Maybe he needs to wear one of those long black foreign robes the women wear. I need to tell my s/o how bad I am. I think he's going to like it.

If someone were to love you for the wrong reason... what reason would that be?
For all of you so-called "rich men", I think it is interesting that I have never seen a rich man with an average or less than average looking person. Yet, not one woman said for her looks, which I would value far more than any amount of money on earth. In Anna Nicole Smith, that old codger got far more out of her and her body, than if she had gotten her fair inheritance.

J'ever notice that, when Xmas is on a Sunday (if you're in a Christian church) that the congregation NEVER sings "Happy Birthday to You," to Jesus Christ? Why not? If it is his birthday anniversary, shouldn't that be sung to him in church?
With the arrival of children, we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and had a cake for Jesus. Then presents could be opened. The kids also made or bought something for Jesus, usually adding to the nativity scene. I know of one Catholic Church that has Santa coming in the church at the end of the service. He has a cake and the whole congregation sings Happy Birthday to Jesus. Many churches have a...

Have you ever had a premonition of "impending wonderfulness," that was so overwhelming & powerful, that you can't describe it to others? For the past several days, I've had this inner feeling that something spectacular is gonna happen to all of us, soon.
It's been years since I've felt that. It always came true, but was very short-lived. If I don't get some joy in my life soon, I'm just existing.

Are you intimidated by some AB'ers? Do you feel some are in a 'click' and ultra popular? Do you feel that some would never want to be your friend so avoid asking them? Or do you simply not care less?
Some Abers try to intimidate, but it is so pathetic.
I do not like the way some cannot control their emotions, and treat other ABers with accusations, name-calling, etc., and ganging up on an ABer without at least asking for their viewpoint first. Working within the legal system for years, it reminds me of judges who have their mind made up before the defendant enters the courtroom.

Do Catholics (or any other Christian faith) believe that a person, once saved, who later commits a mortal sin (murder, etc) without remorse or repentance, would continue to be "saved" when they die?
Catholics aren't into the "saved" concept. They believe in Jesus, that he died for our sins, original, sin; but we still have free will to commit grievous sin, like murder, have no remorse or repentance, and join Satan in hell.
.
For other Christians who believe they are saved, the logic would say that a saved person would not commit such a heinous act. If so, without remorse...

I don't hear true love for each other with all of the cheating. I'm not sure you were truly forgiven for cheating if she did the same. To be pregnant gives a tie to the other man. This sounds like one for the professionals.

Would there be fewer affairs and less adultery if polygamy was legal?

No, death is a mystery and the worst of all losses. We just exist and don't know why. One day we smile at something or someone. One day we can give a little to someone else. Then we exist some more. For $1000, to go on a harmless date that is safe, I wouldn't care. I'm not for or against Obama, but I'm not catching the logic. I just don't see who is being helped but big businesses. When a big business is having problems, I believe that the middle and upper level executives should have a 0 salary. I think that with more experience with men that you would change that question. Men do not want women to know they are feeling down (generalizing). They do not know how to handle rejection in a healthy way, nor does much of anyone.

Would my groomer call aspca on me if I bring my dog in and her hair is matted and she needs a bath? I've been afraid to give her a bath - i heard it would making her matted ears worse. She needs a haircut but i'm afraid to take her.
I think the groomer would be more concerned about what your concerns are, and give you advice on how to prevent it from happening again. They are more concerned with neglect and abuse, not someone who is trying their best and willing to pay the money for a groomer.

Kind of make up your mind how open you want to be and where your boundaries of privacy are. It sounds like you're not quite ready to share.

How do you stop yourself crying when you are feeling angry? It's extremely annoying, it's the way I react to anger & people think I'm upset but in reality, I'm just very annoyed and angry.
I used to do that. Then one time I took a deep breath and told myself not to cry. I cried all by myself later. It worked for me. Good Luck.

Do you believe Beauty Pagents are right? Do they turn little girls into women before their time? Do they cause little girls to become vein, arrogant and overly-confident with their appearance? Or is it just a healthy bit of competition? Just dressing up?
I took my daughter out of them after the first one. She was 1. No makeup, just darling looking and she curtsied. I thought all children would be treated the same. I was too innocent. My sil did the same with her daughter.
.
I think they give the girl poise.
I think that everything else is harmful.

Answer to:
I really like this girl, she likes me too but she has a boyfriend. We were flirting a lot and we have kissed twice. All my friends think that I should stop what I am doing immediately. I really like her and am very lonely. What should I do?
I think you should talk to her about how committed she is with her boyfriend. If there is no commitment, then no problem. Loneliness is not a reason for a relationship, because you do not bring anything positive. You need to feel comfortable with yourself first.
Answer to:
What do you think will make you happy and content for the rest of your life?

