I think you mean 800 to 1000 IU/day (not mg). The US government officially says that 200IU/daily is needed for adults below age 50. However, that level was set years ago, and is out-dated. Many doctors now suggest 1,000IU, 2,000IU or more per day to maintain a blood level of 50 to 60...

I think that we'll attempt it in the same way that we mess with genetically engineered foods and cloning animals. However, there is a very real danger that we'll mess things up. We could melt the arctic, cause flooding, etc. My thinking is that mother nature knows best.

I was introduced to neti through yoga. I don't measure out the salt, but just use a little bit. I buy non-iodized sea salt & mix with room temp water, or slightly warm water. I try to neti each morning & evening, just like the ritual of brushing the teeth each day.

I just bought 500 mcg tablets (=0.5mg) today. I'm going to try taking one tablet about 30 to 60 minutes before going to bed. I hope it helps me sleep better. Just wondering what the experiences of others has been with melatonin.

Whole Foods and Trader Joe's have pretty clean restrooms. Trader Joe's even has samples of soaps and lotions to use. Of course, at these upscale health food stores, cleanliness would be expected. Giant usually has dirty bathrooms. Safeway is a step up from Giant.

At my local mall, I like to use the bathroom at Nordstrom's. It's the nicest. The restrooms at Macy's and Lord & Taylor are pretty clean also. In general, the department store restrooms are the best, and of the department stores, the more expensive, the better the restroom.
