What would be the effect of raising the minimim wage by two dollars(US) an hour? Who would pay for this increase?
Inflation would rise and negate the raise. As for who would pay, the companies would have to pay private employees and we would have to pay government employees through taxes though few of those if any make minimum wage.

What is autism?
A neurodevelopmental disorder that can affect social interactions etc. It can be from mild to serious. I have known some people who you can barely notice have it and some who are very serious. I would recommend reading more in depth in it. Sorry I can't explain it as I am no scientist or doctor but here is a link.

On a scale of 1-10, do you think it is unwise to crash on people's sofas you sort of know, but have never met?
I would say 9. I would be very careful, especially as a single female. Nothing sexist intended but you realistically have more risk from the type of people who would be a danger. Plan every stop carefully and make sure you are 100% certain about a stop before you put yourself in a stranger's hands. Just keep in mind that there are a lot of good people willing to lend you their couch and...

Will someone help me plan my trip to America, as I am totally wreckless and random when it comes to planning?
If you want to see scenery I would recommend stopping by Colorado but unless you have a sizable budget it is a bit out of the way unless you are driving cross-country (if so watch out for the rockies)
EDIT: Also if you want to see American America I would recommend Boston. In one day you can pretty much see every part of American history lol.

If i love my b/f with all my heart but i cheated on him with out him knowing should i tell him.
I think that if you want a true, long-term relationship then you should tell him and work it out together. If the two of you really do love each other with all your heart now, then you will be able to overcome the problem and have an even more fulfilling relationship. If you can't, then it is probably best to find out now rather then later. But also ask yourself the same question, if he...

When i come home i always just play on the computer like always and i want to do my homework but i procrastinate. any tips?
It took me until college to figure that one out. I would say just try your best to realize that once you do your homework you can play computer all you want guilt free and it is better than worrying about the homework that you should be doing. And you will probably find out that you actually will have more time to play if you want.

I live with a kleptomaniac in the family and I've just lost my money. Nobody has seen her actually get it, but she has history of stealing from family members and there are no other suspects anyway. Is that enough to put her to jail?
Most Likely, no. You have the burden of proof to show that she actually took the money.

I was stopped by a police officer who was driving past me and "clocked" me at 87, in very thick fog, when I had my cruise set to 70. I asked him what the rear radar said and he told me 68. will it hold up in court
I have heard that there are very stringent rules for a speeding charge to stick and from your story I doubt it. Although I would recommend checking the rules for your state, some states have officer discretion for speeding while some states have 0-tolerance etc. try sites such as http://www.mit.edu/~jfc/laws.html

Does chewing ice really do any harm to your teeth or just an old wives tale?
I used to chew ice. But my dentist does tell me that it really does damage your teeth and my mom tells me that the reason her teeth are bad, according to the dentist, is from chewing ice. So, who knows. I guess you won't know until its too late, as for me I stopped, not worth finding out. (I did bite down on a wisdom tooth socket when it was coming in and that hurt like hell, so in a sense...

Is it true that Dragonball Z originally had 'R' rated content but that it was changed for American audiences?
Well they are definately edited in America. The reason I cannot stand the English version is because they completely change the story. Turtle-sama is a A class pervert for example in the Japanese story and there is a lot of nudity etc. In the English... nothing.

What anime titles are similar to Boogiepop Phantom? (Other than Lain and Haibane Renmei).
I agree with the previous poster. I have not seen Boogiepop Phantom but my favorite Anime/Manga artist by far is Yoshitoshi Abe. He was the Artist for Lain and Texnolyze and the director/artist for Haibane Renmei. He also did Niea_7 which I would recommend checking out and he just realized a new manga in Japan called Robot. Also I do not know any relation, but you could try "Place Promised...

Why has the "Da Vinci Code" created so much confusion as well as interest if most of the "facts" in the book are not true?
Well I think because it is a movie... movies always try to entertain regardless of whether they are true or not. And people usually do not know much about their own religions so when they see something like that they start to question what they belief and they have no where to turn to find out what is true and what is false...

Why can't we remember the future?
Time eludes even the wisest I would say. If you take the old argument that only the present truly exist because the past is nothing but memories and the future is just the present that hasn't happened yet then the present can't really exist either. Because no matter how small you divide time, there would still have to be a halfway point where it divides into the past and the future...

I would say as a senior in college and a Philosophy Major that yes, like anyone who does any job etc. of course you have days where you think, "what the hell am I doing with my time". Is it natural to feel alienated and guilty when one accepts philisophical discoveries and literature in place of the mainstream religious beliefs and doctrines?
I would say so. Coming from a christian background ingrains you with a plethora of very deep ideology's and beliefs. I do not remember exactly where I saw it, but I think it was Satre who had some good good passages about how for a real free-thinker it isn't a happy, fear-free experience, only a necessary one. You might want to look for those. As for me, I think that anyone that makes...

Will throwing "submarine" cause uneeded arm damage compared to throwing overhand?
I read on a pitching guide that yes, unless you work with a coach to ensure that you use the correct form, then it is very damaging to your elbow. That is why in Japan there are many and in America there are few... because almost all pitchers and therefore pitching coaches are overhand in America and teach that.

'I think therefore i am '. Can anyone prove this?
If you havent you should read Descartes` "Meditations on First Philosophy" he answers the question with some detail. Although I cannot say it is convincing in real life, it is quite a well-informed argurment. If you take everything in this existence, the only thing that you can really be sure of is that fact that something (I) is pondering its existence so therefore theoritically (I)...