Answer to:
No matter what you do or say your s/o wont satisfy you in bed. YOur sexually fustrated all the time.. What are your options, would you cheat on them?
I'd drop his butt because he has to be insensitive in other areas as well. Who would want a man who gets satisfied sexually in bed but would not reciprocate? It won't get better. I don't believe in cheating. I'd be upfront and tell him you expect to be satisfied, just as he is or you are going to look elsewhere for a relationship where both people are satisfied.
Answer to:
Due to husbands abuse I am now paying hospital bills, how can he be held responsible

I weigh like 250 pounds and im in a size 16-17 in pants
my boyfriend says i have a beautiful face but if id lose some weight id be drop dead gorgeous.should i be mad?should i find a guy who likes me the way i am?
If that is all he has said, and he loves to touch you, and has not made derogatory comments; I think he gave a compliment. 250 is a lot for anyone; and I can say it because suddenly I am getting all kinds of health problems. If some guy said my face is beautiful right now and I would be drop dead gorgeous; for health and beauty, I would want to be drop dead gorgeous.

Would u tell your s/o how many sexual partners u have had?? Or would u lie/keep it a secret?
If we were to marry, I would tell him and answer all questions. I want to know everything about him, emotionally and sexually before he met me as well.

Is it ok to whack off at work ? i think my coworkers know i do it.they all look me funny every time i come out of the bathroom
I think you're nasty and will probably get fired, taking an hour out from work, making noises and acting like an adolescent boy. As your boss, I would set you up and have you fired after one of your whack jobs. It is certainly sexually harassment to the other men in the bathroom.

Does a wink still mean flirting these days? I have a co-worker who always winks at me, touches my back, and innocent things like that. I think it's nothing, but others keep talking about how he is flirting with me. What do you think?
Of course, he's flirting. If he's married, it could be innocent and that is his limit. But maybe not. IF it is not just a flirt, then he would probably want an affair. IF he's single, then he may like you and want to date. I don't think it is nothing.

I just cheated with my ex (i still have feelings for him but i don't want to). I don't know why I did it, I feel TERRIBLE. I don't want to ruin everything. I do love him and I thought we had a future. I am so stupid. What can I do?
You do know why you did it. You don't love him because cheaters don't love anyone but themselves. I doubt if you know what love is. I'm glad you feel terrible, at least you had a choice to cheat. Those you cheat on don't have that choice. Maybe back off, grow up, think of what your actions do to others and change. Cheaters don't change, but it isn't impossible.
Answer to:
Ladies: I want to try to really impress this gal I've been seeing. I want the perfect triple threat! I'm thinking of getting her a necklace, flowers and chocolates. Would that be something she'll really like or is there something I might be missing?
Too much! Split it up between 3 different random dates, with the necklace being the last gift. You want her to love each gift, right? 3 things at once prevents this.

I met a great guy on a Friday and spent the whole weekend at his place. Then I didn't hear from him for two days, and only briefly the next night. Is he interested or was this just a hook up?
A hookup, too much too soon without knowing the real person. If you knew the real person, you wouldn't be asking, you'd know.

Do you believe in the saying "Once a cheater, always a cheater"?
I believe the saying. I think Cheaters do not know how to love, do not care or understand what hurt they inflict, enjoy the deceit, lie and live for the moment. They also spread stds and take no responsibility. Their morals are on the bottom of a deep pit. It is like any other addiction.
.
However, like every addiction, it can be broken with determination, support, education, and never...

Women dress to get attention. If a man shows attention to them on street they feel flattered. This shows they are interested in opposite sex. This implies they are interested in sex. But if you directly ask them to have sex, they feel insulted, why?
I'm not an animal, and do not want sex just because any man, who may or may Not be good looking, is interested. How insulting. Free sex because I'm attractive.
.
I'm not advertising sex, I'm advertising me. I may want to get to know you if you have a brain and some relationship qualities like caring, good character, etc.
.
To risk std with a stranger is ludicrous. To...

LOOK!!! Are my Indian Arrow Heads real or fake?? (see pic). The bone arrow head looks too "perfect", and the stone one looks like a retard made it :/ So, are these things real or not? Did an Indian really kill animals with these things 3000 years ago?
The white one looks fake. The stone one, possibly but it is different than any I've seen. I would have an expert check it out.
'
Retarded people could make one, but to assume it is by a retarded person shows extremely deficient thinking on your part.
.
Yes, Indians really killed animals and humans with projectile point. I have a collection of these points.

Answer to:
How to live with a cheater and liar? I love my husband but he cheated on me many times.
Just keep living with him until you feel so betrayed, you hit rock bottom and can't think straight. And stay with him as the cheater until you get every std possible, with the highlight of AIDS. Then you won't have the decision any longer because you'll be crazy and dead.

Answer to:
What should you not say to a naked man?
There are good humorous answers, so I'll be serious, since I've had it happen. If I felt safe, I would laugh and point. I've never known a man who could live that down. From a small study, if it is done twice, the exhibitionist stops being so open. Some withdraw into internet habits, ie, porn, others become more aggressive. None give up the habit and become normal.
