Answer to:
Why do we feel the need to be accepted?
Because we evolved as social creatures, forced to band together against larger threats to survive, a strong sense of community and social dependency is instilled in us. On top of that, most people are brought up, intentionally or not, with the idea that it is good to conform to society and find your place within the larger whole.
It is a very 'tribal' mentality taken to an extreme...

I think it would be kinda sexy if my husband switched to tightey whities for a while but he wants nothing to do with it does anyones have any ideas?
Have you asked him why? As a guy myself I can say that I would rather wear boxers than briefs. The only time I wear briefs is when I go running or working out, for the added 'support' they provide. Other times I hate the feeling of confinement.

A doctor recommends putting an important iten like a cell phone or purse or wallet next to child so you don't forget your child in the car. What the hell? When did cells or purses become more important than a human life?
I doubt he intended to imply that babies are less important than your cellphone. He likely meant that, while you do not normally need a baby in a supermarket you will likely notice the lack of a wallet when going to check out, so you will remember it is in the car.
Especially if the baby is sleeping, it is very easy to overlook it if you are not yet used to carrying the baby around a lot....

Is starting a church one of the most lucrative businesses nowadays?
I hate to sound callous, and I mean no offense to anyone or any religion, but selling false hope has always been one of the most lucrative businesses. Take old snake-oil salesmen who claimed that their product would cure all ails, or televangelists selling plots in heaven for $99.95. Unscrupulous men will always attempt to dupe people to make a quick buck.
The bottom line, I believe, is that...

I assume you're talking about the US here. People from other countries use this website as well though, so I may be wrong. In any case, you are free to do anything you want in this country so long as it doesn't interfere with other people's rights. To use your example of smoking... why can't you smoke anywhere you want? Ok I was just wondering as to why is the sun in the sky yellow? (why cant it be purple or pink)
We actually see the Sun as yellow because the bulk of the visible electromagnetic radiation that it emits is of a frequency which our eyes interpet as yellow. The Sun is producing many other types of EM radiation which we can't see because it is above or below our narrow 'visible' spectrum of light.
Our sun is approximatly in the 'middle' of the spectral types we...

What is the break DC of the Moon?
I understand this is a joke, however if you wanted a real answer I suppose you could calculate it. The break DC for a 5ftx5ftx5ft section of stone wall is 60. Since 5ft = about 1.5 meters, you could say that the break DC for a 3m cube of stone is double that, so 120.
The moon's volume is around 21968000000KM^3...
Extrapolating from that, assuming it scales exactly, the DC for a...

In a high powered game I once played a Psion/Uncarnate with levels in Thrallherd. Essentially 80% of the time he was a formless cloud of psionic energy floating above a traveling village made up of his entirely disposable thralls and minions.
They thought he was some sort of god, and a good number of non-enthralled people followed the village because of the lure of a visible, involved diety...

Why is glue sticky?
In general, a glue is a chemical compound which contains certain substances that easily bond with other materials.
Things like Elmer's glue harden around surface imperfections on the bonding sufaces of whatever you're gluing and form bonds with the atoms in those substances. For this reason, many glues don't work well on metal or smooth surfaces.

Copy and pasting something is acceptable as long as it's relevant and answers the question. I wouldn't want to retype stuff just to avoid cut/paste.
What isn't acceptable (to me anyway) is pasting a link to a wikipedia or other article. Posting a link is just lazy, and due to the format most wikipedia articles are in, it often takes a lot of reading to find the relevant section.

The way you asked the question leads me to believe you still have feelings for your ex. If that's true, you need to have a serious think about what you really want. Answer to:
I think my boyfriend has a secret online personality or something because he has an email from a random girl with a pic and he sent one to her. I know I shouldnt be snooping, but what do i do?
Sending a pic to someone isn't anything bad. If you can't trust your boyfriend then perhaps you aren't in a very stable relationship.
You should just be honest and ask him, don't accuse or snoop. If I had a female friend online and found my girlfriend snooping around behind my back, I'd be angry with them and probably upset that they didn't trust me.

Why is "space" considered as an invalid character for our nicknames?
The real reason is very likely that the name server cannot handle the space character. Some serves strip spaces off of usernames, like AOL. Some simply don't recognize that character. I'm sure if it was easy to impliment, they would have done so. The space character is handled oddly in a lot of software.

I know these Anonymous down rating trolls are sad, angry, narrow minded, backwater vermin who interbreed and eat their own feces - so why do I get so angry when a thoughtful insight is down rated by these losers? Did I answer my own question?
I think your true problem is anger. It is a path to the dark side. (Just like Fast Foods, salty snacks, and too much butter.)
Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Suffering leads to binge eating. Binge eating leads to obesity. Obesity leads to depression. Depression leads to more anger.
Its a dark cycle.

Yes, but I think its because I don't communicate them well. Unlike factual communication, something I'm very good at, my emotional communication are lacking. I often come off as cold or indifferent, despite being polite and interested.

Its impossible to control rumors in a public environment such as a school. There are too many transmission vectors for the information to spread, and the incentive (humor) is too strong.

Water, in its natural state, is more or less chemically unresponsive. It does not react to most substances strongly.

First off, your question is odd. Weight is a function of mass and gravity, so if we're not considering gravity then you just want the physical mass of the object known as Earth.

I found a good site that explains this stuff: http://www.wonderquest.com/calculation-mass-of-earth.htm
