Helpful? No way. It's just busy work that doesn't really teach kids anything new and robs them of allll of their other time that they should be investing in their relationships and other activities.

But even more than that I hope there doesn't have to be some other poor girl who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Should men have the right to decide laws on abortion, when they will never experience pregnancy and will never have to keep a baby in their body which they don't want?
Absolutely not, but that isn't to say that men should have no options. Perhaps the men should have the option of financially aborting, and relinquishing any responsibility and rights to a baby, or to offer to pay for all the expenses if he wants to be a father, but ultimately it's still the woman's choice, as it should be.
Men should have some rights on the matter, but their...

Is there any truth in the claim that people remained alive for a while after being guillotined?
Today, the consensus is that people can stay alive for about 13 seconds (+/-) after decapitation, because the decapitation isn't what kills the brain, but the lack of oxygen and all those other chemicals the brain needs from the bloodstream.
If the force of the guillotine doesn't knock one out, a person could even remain aware of what's happening. But they're not so sure...

Why is medical help for American Veterans so poor?
I'm sure it's because it's easier and cheaper for the people in charge to talk about providing only the best for and 'supporting our troops' while hiding the ugly realities from the public than it is to actually *do* it.
I suspect some or even a lot of our people in charge are just as blissfully ignorant of it as they try to make the public.

Answer to:
What is the purpose of putting cucumber or tea bags over your eyelids?
It's supposed to reduce puffiness, but it's nothing in the cucumber that does it really except for the fact that it's cold. Raw fish, those masks with the gel in them, and just about anything else that can be made cold is probably just as effective.
Though I wouldnt recommend using raw fish.

They're better off swimming. It's not like they've got any real need for flight in their location.

What are some of the worst shows on tv now?
Dont hateme, but I really dislike My Name Is Earl for the fact that it's religious propaganda about the major tenets of Scientology masquerading around as innocent entertainment.
I'd like it better if they'd at least fess up to it.

Do you enjoy pursuing a potential "lover" or being pursued by a potential "lover"?
I'm starting to suspect that I like the pursuit and being pursued more than I like giving in or obtaining what I was pursuing.

If you were a musician, what requests would be on your rider?
Orange juice (not from concentrate), a toaster, cracked wheat high fructose corn syrup free bread, and unsalted sweet cream butter. Also, the end of a roll of toilet paper would have to facing toward the user, not the wall. Nothing irks me more than having to roll my toilet paper around and around just in order to find the loose end.
So in short, nothing too unreasonable.

Do you think it's a good idea for children to learn foreign languages in Elementary School instead of High School?
For sure. It's a lot harder for people to make the sounds some foreign languages might require once their vocal cords have become fully developed, therefore limiting the sounds they're capable of making. Plus children absorb such things like a sponge, versus bratty teenagers who typically fight it(education in general) tooth and claw.

I just found out my boyfriend sells drugs, should i break it off or try to get him to stop?
Just end it. You can't fix him.
Even if he says he'll stop when you ask him to, chances are he'll just do it more secretly from then on.

Should men sacrifice earnings so that they can stay home with their own children, and be their child's caretaker, when the money is not essential?
Both parents have to be responsible for raising their children. If fathers only provide for their families, but dont actually spend any time bonding with or getting to know their kids, they just alienate them and their children will possibly resent them for this when they get older.

What is the origin and meaning of "Put a Lid on It"?
I couldnt find anything on it in the phrase dictionary, but I did find this interesting website about Hamspeak. I'm not sure if this is relevant to the phrase, but I hope it helps.

I don't have any time to summarize this at the moment, but I'll come back to this tomorrow.

What's you thought on the group PETA? Are the pics/movies they show really of animals that are being abused, ect?
The movies are real, but taken totally out of context. I mean, there's not a whole lot our legislators can do about fur farms in China.
That said, I believe PETA is a despicable and hypocritical organization. I cannot respect a group who criticizes people for eating chicken or keeping pets, while they are themselves killing thousands of animals every year to 'save' them from...

Would you call someone who's disabled in some way 'retarded' to their face?
No, not just because they're disabled.
But if they acted like a jerk toward me, or as Nomasin said, acting deliberately stupid I wouldn't hesitate to treat them like I would anyone else.

By making us afraid to say no.
Answer to:
What is one thing that annoys u that people keep saying to u?
When people say "You're welcome" before I've had a chance to even thank them. People do this in Germany all the time, it drives me crazy!
And it makes me feel rather ungrateful too.

Do you find violent games can badly influence someone to be violent, or not?
I dont think that violent games (or violent anything elses) really influence people to be violent. I mean I watch and read a lot of violent things, but I'm definitely not a violent person. But for people who are violent already, I think perhaps those games validate it.
Answer to:
Do you think abortion is a crime?
Definitely not.
If the government gets to control a woman's uterus, then I'd imagine there'd be nothing to stop them from controlling anyone elses body parts.
To, for instance, force anyone who wouldnt die from the procedure and who is healhy enough to donate blood or organs.

Wish they brought Futurama back?
Aren't they in the process of making four Futurama movies?
If it came back it probably wouldnt be as funny as the orginal episodes. Like with Family Guy.

Answer to:
Why do guys cover up their sensitive side?
It's not something that's inherent in anyone's nature, it's just how boys are raised in this culture. Just like girls are often raised to be weak and dependent. Unfortunate, isnt it?
