Not at all. I think I rebelled because I was so much like my mother at that time, and wanted to place some distance between us to claim my own identity. It's much easier now to feel independent of her upbringing, since I'm becoming less and less like her all the time.

I don't think it held water before that - just look at the study done on the number of innocent people who have been executed in the U.S. And yet we still have the death penalty. Innocent people had plenty to fear even before the Patriot Act twisted the screws.

probably not; I have kids and wouldn't take a chance with someone I hadn't met in person. I'd do it if I had a rental that was open at the time - just not in my personal home with my kids. I would definitely meet up and have lunch or something, show them around, etc.
